  1. I'm hoping we'll get to move to a distributed peer-to-peer mesh type network. I'm starting to look into it more seriously as I think we're getting towards the technology and penetration level that's necessary to get something off the ground.
  2.   Quite amusing as although they were not screaming queens, they did seem a little stereotypically light in the loafers.
  3. I think the ones Walmart currently have are better than the "Enviro-flow" ones they were selling for a while. I have one of those round ones that they sell at TSC which seems to work pretty well.   I don't know about stabilizer but I used some non-ethanol that had been in my basement for 8 years to replace some ethanol gas that had gone bad over the winter in my mower and it fired right up.   As an interesting aside, those Nato cans are based on a German design and they were much sought after by British troops in the war as their cans were prone to damage and hard to carry. It actually got to where the Germans would leave behind booby trapped cans.
  4. I like the idea of fuel cells but this seems like the wrong application. I already have a battery pack with a li-ion battery that is charged by USB or the large solar panel on the side. I also like the picture in the kickstarter page where the fuel cell is being used to charge a phone in the car and is sitting literally two inches from the cigarette lighter (for which adapters can be had for $1 off of ebay).   And aren't the band going to have something to say about the name?
  5. I'm certainly no expert but this looks like those people operating the rifle range would have to walk past the line-of-fire of those using the pistol ranges (albeit they would be somewhat protected by the berms) I wonder if it would be better to have berms along the outside of the pistol areas and have a path that runs along the side of the rifle berms?
  6. How about some boot soles?
  7. Currently catching up on "Z Nation" on Netflix. Production values are a bit weaker then TWD but enjoying it a lot.
  8. "I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."   -- R.A.Heinlein
  9. Can't fault you for it though. It's something that has pretty much infiltrated the dieting zeitgeist. I only looked into it because it didn't make sense and I had some success when I was dieting with having a very low calorie day whenever I could bring myself to it.   Our bodies are pretty smart (other than not knowing when to stop accumulating fat) and entering a "starvation mode" when there are plenty of fat stores to burn would be a counter-survival tactic. Similarly with burning muscle before fat.
  10. Walmart usually has a better selection of sizes online than in-store.
  11. Nope. If you're not in fear of your life, you shouldn't be going for your gun. If you are in fear of your life and you don't go for your gun, I'm sure you'll feel good lying in your casket that you avoided standing trial.   If you want to study the tactics of actual situations, that's a totally different thing.   (Of course, you do whatever you think best. I'm just saying the way I see it).
  12. Not a bad plot and premise but clumsily executed.
  13.   I think the "muscle not fat" and "starvation mode" things have been thoroughly debunked. The starvation mode idea was based on people who actually were starving and had something like 2% body fat.
  14. Almost thought it was real for a second. Cause real soccer players are famous for faking it anyway.
  15.   Why try and second guess yourself? You are either in fear of serious bodily harm or not. Deal with it honestly and then face the outcome.
  16. Yeah, the story really needs to advance occasionally which it really hasn't done since the revelation that everyone's infected.
  17. Cool to see Vaas popping up.
  18.   I think we missed the whole "Getting from Atlanta to 100 miles outside of Washington" thing.
  19. The consistency is awful. Zombie killed with a toy airplane one second, next zombie overpowering a pretty muscular guy the next.
  20.   I do think they put a lot of their budget into that shot with Rick shooting the walker through the shoulder and head this week.
  21.   Again, that's a regular old scam that just happens to use Bitcoin.
  22.   That's not out of line. I think I usually reckon on an average of 42 minutes.
