I watched a news special the other night about the Broken Juvenile Legal system and it is not broken. It is almost non-existent. Some Officers have arrested a Juvenile for possession of a stolen fire arm at 7PM and arrested him 4 hours later and he had another gun when they arrested him the second time. He was released at 7:30 to his mother and she said he never went in the house but took off soon as she stopped her car at home. The police said that the system is just a swinging door. The singer that was killed during a car hijacking was shot by a 13 year old that had 5 prior arrests with 3 of them for stolen gun violations during the commission of a felony armed robbery. He was arrested with 3 friends for the murder and he is the only one still locked up and his mother said she hopes they try him as an adult and he gets a long prison sentence. During the report it was said that the zip code for north Nashville and Madison area has more juvenile arrests than any other place in America. Now with that said, if an officer shoots and kills one during the commission of a crime they want to hang the officer for doing his job!!! They asked one officer if he had any idea how to fix the problem and he said yes, just 1. Pass a law the permitted people the right to use deadly legal force to protect their property without fear of prosecution and it would take a short time and you would begin to see the numbers go down pretty quick. He said until you put some fear in these young people that they can be killed by the property owner they will continue to do as they please because they don't fear being arrested.

I was just throwing some other options out there because I have seen Gelatin explosives in action in a Flagstone quarry and the blast is more of an orangish flash, and would not be as heavy to move or haul. Plus if his ex-girlfriend could tell what he was doing when she said making bombs it would be obvious what he was using looked like a stick style explosive. As far as her and her lawyer reporting his actions over a year ago it would appear that every law enforcement agency from Metro police to all the 3 letter or more all dropped the ball. FBI, ATF, CIA, and Homeland Security were all involved and got reports about this guy and did nothing. I can see now that is why the phrase" If you see something say something" is not working!! The FBI even said they didn't even know about the guy yet they had a file on him! I guess we will have to wait till it is on Unsolved Mysteries in a few years to get the facts. The insurance companies are all praying they label it terrorist action so they don't have to pay out for damages to people that lost everything. I think it was just a nutcase with a grudge....JMHO

I had a driveway alarm when I lived in Gallatin but don't have one here. If they make it past Tommy's house up front without getting stopped I figure it is someone we know. Mine was not an expensive one and came from Harbor Freight and the outside wireless unit was Battery operated and the base worked on 110 volt and it would react to anything moving including the UPS truck.

I notice most folks are fixed on a fertilizer bomb but I have another idea that might throw a wrench into that idea. The guy was an electronic wizard to people that knew him. Fertilizer is one option but you would also need something such as diesel fuel in large amounts. The RV was not squatting so it would not appear to have that kind of weight in it. Now with all the construction going on in Nashville that means there would be a few trailers of Gelatin explosives setting around town and in them that require blasting caps to detonate so they must be kept in a different location. With this guys electronic abilities, he could have made this own blasting caps capable of setting of Gelatin dynamite. In my opinion he used something other than Fertilizer to blow himself and the RV up. Authorities have not said to the best of my knowledge just what he used to cause the explosion.....JMHO.

The only thing I am 99% sure of is the guy wanted to go out of the world in a Blaze of Glory and as of right now it appears he was successful in his endeavor. Beyond that I have no comment!

Very similar to the Oklahoma bombing of the FBI building.....JMHO

Ok so here is an update on Daisy. Her owner has made the decision that he will only let someone have her that he knows personally so y'all can disregard my previous post. He has made the decision so the ball is totally in his court now. Thanks to all of your posts and I guess I'm done with my part of helping him.!!

One more and you would have an even 1/2 dozen and she would have lots of friends!!!!

