I didn't have a good experience with that railed reciever cover. There's so much pressure going back against it that I found my scope would never stay true, even the slightest wabble and you're off. They make a mount that fits on the side that doesn't have that problem i'm told. I won't say i've bothered to find out who makes it or the price however.
You could always throw a cheap barska reflex sight or red dot on the front rail though if you wanted to stay with the tacticool look. it won't co-witness but at least it would still feel modern. Some folks frown on spicing up the SKS, but i don't see anything wrong with it. I bought a ton of aftermarket parts for mine but at the end of the day i found that it shot better with its original parts. The removable mags I have work but I even switched back to the 10rnd fixed. it's just balanced better imho.
Oh, i think there is also a bipod that will work on your bayonet lug. Again, not a part that I bought.
I've actually been meaning to pickup that tapco intrafuse stock. When I bought mine probably 10 years ago i bought one of the fiberforce draganov stocks and a converter to let it use AK47 magazines. Worked perfect but it moved the gun about 5-6 inches forward off your shoulder, which made me have to extend my left arm almost fully to support it. There was NO WAY i could hold it at the ready for long. The AK47 mag converter was made especially for that stock so when it went... so did the converter. Real shame, it shot nicely.
