  1. @Capbyrd Another advantage of the bidet is when you are constipated. Open up the Hershey Highway and squirt a little cool water up there and it'll help ya go!
  2. And I'm sure that the people around you appreciate the lack of a raunchy rump!
  3. Cool water on hemorrhoids feels a lot better than dragging toilet paper across them.
  4. What Chuckshoes said.
  5. Keeping in mind that I was NOT a LEO in Tennessee, I would hate to be the idiot having to explain to my judge why I preferred to let an badly injured animal writhe in pain in the road and arrested the guy doing the right thing in a safe manner. The story would be different if you were not safe and injured someone or damaged something.
  6. I say a show about the 24-hours after the attack. The original line in the speech was, "A date that will live in world history." Not quite the zing to it.
  7. Thanks for that, Erik.
  8. Damn! This sucks!
  9. This is why I installed bidets in all of our toilets.
  10. It get that, but it just irks me that other people, or government, think that it's their place to even comment on such a personal decision let alone set conditions on it.
  11. That's still too much BS to have to go through.
  12. Truth, a plane like that will always be needed when there is no requirement for stealth. A B-2's loadout of 40,000 lbs. can't compete with the B-52's 70,000 lbs.
  13. Here's another quick Google search for you: https://www.healio.com/news/primary-care/20201118/study-covid19-risk-slightly-lower-for-mask-wearers Notable remarks: "Those asked to wear a mask were given 50 high-quality surgical face masks with a 98% filtration rate." How many people do you see wearing those around town? "They determined that the difference between the groups was -0.03 percentage points (OR = 0.82; 95% CI, 0.54-1.23), with the findings in favor of those who wore masks." Wow! That sure is effective! NOT! So even high-grade surgical masks do not show much of a difference from those who wear no mask at all. Why? Because most diseases are transmitted via vectors; not breathing it in. "Bundgaard said that previous observational studies have shown that masking is effective, but the studies are challenging to interpret due to the limitations of observational data." Where masks are useful is to decrease the amount of virus spread about by INFECTED people. Notice that I said decrease and not elimination. It is not eliminated because the masks leak.

  15. Yes, the Catholics believe that, but they also don't believe in grace by faith. They believe in works over faith contrary to what the Bible says. You can't work your way into Heaven. Personally, I place no faith in man. Nowhere does God tell you in the Bible to hire some guy or gal to tell you what to believe. In fact, it's quite the opposite in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." In modern language and context: Study the Bible to show yourself approved by God, a worker that should not be ashamed of his work, correctly dividing the Bible. The last means that the Bible was written to three people groups: the Jews, the gentiles [people who have not come to Christ] and the saints [people who have come to Christ]. You do not apply doctrine for the Jews to the saints, or the gentiles to the saints. That's where most people fail.
  16. Personally, I feel that the choice to end your life cannot be more personal, and it's nobody's damned business if you make the choice to do so - particularly the government's. Some will say it's the family's business, but if you're selfish enough not to consider them then their opinion doesn't matter to you anyway.
  17. I was responding to Garufa's comment about finding a doctor that will do it. To your point, pain is not only subjective, it is a given for a terminal cancer patient. Cancer metastasizes to the bone and brain. You may not have pain now, but you will.
  18. I've read the Bible numerous times, and nowhere does it say that. Can't talk about Muslims, Mormons, etc. It does say that it is "appointed once unto man to die" so you can't die before your time, and no matter what, you can't surprise God.
  19. Hospice does it all the time. When my dad had terminal cancer they put him on liquid morphine and tacitly told him how to end his life when he wanted to. My sister questioned them about it, and they told her they do it all the time because it's a common request.
  20. Yes, in medical science it's call a "vector." Most diseases are transmitted by contaminating a surface with the virus, someone else touching that surface, and then they either rub their eyes or pick their nose which causes the virus to penetrate the mucosa to enter the body. I place more of an emphasis on sanitizing my hands as I leave a public building or entering my car over a mask. I DO wear a mask out of respect for the businesses that require it. Early reports of virus spread directly through the air were questionable because they did NOT know the incubation period of the virus. In other words, you may think that you are quarantined on a ship, but that doesn't mean that you didn't already have it, and it's just been cooking away in your DNA until ready to break-out. To put it bluntly, this virus caught the medical profession off guard, and they were scrambling to crap answers for the public. Unfortunately, it became politicized in the process to induce panic. I speculate that after pervert Joe takes office it'll suddenly not be such a big deal, and he'll push the vaccine as if were his accomplishment.
  21. Me neither.
  22. My wife does the same thing. She works on a computer all day long, but if a problem comes up that isn't related to Excel or the business apps that she uses, she can't do anything and yells for me. Just yesterday she was having problems getting on the Wi-Fi and I told her to turn it off then back on. She looked at me like I had told her to rebuild the engine in the car.
  23. They still leak - hence your glasses fogging up when you are wearing one. That's like a smokestack on a train as you walk down the aisle of a store.
