I prefaced the statement with "If" meaning in the hypthetical. I don't know; I wasn't there. If the races were reveresed and they'd said the "N-word" while kicking the kids butt then they would be charged with a hate crime regardless of the fact that the reason for the beating was for snitching. You know, the double standards for whitie and all.

1st, I read the article too before I saw the video. Apparently, you assume that reporters tell the whole story when they rarely do for various reasons. 2nd, without audio how did you "dig" into a story. Did you go down there and investigate?   I didn't "assume" anything; you did. Go back and read what I wrote.

Video doesn't have audio, so how do you know that it WASN'T motivated by race? If they are shouting racial slurs while beating the kid then it is racially motivated.

I laughed through most of that movie's boot camp scenes. I was the only one laughing in the theatre too. It came out not too long after I was discharged from The Corps, and I was laughing at the audience's reaction to some of the things being portrayed.

And Audie Murphy.

What I didn't like about it was that "we" were showed committing war atrocities whereas the Japanese were not. That pissed me off!

And personally I didn't care what the apartment complex thought either. If they caught me with a gun then they could throw me out.

Too bad the sister series about the Marine Corps in the Pacific absolutely sucked!

This is a fallacious argument, IMHO. If you could show that McCain voted with Obama on every issue then I would agree.

I don't dispute that at all. The point that I was alluding to is that the only viable 3rd party right now would be a centrist party, but it seems that most centrists are too disengaged in the process to form up something like that. That leaves reforming the left/right from the inside as others have suggested.

The fact remains that it is the centrist voters who tend to determine who's elected, and right now they are leaning towards the left because the right is dysfunctional and spend their time name-calling anyone who lines up with the centrists a RINO. Think about it.
