  1. see, thats where we are just two very different people Dusty. If the presance of a drone upset me that much for whatever reason, and ESPECIALLY if I think they're filming, I plan to strip buck azz nekkid and do the macarena. If the tomfoolery persists I may give my car a sexy car wash while blasting some Def Leppard. You know what they say, "Heavy like a bomb baby, come and get it on." Nobody wants to see that. Nobody. I may not own my airspace, but I anticipate it will remain unpolluted.
  2. We lost a hell of an actor today. Gone but not forgotten, rest easy Waco Kid.
  3. Metalhead posted something on here a little while ago. It was understandably vague, but he did mention there was no drama and he anticipated they would be again IIRC. Good people at G&L Greenbriar, treat you like family. Of course, Steelharp is good people too so hooray for Sumner Gun and Supply joining the ranks!
  4. So THATS why you sold your motorcycle...
  5. I was gonna suggest showing up in my 'Death To Whitey" tshirt, but I like the cowbell. TGO needs more cowbell.
  6. How many firebird X's were floating around when you left? I already know, ALL of them I'm still waiting for the revolution, Henry smashed a guitar and everything. Guitar of the week was the best idea (IMO) that came out of there in some time. Still some stinkers there, but the reverse V was awesome and a few others were pretty sweet as well. I'm a recovering gibsaholic, I WANT to relapse into addiction, but I've started building and painting my own through parts or kits and am thinking about tooling up to just make my own from scratch. I just made an "R4" out of a precision guitar kit that is absolutely fantastic, PLUS I got better hardware and pickups, POI caps that are really POI and not ceramic in a fake bumblebee housing. //End rant. I think the people at Remington, like the people at Gibson are able to put out a better product than they currently do if management would just let them do their jobs.
  7. They do and it is not uncommon for them to cite (incorrectly) their own rule as 'federal law'. For exactly that reason I would personally recommend NOT storing the ammo in the same case as the guns if possible but instead put both in the same bag using (preferably) a plastic case for the ammo or factory packaging. Now to anyone reading this saying, 'gee it sounds like a huge hassle' it is not. I get my info from the TSA website, the website for the carrier I'm using and my fathers 36+ year career in AvSec. If it's happened in an airport, he's either dealt with it directly or read an account of it or both. It's easy for me to go 'above and beyond' the requirements because I have the benefit of his fore and hindsight. Follow the basic parameters and you'll be fine, go a bit above and it will be super smooth sailing. The airlines want your business and want your repeat business, they will make some pretty reasonable accommodations for you if you know what to ask for. Some airlines even have (or used to) hard sided cases you could rent or buy from them in case someone showed up to fly with a declared gun unprepared.
  8. Well technically they can and will, but that would be under pretty abnormal conditions. They will make every effort to have you unlock it though including paging you or sending someone to your gate to get you. They can also hold the baggage and not allow it to fly, but again, those are pretty abnormal circumstances. Photographers will declare a gun sometimes specifically to keep TSA hands off their equipment. $10,000 worth of lenses and cameras, a $200 high point is good security in more ways than one.
  9. Incorrect. Per the TSA they DON'T want you putting on a TSA approved lock and they will not access the weapon without you present.
  10. Saving his...Er, damsel? I didnt want it to come to this, my hand has been forced.
  11. I would suggest Nashville Armory (ask to speak to Sean, Rich, or Sean with the beard) OR Guns and Leather out in Greenbriar. Either way you'll be in good hands in my experience.
  12. Hoping for an end to your troubles Randall. Thoughts, prayer, and other good vibes sent.
  13. click on the pic to view the whole thing. She's packing heat. I'l have to revisit this later. For data gathering purposes. Legitimate data gathering purposes. Sweet, sexy legitimate data gathering...
  14. I've got a trophy case built into my entry way and thought about doing something similar with it. Since it is easily viewed by the outside when I answer the door I thought better of it, but the thought still pops into mind from time to time. Yours looks great!
  15. What makes you say that HP? I love my P32 but have lately thought about getting an LCP for a little hooter rounds in a similar sized package. Plus I'm pretty sure the ammo is cheaper. Haven't really priced .380 lately and haven't bought any .32 in at least a year so I could be wrong on that though.
  16. Also, please apologize to your neighbor. I surely didn't mean to scare anyone, maybe I came off a little strong, but you have to have a solid command presence when you are engaging in perimeter security like that. I figured she would feel safe after I left knowing we were watching out for the good people of the culdesac.
  17. When you open the emoticon menu there is a space to look them up by typing, Simply type : and that will open them all up to you since it is a part of all the code.
  18. I went down to my local gun shop today and was just holster shopping. I swear. Ended up with an H&R Pardner for under $200 which I thought was a decent enough deal. So far I really like it, operates like an 870 which is something I'm familiar enough with to be comfortable with right out of the gate. I think the trigger may be a hair heavier, but I don't have an 870 to compare to ATM and it has been to long since I shot one to definitively say. All in all I guess just go out and see whats available and something will jump out at ya.
  19. There is some common ground after all. I agree with all that.