Ok so here is the scoop on Daisy. She is a loving large house dog. She is a coon hound but has never been a hunter but a house dog since she was a puppy. She is totally house trained, gets along well with other dogs and cats and most of all children. She has had a 19 month old little girl pulling on her ears and tail and has never shown any aggression what so ever. She is almost 4 years old and giving her up is not an option. It is a must or she would not be looking for a new home. My friend found out about 2 months ago that he must give her up because they are expecting a new baby and the doctors have realized that the baby has a couple issues with her heart and they are going to take the baby by C-section 10 days earlier than birthdate and the baby will go directly from the mothers womb to the heart surgery room and undergo open heart surgery to correct the problems with the baby's heart. It will require the baby remaining in the hospital for about 2 months and the doctor told my friend that any and all pets need to go and the house has to be professionally cleaned and sanitized before the baby comes home. So that is the reason Daisy needs a new home. If I didn't have Rosie I would take her in a heartbeat but I can't afford 2 critters. I will have pictures of her soon for folks to see but I wanted to get people thinking about her.

Nice buck for sure!!!

I killed my first deer with a Savage model 110 bolt gun in 308 Caliber and killed several with it over the years. The gun was very accurate all the time.

Mike use to come by my house when I lived in Gallatin and he was working at Sumner Gun and Supply. He knew I was a guy that liked Bersa's and if they got a special one in on trade he would always stop in and tell me that it was put back until I could get up to see if I wanted it. I got 3 of my Bersa's from Sumner because of him with my favorite being a 40 Caliber I had been looking for. He was a very good friend. His wife and family are in my prayers and will be every night. Rest in Peace my dear friend as you are surely being missed by many!!!! Bersaguy

Rosie is beginning to accept this is her new home so now it's playtime with everything. I have a box of those large green milk bone chew biscuits that are suppose to clean their teeth. I gave her one this afternoon and it was toss and chase and toss and bark and chase, then it was time to hide it and she spent about an hour trying to hide it and no place was good enough. She would hide it and bark at it, go get it again and after an hour she decided no place was safe enough so she laid down and ate it. I also figured out the once the water bottles are flat and don't crackle any more when she bites them they are no longer toys and I just pick them up and trash them. Since I drink water all the time she has plenty of new bottles. At least 3 or 4 a day so she spends a lot of time crackling them all day.
-
Well I was trying to see if she might play with toys so I dug out some of the old dog toys I had stored and scattered them out on the floor and she nosed them around on the floor and would make one squeak once in a while but never showed much interest. Yesterday she was outside playing in the snow and when she came back in she had a toy she found outside but not what I thought she would like so much. She had an empty water bottle and was running through the house throwing it and chasing it and crunching on it making it crackle. She played with it off an on all day. I was really surprised when we got ready for bed and she went and got her toy and put the toy in her bed and I said now you have a toy to sleep with. I laughed at her and 3 times during the night she woke me up playing with the toy. She has been playing with it today also....LOL.

LOL....Rosie also can hear the fridge door open from anywhere in the house and she has her nose it it if she gets there before I close it....LMBO!!

I'm sorry to hear this my friend as I have been through that twice. Take my word for it. Better to go through that than watch them suffer......JMHO

I want to thank all of you for the kind words about Rosie and yes she is a sweetheart for sure. And as far as the spoiling, that began soon as she arrived here. The vet sent 50 lbs of her food with her and I put her a bowl of it down and she went 3 days without touching it so I had my daughter call the breeder about her not eating. The reply was she has always been a nibbler and does not eat a lot at 1 time. Well, she may be a breeder but I have had a Hound most all my life while growing up and Hounds love to eat. I grew up with Beagles and my son and Grandsons all have coon hounds and they all eat. I had a few bags of Pedigree soft packs left from Darby and I thought I would try something. I picked up the bowl of food and mixed 1 pack of the chunky chicken with gravy in it and put it back down and she ate it like she was starved to death. So now she gets a mix each night and she cleans the bowl every night. I also had my daughter go get her a new dog bed at TSC and I put it at the foot of my bed and added a blanket cause I found out that her whole life was spent sleeping on a concrete floor with indoor/outdoor on it in a kennel house and that is hard on an old dogs joints. I made her a bed from a quilt till I could get her the bed and she spent the first night just sleeping on the soft carpet on my floors and the second night I got her to test run the quilt and she would go on it and get back off a couple times and I told her it was up to her where she slept. I woke up for a bathroom trip about 3 AM and she was asleep on the quilt bed......LOL. When her new bed arrived it was bright white lined and she would not go near it. I decided to put the brown blanket on it and put a Milkbone snack in the bed and about 10 minutes later the snack was gone and she realized how good the bed felt I guess cause as you can tell by the pictures below she loves the bed. So for those of you said it's time to spoil her, I think I have already done that....LOL. I also now have a fenced yard to keep other dogs away from her that run loose in the neighborhood.

