DIng, ding ding!   The only time that I would have reacted when I was a LEO would be if the subject has said words to the affect of announcing their intention to assault me, (example: I'm gonna kick your a$$!), or doubled up their fist and raised it. Personally, I wouldn't have said anything to them unless I had probable cause of a crime. Contempt of cop is NOT illegal.

Humm, a football player is in an accident where it's entirely possible that he had a concussion on top of past concussions. He knocks "viciously" on a door at 2:30 in the morning. Could it be that it he was concerned more about being able to be heard for emergency care than being unobtrusive? He "charged" at police. Could he have walked purposefully towards the officers at 2:30 in the morning on a burglary in progress call with a concussion and it was misinterpreted by a young officer?   This is so subjective it's incredible.

In some cases they can gather the information, right up a report, and then go to the prosecuting attorney to decide whether a crime was committed. If not then no problem; if so they can get an arrest warrant. An arrest doesn't have to happen immediately.

I saw that a few years ago, and it is bogus. It's not a 50 cal and they were shooting some kind of rodent.

I didn't care for the owner's statement basically saying that if you are a 30-year military veteran guns are ok, but everyone else is a no-no.   It is kind of like that idiot mom representing Mothers For Action, (I think that was the name), that was interviewed on FOX, (because she was organizing the boycott of Starbucks), when she said people think they can channel their inner Rambo and it won't cut it. She went on to say that only LEO's have enough training to carry arms.

I think when our enemies are fighting each other we should stay the $#%&^ out of it!

Many years ago I read that the medical profession was advising NOT to use snakebite kits because they tend to do more damage than good. Is that still the case?

I knew another officer who was involved in a shooting - guy came out and pointed an AK at the officers and got his medulla shot out for his troubles - and the reporter stated to the officer, (who isn't allowed to make statements to the press by SOP), to either tell her what happened or she'd just make it up. He didn't talk and she made it up. There is no such thing as integrity in reporting anymore.

No, YOU don't understand. Taxes, (that were "stolen" from us), and invested in the military is what made us strong to where no other country wants to directly engage with us. Or perhaps you don't recall our military using wooden rilfes and machine guns and trucks sporting signs that read "Tank" on them to train with before we entered WWII?   EDIT: Part of the reason so many soldiers died in the Phillipines, BTW.
