  1. That looked like the robber shot his partner when trying to shoot the store owner.   Can you image telling your buddies that you brought a gun to a bat fight and LOST!!?? LOL!
  2. Looks like a foreign country to me.   Also, not at all graphic, IMHO.
  3. That ain't no joke!!! :(
  4. I didn't take offense.   The 1911A1 that I acquired from my FIL had a history of the hammer following the slide because the guy who first had it post its WWII service competed with it, and had an incredibly light trigger pull since his trigger finger was severed at the first knuckle. The sear was replaced yet still did it. I replaced the metal injected sear with an Ed Brown sear, but it continued having the problem. I had installed an Ed Brown Beavertail Grip Safety and thought maybe it night be the problem. The last item that I replaced was the hammer with an Ed Brown hammer. Now all the innards are Ed Brown, so I hope this cures the problem - I just haven't checked yet.
  5. No, it wasn't pulled, and to be clear I didn't accuse him of shoddy work; Chad Kandros did. I haven't even shot the pistol since having the barrel fitted because I was also having it refinished by Chad. After Chad refinished it it was having a problem with the hammer following the slide. I have replaced all of the innards of the pistol, but haven't tested it yet.
  6. 300 lbs weight limit? I'm out! :(
  7. I ask because I had a bad experience with the gunsmith at Guns & Leather. I was told 6-8 weeks and got the weapon back after waiting16 weeks IIRC. I got several excuses about family and such, but I was finally told that he was waiting the delivery of a specific machine to be delivered so that he could fit my barrel to the slide. WTH? Besides the fact that this guy has a reputation for being an excellent 1911 smith that one would think already had the equipment for a simple fitting, shouldn't he have told me that up front?   I ended up taking the 1911 to Chad Kandros for some other work, and Chad said the first guy did a bad job at fitting the barrel.
  8. This was much more than HK's. Racks and racks of pistols, rifles, and shotguns. He was a member of the Team Shelby car forum for awhile until they pissed him off. He lives in the Oakland area. He offered to sell me one of the MP5's but I didn't have the cheese to do it. :(
  9. And who would this smith be?
  10. I saw a picture of a guy's gun VAULT in California that puts this guy's collection to shame. Yes, the collection was accumulated before they banned everything. He had multiple MP5's. :)
  11. I'm finding it harder and harder to believe even the FBI nowadays. Look at the guy in Tupelo that was arrested for the Ricin letters when they had absolutely no evidence?
  12. Huh? I was responding to, "The court does not remove your ability to speak, it does however punish you for doing so after the fact."   How does your response relate to that?
  13. By that logic you have the right to murder, you just get punished after the fact.
  14. Some say that since the courts have changed it then it's ok to change the rest of it. For instance, the Constitution says that you have freedom of speech without any constraints on that right. The courts have decided that you don't have freedom of speech in a court, (contempt of court), or when it infringes on the rights of another, (example: yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theatre when there is no fire), or lying to a LEO.
  15. Marine Corps was the same. The first week you had to go to some service. If afterwards you elected to not go you worked.
  16. Chaplains are neutral. That's why they have to study the rituals of all religions. If they do come out and stop a Christian from praying over a meal or mentioning the name of Jesus then they better be prepared for suits if they do not do something similar to the Muslims and Satanists.   The problem with America is some people think that freedom of religion means freedom from religion, and unfortunately the SC started that BS years ago.
  17. Nope, because federal HCP means honored in all 50 states, and we know some states would blow their capillaries over that.
  18. It'd never happen because carry permit holders are not federally standardized. I could see that happening if there was a federal HCP, but not otherwise.
  19. I saw nothing that stated that the military was letting atheists decide what contitutes sharing your faith. They met with the group and heard them out. Did you expect them to only listen to the Christian side? IMHO, there's nothing to get excited about until the military announces its position in the matter.
  20. Facts are facts. They can't use logic for their argument so they resort to the emotional argument.
  21. Why is that? As it was pretty much explained to me, when you join the miltary you are subject to their rules and only given the rights that they deem fit. As a Christian this is personally upsetting, but it is the miltary here.
  22. No, something so large and searched for by so many would have uncovered at least bones by now.
