1. Well I can agree with everything you said GranTorino 6.8 and Kidd. All good points but then we all knew they would back pay all the blood suckers on the taxpayer payroll so that was a gimme. I read and article today that was talking about the White House staff that si taking care of the Obama family during the shutdown. The servants working at present is 15 that takes care of the resident apartment they first family lives in. That is down from the 90 that normally staffs it. Who in the Hell needs 90 servants to wait on any apartment?  I realize that Michelle does have 10 hair dressers  and he hair still looks like a birds nest regardless and I am sure that each kids must have at least 10 of their own. Let us not forget the dog trainers and care takers for the two dogs. Thing is I don't mind paying the dog care half as much as I hate paying to take care of Barrack and Michelle. I like dogs even ugly ones like they have.............jmho
2. Ninja's are most certainly quieter. That is a gimme. But they are also limited as to weapons. The weapons have limited distance but are effective in many cases. Now as for the Seals. Their ability with any weapon including the weapons of the Ninja are all part of their training. They are also trained in all forms of marshal arts so just being a little quieter may have a slight edge that is not always all that is needed. Ninja's bring knives to gun fights which has proven over history to not be a winning decision to often. And the Trinkets they throw won't penetrate today's body armor. So I guess being quiet is good but I would rather have a Seal protecting me than a Ninja but that is.........jmho
3. Ok, I guess I am brain dead on this. The headline to this thread Democrats to vote to over ride Shut down. Was it not Reid and Obama's plan to shut the Government down all along? What did I miss............... :ugh: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:
4. That day will never come.  They are all declared security Classified which is a good think with all of the screen door leaks we have in Washington that would endanger the Seals more than they already are.......jmho

Jerkey

I buy 1 pound bags of Jacks Links Jerky at Sams for $12.95 a bag for the queens snacks.  I use to feed her Waggin Tails chicken jerky and paid $14.95 for it until I found out they quit making it here and began having it made in China. I contacted Jacks links and asked them where their products are made and they said U.S. and Canada. I figure it is made for Human consumption and my friends grab some when they stop by and none of them have died yet. I gnaw of some once in a while but not often. The queen loves it so works for me.
6. Well 2014 cannot get here fast enough for me...............
7. No they are not bad people and it is because they are so poor...BS BS BS BS BS. They live in countries full of people driving gold plated Mercedes Benz's and have gold drapes surrounding their palaces windows. They are all oil rich countries that got wealthy at our expense with their oil prices. The terrorists are better funded then our own Military is and some woman here thinks we should feel sorry for them. She can pity them all she wants. If they can afford to purchase plane tickets and then fly the planes into buildings killing 1000's of people I say they should have use that money to help buy food for the hungry back home instead of those plane tickets. Those people will never find pity in my home.......jmho
8. Just because you don't read about them in the news does not mean they are not on the job. They are on constant missions and just rotate personnel. each mission. I'm not sure why they would send a Seal team into an ocean front location? That to me would be unwise because of the wide open location. They said in the article that it was located right on the coast. Something about that is not right, just can't put my finger on it yet.......jmho
9. My first Bass boat was made by the Winner Boat company in Dickson Tennessee. They use to be one of the Rolls Royce of luxury boats. The one you have is on the web if you google Winner Boats they have an exact picture of your boat. I loved my fishing boat but our grew it and went bigger to a 20 foot bass boat from an 18 and went with Skeeter.
10. Reason I had it was a buddy of mine was in charge of advertising for Budweiser in St Louis fr 25 years before retiring and he sent that copy I have right after it was made and he pulled it. I had to promise not to share in for a couple years so I didn't let anyone else see it until about 2004. It has always been close to my heart as one of their best commercials. Just wanted to share it because I think most folks here are patriots and I have to agree whole hardheartedly  that I do love my country and hate what they are doing to it. I'm sure if we as Americans had the mentalities that those stone age people have in the Islamic countries we would have had an American Spring by now. We are a civilized race and not an uncivilized one. (yet)
11. I think most of ya'll know I am a very patriotic person and I love my country with all my soul and heart. This video was made and was going to be used in Super Bowl in 2002 but the people at Anheiser-Busch decided it would be seen in bad taste that soon after 9/11 as trying to profit from such a tragedy so they scrubbed it. I think it has been shown a few times over the years but not much. I think it was one of the best commercials ever made and I still fight back tears when I watch it sometimes. I thought I would share it with those of you that may not have seen it. It is short but gets the point across very well I think. Just click on picture if it does not start automatically
12. Well I thought about it after reading about all those things in that thread about stupid stuff folks have done and all the different ones that had electricity involved so I thought I would post this. I had a friend tazed by the police once while he was drunk and he said it has a very sobering effect really quick.
13. Sounds like he needed more range time before going hunting his foe. Glad no one got hurt or killed. I wonder if he would have been chasing the guy around Lowes with a sword or big knife if it would have made the headlines or been a 5 sentence paragraph on page 6.?????
14. Christmas in October maybe????? :ugh: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:
15. Most any of the Rough Rider series single action 6's will shoot the shorts and most single shot bolt action 22 long guns should shoot them.
16. Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt pocket/purse-sized Tazer. The effects of the Tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to saftey...?? WAY TOO COOL!!! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home...I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time, I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs. AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what the burn spot is on the face of her microwave. Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right? There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a secone) and then thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself againist a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong? So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Tazer in another. The directions said that: A one second burst would shock and disorient your assailant A two second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; and A three second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting batteries. All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference (loaded with two itsy, bitsy AAA batteries) pretty cute really, and thinking to myself, "no possible way"!! What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best. I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side so as to say, "Don't do it stupid", reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny lil ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad...I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and ..... HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. WHAT THE ....!!!! I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs! The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room. Note- If you ever feel compelled to "mug" yourself with a Tazer one note of caution: There is NO such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by violent thrashing about on the floor!! A three second burst would be considered conservative! A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. *The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was. *My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. *My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. *I had no control over the drooling. *Apparently I had crapped in my shorts, but was too numb to know for sure, and my sense of smell was gone. *I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head, which I believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my testicles and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return! My wife can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it! If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
17. I just spit coffee all over my keyboard.......................
18. How about "Washington Golf Caddy's"....... That is what our President spends most of his time doing or thinking about doing isn't it?
19. I think your right mse9. I think this time Obama and Reid has pushed the envelope a bit to far and like I said in another post it is just about to bite them both in the butt. They have been so focused on making the Republicans look bad that it is coming back on them to now...............jmho
20. I know for a fact that my Boys didn't get to learn real history in high school back in the 80's. I looked at one of their history books and there was no mention anywhere about slavery, the civil war and many other issues from that era in our country. The Black organizations got all of that removed as teaching racism and racist. Now I don't agree with slavery and never have. I don't think any man should be allowed to own another man body and soul. But I do believe that even though Yes is was a dark time in our country's history it is still a part of our country's heritage and needs to be taught to all children or all races in our schools...........jmho
21. Well, I have got one memory that come to mind that happened back in the mid 70's not to long after I got home from Service. Not much scared me back then. Syill your and dumb and , well you know the rest but anyway I was a part time fireman for subscription fire department there in Donelson/Hermitage area. There are two different events that I can remember both involved me and people that don't respect the sounds of sirens and emergency vehicles trying to get to a fire or accident. This is back when Lebanon Road was still two lane from Donelson to Hermitage. I was driving truck #2 which had a huge nose pump on it plus twin smaller pumps and hauling 800 gallons of water. It's about 8 Pm and a call comes in about a house fire so we are in route had all the lights on the truck lit which I think was about 20 plus both spot lights lit. Had twin Federal Q sires on front fenders that you could hear for at least 10 miles when they were wound up. We reached the two lane and this little old man in a 1971 Ford maverick was going 25 MPH and would not move over. I was on his back bumper and he would not move. I rocked out into left had lane on coming traffic twice but had to get back in because of on coming traffic. Finally I got enough of a break I could get the entire truck in left hand lane and on coming cars were moving to shoulder to give me room. This truck had big hook bumpers that extended out past the rear and I kept looking in mirror and guy in shotgun said your not gonna and about that time I swerved the truck just enough to hook the front wheel well of that maverick and I ripped the fender off the car and never took my foot off the gas, Just reached down and radioed that I hit a car  it's 20 and I was still in route so they sent the police and come to find out when we arrived at the house and began fighting the fire the old man in that maverick followed us all the way to the fire and was cussing me and threatening me and I look over at one of the Leos on the seen and he stuffed the old man in a squad car. We put the house out just losing the garage and saving the rest. I looked and Red , one of the other firemen was removing the fender from the rear bumper of the firetruck. In the end the old man got a ticket for fail to yield to emergency vehicles and following a  fire truck to a fire and reckless driving. I know it was a mean thing to do but back then I really didn't care........   About a month later same truck different situation. Intersection of Jacksonian Blvd and Lebanon Road. I have #2 stretched out all lights lit sirens screaming and I knew the light was gonna go red on me and I was hoping everyone would sit still on cross street." wrong"  big 1972 Buick 225 pulled out into intersection and I couldn't swerve much hauling the water but I was able to hit the land yacht in the rear quarter panel with that front pump and spun the car around in the intersection. Never took my foot out of it and went on to the fire. Just radioed that I hit a car and told them the 20 and a metro police car was sitting in a gas station and saw the whole thing so they were already on site in a few seconds. Four young men high on Pot were in the Buick and they all said they never saw or heard any fire truck and they didn't know what hit them....Needless to say they all went down town to the Graybar Motel. Lost 1 room of the house in the fire. Needless to say my batting averages were not to good with the traffic deals but I was batting 1000 on not losing any complete houses to fires. I worked for them part time until Metro took over in 1978 and Subscription and volunteer fired departments went the way of the dinosaur but I can say one thing I looked back over the years I worked there and we had a better response time and lost less homes to fire than all that fancy metro fire department equipment did in the same time period............ :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
22. Gosh, I have been reading for the last 3 hours and I have come to only on conclusion. Many of you are lucky to be here to tell these stories and most of ya'll definitely need to stay away from anything pertaining to electricity cause that seems to be the  main culprit in your lives that you have trouble conquering....... :ugh:   Also seems that tools have a sweet place in many of ya'll heart also. I suffered a stroke back in 1996 and my short term memory is terrible but my long term memory is fine. I might see if I can remember something from my past to add soon.
23. I think Obama and Reid thought they were going to have an easy blame it on the Republicans and it would just go away. Wrong decision I think. More and more people everyday are beginning to see through all of the charades of Reid and Obama and it is going to turn around and bite them hard before it is all over..........jmho   I was talking to a die hard devoted Democrat this morning that looked me right directly in the eye and told me he would be switching parties soon as he could to independent as right now he was disappointed in both of them and especially his party. He said that his father was a WWII vet and was at Normandy and what Obama did with the WWII war Memorial was the final straw with him.
24.   Malcom X spoke against the control once to often. your 100% correct and yea it got him killed.
