  1. Not in his day.
  2. Wash your coffee cup!
  3. I'd get with GT and commission a custom knife from him. If my wife were into knives, I'd ask her what she likes and relay it to GT to be incorporated. You know it's one of a kind, it's what she likes, and she'll appreciate the thought that went into the effort.
  4. I had the Holmium LASER Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) procedure a few years ago. For some time after the surgery I felt like I was pissing with a fire hose.
  5. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/measure-making-tennessee-a-second-amendment-sanctuary-passes-senate/ar-BB1g6y2f?li=BBnbfcL This is the first that I've heard of this, which is surprising considering the number of people on this forum that watch the local government concerning gun-related legislation.
  6. I used something similar but it's range sucked, (according to my Border Collies). I ended up getting one of those devices that looks like a clay pigeon thrower that increased the range immensely.
  7. When we first moved down here to Nashville they had a great Cicada invasion. There were Asians scooping them up to take home and cook.
  8. I seem to recall just last week that they refused to hear a very pertinent case - although I don't remember exactly what the issue was. EDIT: Come to think of it and using my Google-foo, it was about non-violent federal offenders having a lifetime ban of possessing firearms. One example was someone being charged with federal copyright infringement and another for lying on tax returns. A third was for a DUI that must have been on federal property.
  9. It seems typical of the SC to rule on a narrow aspect of a case leaving big problems unresolved, then deny hearing any other cases for another decade or so because they already heard a 2A case.
  10. I don't expect the new appliances to last 20 years, but less than 4 years? Hell no! They should at least last 10.
  11. I posted 3 reviews of my appliances on GE's website yesterday afternoon. This morning I got emails asking me if I'd like them to "look into it." WTF????
  12. Yeah, the whole "Look at me!" generation is pretty sorry.
  13. I've owned several Whirlpools and never had any problems out of them.
  14. Kroger sells packaged flour shells that you cook yourself that are pretty tasty.
  15. I've got to vent! We bought our new house a little less than 4 years ago, (June 2017), and when we did buy it we had all of our kitchen appliances installed which were GE. The wife wanted GE because they offer the slate gray finish that would match our color pallet. I've never had GE appliances before, and I'll never have them again. Why? Within a two week period the fan in the refrigerator stopped working, the two ring burner stopped working in the stove, and the dishwasher stopped working. Apparently, the "upper board stopped communicating with the lower board." All repairs are totaling $750 because GE only has a 1yr warranty. Can you imagine what you'd think if you bought 3 cars from the same manufacturer at the same time and all three broke within 2 weeks of each other? Right now we're figuring on the microwave dying next. GE SUCKS!!!
  16. A lot of fussing on here about fast food, but a lot of the places went downhill when they were bought out by large corporations. For instance, I used to love Taco Bell's food in the 70's, but when they were bought out by Pepsico in 1978 their quality of foot started going downhill and never came back. The same thing happened with KFC.
  17. Gotta give them props for saying some of that to a white interviewer. But radical blacks are nothing new. When I was a LEO in the 90's I listened to a group called Nighthawks who were broadcasting out of KSU, and they were calling for civil war by 1995, and called for killing all cops. My chief of police told me to listen so that I'd know our enemy. No, it wasn't black people; it was radical black people. I'd also say that it's easy to talk the talk, but it's far more difficult when it comes home to roost at your own home.
  18. What did we ever do before cooks had gloves? I was a cook in a pizza shop when I was 17 and a Howard Johnson's at 21. My hands were clean. But before I was a cook I did witness a part-time cook, (who was a full-time firefighter), drop some corned beef onto his open toed sandals and floor. He then picked it up and put it on a customer's Reuben and served it.
  19. Was. I corrected the post. My brain works faster than my big fingers.
  20. From a former LEO's perspective, the shoot was technically warranted. But one must look at the circumstances: people experiencing fight or flight experience tunnel-vision and focus their hearing on the threat. It is probable that the girl didn't see or hear the cop. Regardless of your age, you don't settle and argument with a knife because bad things are bound to happen to you.
  21. You'd think health inspectors would be monitoring them. When I was 19 I worked as the night manager for a convenience store in Kansas City called Quik Trip. They had ice cream/milk machine, I I had to drain it and clean it with bleach every night. The health inspectors made frequent visits to the stores during the daytime to take cultures of the machines. You didn't want to fail those inspections.
  22. Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries suck!
  23. LJS used to be very good. That was until their food became very oily for whatever reason. Last couple of times I was there oil dripped out of the fish fillets, so I stopped going. I have never like Krystals or White Castle. They're just nasty - unless you are drunk according to some posts that I've seen. Arby's now offers Crinkle fries that are very good. I like Burger King's chicken biscuits and burger with specific toppings, but nothing else they offer. Again, I only go to these fast food places when I want the food fast. I don't expect anything more than it be edible and make a turd.
  24. As a former LEO and martial artist who has used neck restraints countless times, I agree with the verdict. Once the suspect is cuffed and prone you release the restraint - period. With Chauvin's experience, he knows this. I watched the video screaming at Chauvin to get off his neck. He's getting what he deserves, IMHO. I don't think that the officers behind him are responsible, but the one who could see Floyd's face and clearly hear his pleas should be charged as he was indifferent to the situation.
  25. I eat at McChoke-N-Puke when I want something fast that'll make a turd. I don't expect any fast food chain to be all that great, but I still like their double cheeseburger, Big Mac, and chicken nuggets.
