6 months later TGO David: "So who knew that clicking that link 4,000 times would stop gun control?" NoBanStan: "Now if that only worked on computers....." ****edit*** Couldn't spell my own name.

Having met and talked with you a few times, I wouldn't be surprised if I discovered you had built the irone throne from magazines. :D -
As an informed clicker, what's your angle on this? A newcomer who feels the need to "rattle our cages". That's a serious question... as I wouldn't join a community to immediately point out how I felt other communities were better in my opinion. I'm not signing it because: A.) Spam ahoy B.) It's entirely unstructured, it's just a rant about "don't touch mah guns"... maybe it needs to be about specific callouts like unconstitutional embargo's on weapons import? Or the up coming EO's? and finally C.) He called them assault rifles......

Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114
NoBanStan replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's hard to read through the list of "facts" about gun control when they throw in this tidbit: "As the single largest purchaser of firearms in the country, the Federal Government ......" Some would point out that I'm taking that line out of context because I'm omitting how our government plans to research and employ smart gun tech. But I think it's more potent that they themselves freely admit they are the largest customer for the firearms industry. Do as I say, not as I do? cited from https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/01/04/fact-sheet-new-executive-actions-reduce-gun-violence-and-make-our -
The shield is a good little pistol all around. If I had to point out the negatives: 1.) Too thin. It grips well but I found that I had to consciously not put so much finger on the trigger or I would be pulling left. I don't own one though, so this is likely just me. 2.) The trigger isn't my favorite. not the pull, just the feel. It has that hinged M&P plastic trigger thingy. Every shot felt like it was going to snap in half. Outside of that, I had no complains. It's not very snappy despite the size. I would carry one if I didn't have other preferences. I seriously doubt you'd go home cursing yourself for buying one. Plus, if you hated it... it would resell easy.

Please Consider Becoming a TGO Benefactor or Authorized Vendor
NoBanStan replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
TDR for Mod 2016! I need to pay up... all of my money is going into home repair for sale. I had to drop $500 yesterday on new decking. Rest assured I will, but I gotta be smart with my money before I can have fun with it. -
My daughter wanted to shoot yesterday for the first time
NoBanStan replied to Johnny Rotten's topic in Show and Tell
I find it endearing when a girly girl shoots. On more than one occasion I've helped instruct a woman in makeup and heels. One evening at the Nashville Armory I helped a couple of young girls wearing cotton dresses and heels who showed up with a 357. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to help someone but I watched them drop two above the line and then one off the floor about 3 feet in front of the barricade. The range officer didn't see it so i just yelled "woah woah woah!" and taught them how to shoot single action.... turns out they were a couple and had taken some vow to "do extreme stuff". They had gone skydiving the day prior. But I digress.... Kudos to your daughter. She's officially shot more full auto than I have :D -
I think I just died a little

As an internet savvy guy who's seen too much... I notice you also got her a sharpie.... :ugh:

WINNERS! Free TGO Benefactor Subscription! WINNERS!
NoBanStan replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
It was cool to see my name hit the shorter list. The randomizer didn't like me very much. I was near the bottom both times! LOL Congrats to the winners and thanks to TDR for being a stand up guy. -

My boss decided that since we have to work on Christmas eve for a few hours, we would use that opportunity to.... go see star wars... again.... so tomorrow I go to see it for the 3rd time. The good news, I got to see it free the first time. The second was on a gift card (had to spend 62 cents at the concession counter) and tomorrow is free. That's a lot of entertainment for 62 cents.

When BigK and I met you in Smyrna... I thought you were a nice guy.... I will never unsee this...... My star wars related reaction

Merry Christmas! Regardless of subscription!

Saw it again tonight with my son. Fun the second time around.

Watched it today during a vendor event. Free 3d, free concessions and even had empty seats on either side of me! I flipping loved it. It had just the right amount of campy and the characters were great. They fixed everything that was wrong with the last three. The only negative light I could shed on it is that it had some rather convenient writing. I thought it was predictable but it didn't ruin the experience for me in the slightest. ****edit*** Spelling

I can only hope the 2 votes for "to sell" are from folks with FFL's..... because surely the fine community members of TGO undertand the implications of buying or the express purpose of sale..... :)
-
I'm not, but according to Adrian's undead diary, you can move one using an engine block lift attached to the back of a full size truck.... just be careful not to get it stuck in the mud during the zombie apocalypse... :)

That'll look good sitting on the front porch :D
