Obama to speak at 3:15p. I wonder what he'll say?

I am always amazed that we guard our banks, our federal buildings, our airports...but we leave our most helpless with no protection at all. Prayers for the families.
This came up so often on other Forums a while back I decided to call several manufacterers and just ask. WHat I was told by all of them, the answer is NO. However, Remington support and Mossberg told me that at some points, Walmart will request some models (597, 702) to have some metal parts replaced with plastic, parts that are not signifanct and do not affect operation.
So you are saying that Remington and Mossberg could be different at Walmart, at some point. That is similar to what I have heard, that sometimes parts are made from plastic instead of metal to lower cost on specials, but I don't think I would let that scare me away. I wonder what kind of parts in those cases.
Just curious but do you find it odd that some of the worst things are perpetrated by people proclaiming it done for god?
God is just the name the perps give the voice in their head. They would just as easy blame it on their Dog if they were an Athiest. I don't know what the Colorado and Arizona shooters called the voices they heard, but it wasn't God as neither were religious. The worst things are always done for The State, not for God. See China as evidence.

Superb.

Ahh, I do remember that "Penny" was his niece in the comics.

I don't know about assaults in general, but there was a period of about 10 years between 98 and 2008 were there was not a single case of White on Black rape reported in the United States that turned out to be factual. There was the Duke Lacrosse thing, but that was a hoax. I realize we aren't talking rape here, but I believe violent white on black crime is very rare. Black on Black is FAR more common than any other. The bottom line is, the whole Martin affair had absolutely nothing to do with race until the media stepped in and even doctored tapes to make it appear as such.
The Governor in the comics was Brian, Philip's brother who wanted to be like Philip, but was weak. He was a sadist, and an evil man. That is not who Philip is. The Governor in the TV series.
Refresh my memory, was Phillip and Brian BOTH in the comic AND the show? I don't remember Brian in the show, nor Phillip in the comic...

I think the world of the AR platform. I have several in many calibers, and to me its the weight too. The thing is if your spending that much on an AR10, with the SCAR your getting a monolithic rail and a purpose built piston system, and likely you are going to shoot groups just as small with a great deal of weight savings. I shot mine side by side with a REPR, and shot just as well, but weighed at least 3 pounds less. But again, build or shoot what you want and enjoy. I wouldn't scoff at anyone for building a great AR10 at any price. Just mentioning alternatives! I still intend to round up one too...albeit, more of a lower cost DPMS variety.
-
I hear you. To each his own. It just groups everything tight, and is so much lighter than the AR10 platform.
-
If your going to spend more than $2500, just get a SCAR. Went from M1A to SCAR and couldn't be happier. I would like a 308 AR...but would want to keep it under $1500.

Can someone tell me if I would agree with deleting the link?

Uhm, Abraham Lincoln determined that States do not have the right to secede. I suspect that precedent would be upheld by a federal show of force. It is the reason I am not a big Lincoln fan.

Nice setup! I just bought a Primary Arms Long Eye Relief Magnifier, and have used it on my SCAR 17 with an Aimpoint. It is REALLY a nice piece. The eye relief is REALLY good...probably 3 inches, which is needed with the 308. Here is a link, it may be an more affordable alternative for some of you looking for one. https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_3X_Long_Eye_Relief_Red_Dot_Magnifier_p/pa3xler.htm I also have one of the Vortex magnifiers which I run on my Blackout with an EOTech. I really like it, but the eye relief on the Primary Arms Mag is so much better, that I have to give it thethumbs up. Again, nice rifle!

Lori was annoying in the comic, and irritating in the show. Maybe it was because of the actress. I don't know...but it's good that she's dead, I'm glad that she is.

It is tempting to say let the lefties have it so we can start over...but we will lose our guns, freedom, and happiness in the meantime, and probably die before the rebuilding begins. Its like a German-Jew lamenting in 1938 that he hopes Hitler gets his way so that society collapses and they can build a new unified Jew friendly Deutschland. Did I just compare The Left to the Nazis? They are all totalitarians, so sure. I did.

A Last Minute Appeal To Libertarians And Non-Voters

A Last Minute Appeal To Libertarians And Non-Voters
atlas3025 replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If Ron Paul had won the Republican nomination, the Libertarians would be begging the "Principled" Republicans to vote with them in the General Election. I suspect the percentages would have been about the same. There would be about 10% of the Republican vote that would protest vote for a non-Paul...and we would be in just about the same place we are now...on the verge coming up just a little short of getting Obama out of office. -
Seal Team Six, National Geographic Movie, Are you Going to Watch
atlas3025 replied to runco's topic in General Chat
I watched it because I dig Hell On Wheel's Anson Mount (from TN!). I didn't get very worked up over political messages in it. I didn't really detect any. If it was a campaign piece for Obama, I didn't pick up on it. They had Obama speaking in his voice of the political ramifications if it turned out to not be a baddie in the compound, or if the op was botched...but I didn't get the impression of Obama kicking ass and demanding we get Osama. It portrayed him as hesitant for good reason. I don't think this show will change anyone's mind...and I didn't get the impression it was trying to. -
I will be there...in a sling from shoulder surgery. Say hi if you see me.

Congratulations! I love it when a gun comes together!

I used to think so too...until I realized I had to have a monster cheek pad to be able to use a scope...then I had to take the cheek pad off to use the Iron Sites. I have had a SOCOM 16 and an M1A--and I really like them--but I have a SCAR now and it lightyears beyong the M1A. But if I didn't have a SCAR, I would go with an AR-308 of some sort. Either a SIG716 or DPMS Likley. I have shot both, and they both were terrific!

Poor guy doesn't understand who his audience is.
