National air and space museum. Always a great venue for learning.

This. With family buried there it is always a stop when we get in the area. Very humbling and yet always seems to give me hope and strength.

It seems that the folks protesting doth protest too much. I smell bovine excrement. When they are willing to sit down and discuss the specific cases calmly without playing the race card then we can have a dialog. As for telling you how you feel about all of this, well again I smell that same substance. You do not seen like a person that needs someone to tell you how you feel about all of this. So nice distraction try again though. That technique is older than any of the folks on this board. Don't discuss the issues and blame someone for something else instead of discussing the real issue. Seems like exactly what most people are saying about the kneelers. Now you would never use their same protest technique would you? You who put on aires of superiority. At least in my opinion that is how most of your posts seem. Arrogant and dismissive of anyone else's opinions. Kind of what most of is have been mentioning all along. Demanding people see your view while dismissing theirs. Using the distraction and misdirection on each discussion of issues. Again, that is always just my opinion so ymmv

Yeah statistics are funny that way. They can be meant to show anything. In the end it comes down to not having contact with cops and no one can argue that will lessen your chance of getting shot by one. Pretty simple axiom for it that is still true to this day, play stupid games and you will win stupid prizes. And yes we all know that there are some legitimate cases that are bad cops. Fire them charge them and do away with the unions as a first step. Both sides deserve the same after all fair and equal treatment. Anything less is unacceptable.

He will be missed. End of the line! Travel well sir!

All of this is speculation and as he is dead likely to remain that way as he sure cannot tell us. The only fact we know for sure at this point is there are a lot of people dead or injured and that the left is going to use this crisis yet again to further their goal on gun control. Too bad that some just do not get the truth about the human vs the chosen tool when things like this happen.

Her Twitter feed has some pretty interesting comments. Her days off having any relevance are over as is true for most liberals. People have had enough of that. Hopefully folks wait until facts are known before starting the cry for more controls on is law abiding people. Oops, too late, they already are.

I was thinkiing the exact same thing! Marine corps days were a long time ago but I told my wife as soon as I heard it that it sounded like a M60. No matter the weapon the shooter got it backwards again. It should be, shoot yourself first, and if capable afterwards to shoot more, shoot yourself again. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Yes it is. By all means start the dialog but be clear it is a dialog and a conversation. We are not going to just sit and listen to rants about racism from either side though as we have seen where that goes. Discuss facts and solutions yes, but not the distraction points that some want to try. It is time for a dialog and that dialog has to be productive. Productive means we have to get level heads to discuss the facts and the best solutions for identified problems.

The problem is not the protest or even so much how they are protesting. It is about the fact that different parties are seeing things in different ways. Some are protesting what they call the improper treatment of a segment of society. Others are seeing it as thugs protesting they got caught basically. So the bigger discussion should not be so much about race rather about how to act and behave in a polite society. How to obey the laws and be responsible for one's self. A lot of people have gotten tired of having that discussion and being called racist when they start to have it. The race card is nothing more than a distraction used by one side to validate how some behave. If you try and start any conversation around the issues that is there first and only topic. Really, well let's discuss the individual instances that they are protesting. Break each down and go from there. I am willing to bet most folks regardless of color can agree on facts if looked at in a non passionate manner and objectively. I would really like to think most Americans can do that. Problem is that on both sides there are some that just want to have hate and discontent. Some based on race, some on their economic standing in society, some on gender, some on their chosen lifestyles. Everyone seems to get offended by everything these days and the big part of society that is now saying tough! That just does not cut it anymore, we are going to act and communicate as adults not spoiled feelings hurt 4 year olds is really pushing things into the light. It is going to have to get worse before it gets better as both sides will have to open their eyes and minds and shut their mouths long enough to see things from all perspectives. To date most have proven themselves incapable of that.

Very true. And a major part of the problem.
-
Now we get to hear all the guessing going on. Seems every network has an "expert" on to describe the guns and ammo. Wow have they been way off. As usual. I wish they would wait for facts before spouting garbage. Thoughts and prayers with the people and their families that were there. This is just hard to process. Could go a lot of directions depending on the information the police come up with.

