  1. "Hey y'all.  Watch this!"
  2.   I was referring to the use of the reconciliation process to pass the House version of the bill in the Senate with only 59 votes after Scott Brown's election in Jan. of 2010, after which the ACA became the "law of the land".
  3. Since Swiss GP11 ammo generates pressures which are too high for these guns, are there any sources, other than hand loading modified .284W brass, currently available?
  4.   The US Senate couldn't pass Obamacare without a 60 vote majority either ...
  5.   You are obviously not a technologically-challenged, non-dexterous, potentially senile, old fart ...
  6.  More like "45 vs 9mm" ...
  7. Not a problem. I'm not home during the day, and I don't answer when I am home. If it gets worrisome, I will turn the ringers off.
  8.   I've read the books, so I knew that was coming.  Unless they change the storyline from the books, anyone who has read them can answer your question, but that would bring on more  complaints about spoilers ...       Dynastic succession.  Tommen becomes the king, Margery is out now, as the widow of a former king is not part of the dynasty, in fact her position could (not saying will, or should, no spoiler here) become quite precarious, depending on how certain characters react to the succession ...   And if anything, the show has vastly understated the Bastard's treatment and mutilation of Theon as compared to the books ...
  9. I don't answer the phone (landline, I don't own a cell) when it rings.  You leave a message, if I want to talk to you I return the call. I almost never do.  Joining all the "no-call" lists helps, if I ever get the kind of harassment the OP talked about I would just unplug the phones for a few days.
  10. They are also taking consignments, so other items may be sold at the auction as well.
  11. If I ever get tired of watching grass grow and paint drying, I'll have to give watching golf a try ...

    Other hobby

Some of the ones made with exotic woods and trimmed in brass are works of art. Calculations. Believe it or not, it was entirely possible to do math before the modern electronic calculator was invented. I still miss my old TI-55, my favorite calculator of all time. Ah, the E6B. Spent a few hours learning to use one of these, mainly in preparation for flight exams. Another sign of the times, they are selling electronic versions now, still seems somewhat ironic to me.
  13.   Cool! Sounds like an opportunity for a new TGO contest, i.e. be the first to ID the banned guys.  I know of 4 so far, wonder what the prize will be ...
  14.   And the trick for that is to carefully align your pin so that it lands directly in a bucket of oil normally used for soaking spare milsurp parts while cleaning.  Clever, aren't I!     It's the tiny part that launches directly into the stratosphere, never to be seen again (unless of course you use the bucket trick posted earlier).     Don't be so hasty there, I managed to launch one with the tool ...     It's a well-known fact that no c-clip ever made actually fits the hinge pin ...
  15. "Why you don't use someone elses reloads"   ... because it's someone else's reloads ...
  16.   I'm betting one of the 45 is more better than 9mm ...
  17.   True, but one thing about the books, if he keeps adding new characters and plot-lines like he has in the last two, it will take many more than 2 books to conclude this series.  At the rate that Martin turns them out, he will need to live to about 120 or so ...
  18. All ammo made for the US military and other agencies was specifically exempted in the original statute.
  19. Check with local used car dealers.  Typically, there is a guy in most every area who works out of the back of a truck, usually makes the rounds once a week or so to most of the dealers.  They can put you in touch with either this type of person, or maybe an upholstery shop that does headliners.
  20.       On at least one level, yes ...
  21.   Age, overall health, and sobriety level can often have a deleterious effect on that wait ...
  22. I don't know of any type of insert or unit ID that was ever placed in that spot by the Finns. I suspect it's a old splice that has separated over time, the Finn armories were known to use square splices on stocks, and that location is an area known for cracks and splits. Having said that, I would be quite happy to take that rifle as a gift, missing stock splice included. :)
  23.   Yes, and the "accidentally" funny ones are always the best!
  24.   You're obviously not familiar with daytime television talk shows, entertainment TV, most pop culture, the internet, social media in general, or Twitter ...
  25. Yep.  Google "Lady Vols" ...
