I'm thinking this guy got into his boat, went down river to some secluded spot and offed himself. It could be quite some time before he's found, if they find him at all. Meanwhile, let's all stay scared and in panic mode just like MSM wants. -

Now they're saying that what triggered him was that his girlfriend recently dumped him. Wow! A woman doesn't wanna be with a crazy guy. Imagine that! -

I just saw where the Coast Guard has joined the search. The shooter does have a boat registered in his name. -

They haven't found him by now, my guess is that all they'll find is his body. Dead by his own hand. There was one report that said his car was found at a boat dock. They may not even find his body. -

Works as part of the selling experience too. Seriously, if you should happen to get into my end of the state, we should talk. -

If you want a 9mm, get the best. A Hi-Power or one of its many clones.

Richard Roundtree, star of the original 'Shaft,' dies at 81!

I keep seeing where all the famous actors of my youth keep dying off. Damn I feel old. -
I held a CDL for close to 40 years. Those have to be renewed in person. So I'm used to the hours and hours wait thing. That's why this sounded so good to me. I let my CDL slide after I retired. Just an ordinary driver now. And since I have the little star now, next time I can renew on line. The whole Real ID thing is BS anyway. Just another hoop we citizens have to jump through.
-
That is the new Real ID driver's license. We're all gonna have to do it sooner or later. My Drivers license doesn't actually expire until 2027. I was gonna wait until then and I was really dreading it too. But you've got to have one by 2025 or you can'y fly anywhere. Not that I plan on flying anywhere anyway. But as I said, we're all gonna have to do it eventually. But an opportunity came my way that I just couldn't pass up. It seems that the State and my city made some kind of deal where the Dept of Safety came to us to issue the new licenses to any city employees who want it. The bonus was that they set up in the Municipal Center that's only 5 minutes from my house. Me, being a retired city employee, qualified for it. They're only gonna be here for two days and It was by appointment only. So I made one for today. Happy to report that I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Sure beats sitting in the renewal office for half a day or more.

for-sale 1980 S&W 25-2 45acp Conversion-$1500
Grayfox54 replied to DJTC45's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Its not a Jovino or a Behlert. Both of those cut the barrel a bit shorter and had to eliminate the front locking bolt on the Ejector Rod. Opting for a detent ball in the crane instead. However during the 80's this was a popular configuration and many smaller gunsmiths did their own versions. This one looks like a good job. I'm thinking that mark that looks to be a "Y" inside a triangle may well be a maker's mark. But I have no idea who's. Anyway, its a nice gun. GLWS. -
I call people like that alligators. All mouth and no ears.

We have an interesting month this year. Today is Friday the 13th. Tomorrow, the 14th, has a solar eclipse. The 28th has a lunar eclipse and of course we have Halloween which is also a full moon. Ya think fate is trying to tell us something?

Explosion at Hornady Plant-Grand Island.
Grayfox54 replied to AuEagle's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I wouldn't worry about it. Those powder plants have a ton of the latest fire suppression systems available. I doubt they'll be down for more than a day or two. Some years back there was a fire at a Hercules powder plant. The fire was out in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a warehouse full of spray cans went to 5 Alarms and burned for 3 days. -
