  1.   This. I know she can sing well, but I'm so disinterested in her music. I would put my enthusiasm on par with reacting to my 9 year old showing me how quickly he ate his mashed potatoes. I might give them both a "wow, nice" without glancing over.
  2.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW-NiGp1gys   this part cracked me up.
  3.   Well, you're not a sysadmin :)   That S6 might be right in some places but around here there are plenty of mid TN jobs that don't require all that. I tend to stick to medium sized shops though. I prefer having access to most everything and not being pigeon holed into one job. It's a pain running everything, but you don't get stale.
  4.   Sure, I'll tell the PMO you said that :P
  5.   Being honest here. I'm TL;DR'ing this entire thread but caught this part.   Definitely finish the bachelors degree. Several places  (HCA for instance) won't let you move into management without it. Certs are more for company compliance type stuff honestly. If it's required and they'll pay for it, i'll take it. Otherwise, if it's not making me more money... pass.   My company is based in Nashville and we're hiring a Senior Sys Admin. I've been seeing some huge cert lists. Ya know what 50 certs tells me? You spend all of your time studying to get certs. MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, A+, N+, S+, ITIL...blah blah blah. When someone tells me they have a cert during an interview.. I hammer the hell out of them on the topic to figure out if they know their crap or if they've been doing boot camps and brain dumps.   There are so many techs nowadays who fancy themselves "in the know" because they've attended a few seminars. Most of those people spend all of their time trying to dream up the next big thing and trying to network with others. Then you say "hey, go delete the shadow copies off x server" and they have to spend 30 minutes on google trying to figure out what that means.
  6.   He thought you had gone crazy :)   He would still be right!
  7.   That's horrible macville!   yet... I agree fully....
  8. Gah, what a loss. I've always appreciated his work. This feels like a part of my youth has died. I've been watching him on screen for so long after all.
  9.   *golf clap*
  10. "strange bed-fellows" indeed   http://gunssavelives.net/blog/11-pro-gun-celebrities-yes-they-do-exist/
  11.   I looked at the Tennessee jeeps site on occasion and still see a guy around Nashville with the logo on his windshield. So after I got mine, my first trip online was to the site and it was gone!    So you got rid of your jeep over that? If so, that's shame.   I just want to put tires in dirt and have some laughs... certainly not down with the people drama.
  12. $35, holy mother..   For that price will my lane at least take me out to dinner first?
  13. That gun sure would look good with a UTG scope on it. Maybe an NC Star red dot.
  14. Where's the picatinny rail? You would think Ruger would know better by now. My ACOG aint gonna mount itself.
  15.   maybe like this dude https://i.imgur.com/jTriOwS.gifv
  16.   Don't forget the slide that hitches when you pull it and the grip safety that superman would have a hard time depressing properly.
  17. Gah that thing was awful...
  18. I'm really glad this was resolved. He's a cool guy   If it hadn't, at least he and his son could get jobs as shade trees.
  19.   Site isn't loading for me. Could be our IDS blocking it though. Will check it when I'm off corporate.
  20. I can see it now. One of these wheelers is not like the others.
  21. Ok, I guess I should clarify. I'm looking less for "what parts do I buy?" and more for "anybody know of a good jeep group?"   Great suggestions though. :D
  22.   The shortened version (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
  23.   Yeah I'm not doing that... I want to do some accessories for sure but I've already made up my mind that I'm not going to overdo it. Snorkels and what not. If it's functional and improves my experience, I will add it.
  24. After 14 years of driving the same old pickup, I finally upgraded to a 2015 Willy's Wheeler edition 2 door! Super stoked about it as you can imagine. I've wanted to wait until I got a few payments under my belt but now I'm starting to get some interest in joining a community and doing a little "light" offloading. I'm not looking to rock crawl or roll it trying to climb up some vertical cliff or anything, but I would like to join a community of like minded folks and maybe hit some trails, glean some knowledge and just generally get my feet wet.   I'm most definitely a novice and the vehicle is stock. I guess that's a slight misnomer since it's effectively a sport edition with Rubicon upgrades. But I don't have a lift kit and a winch or anything. Yet...   I can imagine there are more than a few of you who attend meetups etc. Any suggestions?
  25.   SNAFU comes to mind
