  1. I have a new Glock 21 Gen 3 .  I like the Gen 3 but also the Gen 2 . What are your thoughts on which is better ?  I ask this becuase I am on the fence right now about finding a nice Gen 2 Glock 21 to trade even . The Gen 3 has the loaded chamber indicator on the extractor , finger grooves, and a more glossy finish. The Gen 2 has no finger grooves , no loaded chamber indicator on the extractor and a flat grayish type finish . Any other pros and cons ? Are the newer Gen 3 Glock 21's upodated or more improved over the Gen 2's ?
  2. Get yourself a Glock DVD on how to do a complete disassembly of the Glock. You will learn a lot ! The Glock pistol is awesome ! Very few parts and springs to go wrong . Just amazing !
  3. Hey guys , sorry to bother , but what is an average price of a new septic tank installemnt ? This would be with new field lines and the normal stuff . My house was made in 1954 and the tank is just as old and has never been pumped nor malfunctioned until now. I am getting it pumped this wednesday but in case there is more trouble on the horizon , I want a good round price estimate.  WE never put dirty paper in it ( my mom said to never do that so we put dirty paper in the trash, yeah it's yucky but has worked since 1954) , but I am wondering if it is a crushed field line or just greasy filled pipes.  This was my Granmother's house and now we live in it .  Any help is appreciated !
  4. I had a Glock 19 and sold it. I wish I had it back until I found an X-Grip for my Glock 26 . It allows for me to use a Glock 19 magazine in my Glock 26 . It has the same grip as the 19 but only a slight shorter barrel and the G26 is more easier to find and also to conceal if you use the 10 rd flush mag. Here is mine with the G19 mag and X-grip
  5. Yes , the almighty Glock 30 . It is one of the most accurate Glocks that there is . Very reliable and dependable.
  6. Hey guys I just got my new MecGar 14 rd mag for my P-01 9mm. This new mag has no rubber base pad like my stock CZ mag has.  It fits very nice and flush up against my gun.  My question is this : Can I take my stock CZ magazine and cut off the rubber base plate and it too be flush ?  Any help is appreciated .  I just dont want to start cutting and ruin it if this cant be done .
  7. I liked the part where you said "Well, the grass IS greener, and it's not necesarily over a septic tank"  LOL !!!!!!
  8. Thanks guys . Just to make it clear  I never do any of this on another person's gun nor any gun that is not mine. I was just wondering if there were any ill effects of it . Thanks a bunch for all the information . :usa:
  9. I was just wondering about this since I have read all the hype about not doing it yet I have did it to my Glock 22 for 14 yrs when dry-firing it for practice.  Now I dont blame the gun store owner , he is correct since the customer doesnt own the gun , but my question is weather it is ok to do it on a gun of your own ? and does it matter with a striker fired gun or hammer fired one ?
  10. One of my buddies at work carries the same gun on his ankle every day as his back up to our G22 . He has carried it for at least 5 years and it has been flawless. Reading this now makes me wonder about getting one , damn there goes more money LOL !
  11. I was at a gun shop here while back and I heard the gun shop owner say to a guy to please not let the slide slam forward and I have also heard people say to not let the slide "ride" home on an empty chamber . I understand the gun shop owner saying this because it is his guns and they are new , but why would it not be ok to do this on your own pistol ? I understand that having a round entering the chamber does cushion the slide some when it is pushing it up and into it but it doesnt look like it would hurt a Glock .  Any information is appreciated . I dont know this and I am always learning and that is why I ask .
  12. Why are revolvers in short supply ? I thought the big crazy thing was the semi-auto's ? I am waiting for a Ruger LCR revolver and now on a waiting list . This sucks so bad . I never thought that I'd be on a waiting list for a 5 shot revolver .
  13. I really don't care about the pope , I am just admiring the Augusta Bell 139 ! Man that is a nice helicopter ! Smooth as silk and easy on the eyes !
  14. Thanks and that was what I was looking for . If the Pyrodex was corrosive while just sitting in the barrel . I will shoot it to get it out of there but I have to travel around 21 miles to my other land to shoot it . Around my neighborhood it would draw a lot of attention if I shot that dude into the ground out back
  15. How long can you keep a muzzleoader loaded up with powder (pyrodex pellets) and a bullet without corrosion? Just wondering will the powder corrode the barrel or does it only corrode it AFTER it's been fired ? I usually fire mine after the season if I still have it loaded but mine is still loaded.

Sounds like a good deal to me ! some beer for a brief use of your pistol ? HECK YEAH!!!!!
  18. Sorry to bother you guys with this . I am not really up to date on politics, the most I ever listen or hear about them is when I listen to Phil Valentine on the radio ( he is on radio in Nashville on channel 99.7) . Anyways I am wondering when the the "assault weapon thingy" going to be done ? I am pretty much wanting to know when is this thing , whatever the politicians are gonna do, going to be over so we will know what will still be able to be purchased and what wont ?  I am going through my mid-life crisis , LOL, and I am on the fence of selling my Bushmaster rifle to get funds to buy a Fox Body Mustang . But if the "ban" does happen then I am not so sure to sell it . It is pretty much new bought back in 2004 new by me  and only had 150 rds through it . If these rifles are banned I may keep it , but then again , I hadnt shot it since 2005 .  I know that I would sure have more fun with that Fox Body !
  19. Oh my God !!!!! That is the best comment of the year !!!! And true !!!!
  20. Also , I have a 30'X60' area that I have a fence built around to keep the deer out. I use that area for our tomatoes and canteloups and such but the kids love black-berries so much that I may use hal of this area to grow the berries there. I' thinking of putting some 6 foot tall rods in the ground spaced out about 5 foot every segment and run wires on them all and let the berries run up and along the wires.  Does this sound good ?
  21. Thanks for all the information and keep it coming. So what part of the year should I plant them ? Like maybe after the last cold spell or what ?
  22. I hear you on the wild ones. We used to have them here all the time but I dont see anything like that anymore , just wild "country" roses growing along the ditches here and there. Also , I love that line you have about how T.V. is to your mind , very true !
  23. Were they in the form of a bush or plant ?
