  1. I certainly won't join NRA just to be able to shoot on their range.
  2. Rest in peace Marine Captain Jeff Kuss. Semper Fi my brother.
  3. In 1983 while in the Marine Corps, I had an A-6 Intruder blow up a couple hundred feet over my head to the front. This strikes home to me in two ways considering I live off the runway. I'm gonna lift a drink to the pilot, and then have a couple more afterwards.
  4. And a Thunderbird went down in Colorado! The Thunderbird pilot ejected safely. Damn!
  5. A smart manufacturer would credit the shops for their inventory on future purchases anticipating the volume it would drive.
  6. Any silencer manufacturer who would oppose this is being extremely short-sighted. Sure, margin would come down: however, volume would increase greatly.
  7. I love living where I do when the show's in town - which is inline with the runway. I've already had 2 x F-22 Raptors and the Blue Angels flying over my house. Also had a flight of prop planes fly over, but I couldn't tell what they were. They were probably trainers. I expect the Blue Angels will be practicing this afternoon some. I know they will be tomorrow, but unfortunately I have to go into the office tomorrow. It's the first time that I've seen the F-22's. They sure look badass!
  8. Now they are saying murder-suicide. 2 dead.
  9. At UCLA no-guns zone.
  10. When I was a LEO I had a LEO friend who shot and killed a suspect. The "Reporter" said to him that if he didn't tell her what happened she'd just make it up. What was reported was an outright lie.
  11. " Was the room cold when you took the pic?" " Also, stop objectifying me! I'm more than just eye candy dammit!" Damn! I'm glad I wasn't drinking any coffee when I read these!
  12. But the press lying to people does effect others exactly infringing on their rights, and they hide behind the 1st while doing it. And to your point of believing what they see/hear, how else are they supposed to form an opinion? No one on this earth can be everywhere at once to witness everything that happens. That's why integrity in journalism is so important to be given the protection in the first place. That freedom was given to them because the English Monarchy did not allow them to print things against them; not so that they can make-up whatever bull they felt like printing.
  13. I don't think you understand. Freedom of the press is protected under the 1st as is freedom of speech, yet lying is NOT protected speech, apparently. You can't, for instance, yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater. Saying that you can have freedom of speech with limits is not freedom. I don't think that lying to a LEO should be allowed to stand at all because it infringes on someone's freedom, but it is allowed to stand. Now since the 1st covers Freedom of the Press as well then it should NOT protect lying as well. How can one say the 1st covers both press and speech yet only apply a restriction to one?
  14. Consider this: if lying is not protected free speech, (lying to LEO, for example), then lying to the public shouldn't be either. Slippery slope works both ways.
  15. I know that I couldn't care less what he says, nor have I heard of him before: however, I do not seek out "trainers" like this.
  16. Has TGO been around for a decade?
  17. Yes, had the South invested in manufacturing BEFORE the war the outcome would have been much different. Of course, had Lee made some different decisions at Gettysberg things would have been different too.
  18. Love their Czech Pilsner and Hefeweizen!
  19. A general's views would be influenced by the technology of the 1860's, so applying what they said back then without the option of the 20th century would not be accurate. Considering the overhead of the ML, (weight and bulk of the ammo along with smoke), they'd have gone with the M4. 50-ish caliber bullets weigh a lot more than 5.56 bullets, and they are certainly bulkier. Heck, that's why they went with 5.56 over the 7.62 in the 60's, no?
  20. The stereotype is that vegans are malnourished and therefore not as capable of physical performance as an omnivore. It's because of that stereotype that motivated them to climb the 7 mountains. They were trying to prove a point that got them dead.
  21. "Dave" needs to get you on their website for local dealers. He shows two in Nashville: Nashville Gun & Knife and Nashville Sporting Arms.
  22. Damn...no tall sizes!!??
  23. I'm not impressed. According to the article it was done after being called out for it online.
  24. It's a nice looking rifle.
