1.
I have two honorable discharges, volunteered during Vietnam, and served my country as a Police Officer. If any of that matters. I can only speak for myself, but I was very well trained. Trained well enough to know that if I have a "gut feeling" something was wrong I acted on it. Disarming a person that you feel is a possible danger is for his safety also. It keeps you from having to kill him if he does something stupid, and it reduces his chances of shooting you while you are dealing with the ticket, accident, arrest, whatever. Bad people shoot cops on traffic stops and Police Officers will never (Hopefully) be required to wait until guns are pulled to act.
And what is, historically, the most dangerous thing a police officer does? When I was a cop it was the traffic stop, and there was no such thing as a routine traffic stop.
2. Of course, the liberals don't have constraints such as jobs.
3. I hope that when the date and time is set that it's not buried in this thread, and that a sticky announcement is made.
4.
You don't know how much I agree with your assessment. It may go that way with either person, but I would rather take my chances with someone is not trying to neuter the military and kill our health care system. I understand how you feel.
What I want to know is if you'll change you avatar if Oblamo loses? It creeps me out, dude!
5. http://news.msn.com/politics/new-york-mayor-bloomberg-endorses-obama-1 Curious, what makes MSN News think this guy's opinion is worthy of national reporting?
6. Don't call him sir; he works for a living!!
7. Saturday would be good for me as long as it's late morning or later. I think it's an outstanding idea, and it couldn't hurt to start a professional relationship with a lawyer BEFORE one is urgently needed.
8. Congratulations!!! That's huge! I wonder where I'd be if I had stayed in the Marine Corps. I would have just retired with 30 years last onth had I stayed in. I would have stayed in if I was single, but family kept me from doing that.
9. "Apprehensive" is a better adjective for me because I fear just how many blooming idiots will come out and vote for Obama regardless of his record for the past four years.
10. I'm afraid that the "My style is the best" thing is due to salesmanship. The instructor is running a business, after all, and needs to attract students.
11. The difference is our tax goes to very relevant causes; theirs is total BS. Even if half of the victims aren't covered by insurance $600,000 won't do much unless they all had superficial wounds.

13. Um, the Brits support Obama because he is more arrogant than Romney?
14. I'm all about their ultimate sacrifice not being forgotten, and sentinels are a small price to pay to remind us that their sacrifice was made. This country has a danged short memory as I discovered shortly after October 23, 1983 - which is why I carry tattoos concerning 9-11 to remind everyone that reads them.
15. I looked for it and didn't see it, sorry.

17. Glad to see we're back on topic.
18. Hold my beer and watch this!
19. I voted last Saturday in Lavergne, and was out in 10 minutes.
20. It was well reported back in the day that Clinton hated the military too.I look at the two like this: Clinton liked pu**y and Carter was a pu**y!
21. Knowing that this is in California I don't understand why anyone would be shocked at this. They do NOT have a Castle Doctrine. In fact, it's quite the opposite. In California the old man would be expected to flee from his home; not shoot the intruder. Man, I hated being stationed in that state in the 80's!
22. Curious, who did you go through for such insurance?
23. Patrick Stegall has opined a couple of times that no lawyer would take this kind of case unless the client paid 100% UP FRONT to waste their time.
24. I've known it was there for several years - since my HCP class. It protect you from a state civil suit. God forbid that they tie it to a Federal charge though.