I think most folks know I lost Darby to Kidney failure about 2 months ago and I went on the quest for another best friend. I have Kasey and Darby both in urns on my Tv Console. I was limited to finding a new best friend as I couldn't go to the Rescue Centers in person to see the dogs. Well my daughter has Basset hounds and she went to pick up he newest puppy and she called me up while there and ask me if I would like to have a Bassett. The lady had a 6 year old female she was not going to breed again and was wanting to rehome her. She sent me a couple pictures and I told her to get the dog and bring it to me. Her name is Rosie and she is a pure bred female and he book name is Yellow Rose. The move to here from the kennel home was quite an adjustment since the breeder had her from a puppy and she was use to living in a kennel with other dogs around her. She spent the first couple days going around the house smelling and sniffing everything in every room. I spent a lot of time with her and learned that she loves all the attention she can get so I may spend a few hours just rubbing her ears and petting her and she soaks it up like a sponge.....LOL I will try and post a picture of her.

I must say that back when they were working on the Aids Vaccine and H1N1 Vaccine we didn't have the technology we have today to create a new vaccine for this virus. I'm sure that they are using cutting edge technology to create the Vaccine. Whether the Warp Speed creation of it has anything to do with it, I have no clue. Now as far as who gets it first and who gets it last, stop and think for a second. Of course they would put the elderly at the end of the list. They have been wanting to cut back the elderly population for years because every time an old person dies Social Security benefits from it, Medicare benefits from it and so does Medicaid. That is one less person on the dole for it. I know that is a negative way of looking at it but facts are facts. I doubt I will be stepping up in line to get the vaccine any time soon if at all. If it works and does prevent the virus from people getting it that improves my chance of not catching it but at my age I'm not planning on going out to test it and find out. I have heard a lot of people say they won't be getting it and others can't wait to get it.

My son in law that lives in the front house has said that is the system goes down again he is going to go buy everything we need for both houses and set it up using good equipment and just use their Fiber Optics to power it all. My house runs off his house with a Wifi booster at present. I'm glad Tommy knows how to do all this stuff or I would be paying someone big bucks to do it. He started to do that before they fixed it this time but it seems they fixed it. If it happens again he will do it. I'm almost lost without a computer. Other than TV it is all I have to do these days. I have not been off the property more than about 10 miles since March. I do start the jeep and take it for a drive to keep it all loosened up and working about once or twice a month but only drive in the country. Next trip I will go and gas up but pay at the pump so won't have to mingle with folks.

Well, I had a great dinner without ever leaving the house. Daughter and son in law showed up just long enough to bring me dinner which they brought enough for about 3 people so I have plenty of left overs for a couple days. And for desert I have my choice of Homemade Pecan pie, Homemade Pumpkin Pie or homemade Cheesecake and I couldn't believe it but she made me a Mincemeat Pie just for me which will be my first choice......LOL. For years I have said how much I miss not having any Mincemeat Pie at Thanksgiving and no one has ever made it in the family. All they said is that's a Yankee pie and not made down south. Once in a while I will see a can of it on a shelf in certain stores but only during the holiday season. Publix has it during the Holidays. This year my daughter looked up how to make it from scratch on the computer and she made me one. I have Turkey, Ham, Green Bean casserole, Mash taters, dressing, Cranberry sauce, Dumplings, Canned Yams and Rolls and probably missed something but fridge is full of food......LOL!
