And yet again, too far away. If only you were closer.

Most machines are designed so that the cab/driver section can tilt up. You usually have to take out two bolts to do this. This will allow access inside the chassis and behind the engine. This area rarely, if ever, gets cleaned and is usually packed with dirt and mud. Hose it out really good. Check everything you can get to. Hoses, belts, drive gear, chains, etc. Replace anything with any wear at all. Check all hydraulic cylinders for leaks and make sure they hold where ever they stop at without leaking down. Most hydraulic repairs are pretty straight forward. Leaks, blown hoses, bad cylinders etc. However, be aware that getting to the bad part, especially the routing of hoses through the chassis can be a major witch! Especially when its already blown and there's oil sprayed all over everything.

CNN Sunday night March 3rd, "The Whole Story"

Pretty much what I expected. A total hit piece. Because Tennessee has a Republican Super Majority we are a bunch of racist and evil people who pose a major threat to democracy. What a crock! -
The new Rangers won't be available until August.

I set it to record. Not sure exactly when I'll get around to watching it. Frankly, I expect it to be just another liberal MSM hit piece. -

One thing most people don't understand is that the 9422 was Winchester's Top Of The Line .22 Rifle. The absolute best they could build. Forged steel and precision fit. As accurate and as beautiful as they could make. That's why used ones regularly sell for $1200-1500+. This new Ranger does seem to have some things in common with the 9422, however it uses a machined billet aluminum receiver and all steel internals. Thus holding the price down. I really don't know any details. I do know it has the Winchester styling which I have always preferred as it simply fits me better than other style lever guns. I haven't been this excited about a new gun in years.

Absolutely in favor of this. However, I'd also like to see exactly what the course includes. -

Stashing Loaded Handguns/Long Guns
Grayfox54 replied to pop pop's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Take this as absolute Gospel. You CAN NOT hide anything from a kid! They will find it! I do have a couple of guns stashed in convenient locations around my house. But on the rare occasion when a kid may come visiting, I lock up everything. If/when I ever get grandkids, all my guns will be locked up when they visit. -
I stumbled across this video completely by accident. I'M STOKED! I have owned a 9422XTR for many years. It's my absolute favorite .22 Rifle. I've always lusted after the 16" Trapper version. But those are super scarce and super expensive. I just know Winchester will offer this new Ranger in a Trapper version soon. I WILL BUY ONE! Meanwhile this new rifle looks great. I may get one of these too.

Super Tuesday is almost upon us. As well as other Primaries all around the nation. I strongly urge everyone to vote in the primaries. Let's be honest here. Come November the vast majority of voters are gonna go into the polling booth and simply vote straight R or D depending on their beliefs. They won't even care who the candidates are. If you want real changes, you have to do it in the primaries which determine who will be on that November ballot. Sick and tired of those worthless Congress critters that have been in Washington 20,30 even 40 years? This is where you get rid of them. Same thing in State and local government. We need fresh blood and new ideas folks. This is where you get them. VOTE and make your voices heard!

Interesting article I found on another forum. Four reform candidates for NRA Board. Interesting tactic too. https://www.ammoland.com/2024/02/nra-board-elections-support-the-four-for-reform-candidates/#axzz8SOTPqzMG -
Its here! I actually picked it up last Wednesday, but I just got around to taking pics and posting today. 1943 Colt frame with an Ithaca slide. This one is a bit nicer than the one I got in round 1. I'm happy with it.

Wayne LaPierre Liable in 4.3M Big Spender Lawsuit
Grayfox54 replied to gun sane's topic in General Chat
There have always been the blind loyalist that believe the NRA can do no wrong. They're part of the problem and the reason WLP was able to do the things he did and do it for so long. The antis are celebrating and thinking they won. Actually we won because they succeeded in doing what much of the membership has been trying to do for years. Wayne is gone and the NRA is all the better for it. Now to see what the new leadership is gonna do. Get back in the fight or continue the old ways. -

He'll pay the fine out of petty cash. There's no telling how much he actually got away with. -
Don't forget these. Standard equipment in every first aid kit in the 60s & 70s.

Rare indeed. That's the unicorn of the Sig world. I've never seen one except in pictures. You are a very lucky man.

As near as I can tell, these will be sold through regular FFLs and not CMP. So its just a copy of the issue 1911A1. Ok, lots of companies make a basic 1911 copy. What's the big deal? It even marked “United States Property M1911A1 U.S. Army”. That makes me wonder if some nefarious people will buy these, do some minor reworking and try to pass them off as originals. Frankly, I think its a lot of hoopla over nothing. I won't be buying one.

Years ago I heard rumors of receivers cracking on their M-14 clones. But I think they fixed that.

I use Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer. Readily available at most auto parts stores. Helpful tip: label your fuel cans with the date they were filled. Use to oldest first.