Been watching this on news since I got up. WTF? Words escaped me.

Most sports contracts have a clause to cover this. If not then the owners have other remedies. The bench comes to mind. No field time hurts their ego as well as their bonuses and stats which means they are worth less to any new prospective owner. Ask CK how that is working out for him.

Lack of self awareness because I think differently? That is something I see from the "Other" side normally. The college kids from the last decade or so and current ones that really do believe theirs is the only view that should be allowed. Now the fact that anyone thinks that way is what is stupefying to most. Obviously you go with that crowd by your postings here. As such I understand that a discussion on views is not possible so best I just bow out. I tend to have some rather old school ideals and morals so the less I interact with those that blame all of their issues on being over policed or on the "Man" the better. You see the is really rather simple to most folks. Don't get into stupid situations where interaction with police is involved and there is little chance of there being an issue. I also firmly believe that any authority figure that abuses their position should be dealt with quickly and harshly. However the unions (pushed by one side of the aisle for the most part) protect the bad ones and that leads to more problems. So it is my humble opinion that people now are finally tired of the past actions of the left and are starting to speak up. The left is not used to that and are perhaps a little over sensitive. Most of us now feel, well, touch cookies. Time to grow the hell up and figure out their are no unicorns, and the free stuff time is over. Closing in on 20 trillion in national debt is really scary. This is the time where most parents crack down and say no more to the spoiled brats. Difference is the spoiled brats have no parents anymore, nor anyone to really mentor them. So thus they are offended by everything. Really seems like a bunch of spoiled toddlers.

"Reform is needed" is an subjective opinion is it not? Some agree it is needed yet others do not. It is certainly not a "Fact". No problem as that is not really the topic. The topic is how and when the protests are done. Trying to deflect out any other way is a not so clever subterfuge of misdirection. Typical of folks when something does not go the way they wished it did not get what they want. All the BS aside they are free to do as they wish as long as they are willing to accept any consequences. I served so they could have that right. What people have to get through their apparently think should is that everyone has equal rights. Not mine are better because I am protesting for a perceived wrong done to a group of people. Want me to respect your rights and views? Then you have to respect mine. Pretty darn simple really. Problem is that one group has put up with another group acting like theirs is the only view for to Long. They are not going to play that silly game anymore and that it's unthinkable in previous times. Now they have to adapt and have neither the skills or maturity to do so. Well growing up is tough. Hope they figure it out soon so it causes then less distress.

Did I miss where you "Adjusted" his post?
-
So you are the appointed adjuster of speech of others? Appointed by whom? And if it is subjective why would you adjust anything? Perception might have a little to do with that so your "Adjustment" is also subjective. "Adjusting" anyone's speech without marking it as such is a slippery slope there sir. It may have been marked and I am unable to see it on my computer and if that is the case then my apologies. If not, well, then I think you owe someone an apology and an edit to make it clear what you "Adjusted".

They are so disillusioned and ignorant that they think hrc will be president if Trupm/Pence were to be gone. I really think they believe that. Seems like a lot of folks wasted 8 years in college for that degree in musical basket weaving.

Oops, you are correct in that he is the Senator. I was thinking of one of the house morons. This one I can work on! I need more coffee aparently.
-
Can I get a big "Amen"? And is anyone looking for a good canidate to run in his pace? Not my district so I am afraid I can't help much there. Need new blood not just another career criminal to take his place and continue the same old same old.

In my opinion anyone that finds shooting up a place is OK or justified due to their cause is "mental". No way killing innocent people could be considered "Normal". No justification for it in my mind makes it right.
-
I have given flags when they did not have one to replace a ratty flag. I have spoken to many people about the ratty flag flying being a dishonor. I know lots of family and friends that have done the same. Free speech and protest are great. Have at it. Just choose the proper place and time. During the anthem is not it in my opinion. So you have the right to protest where and when you want but I do not have the right to object? How does that work? Seems like the usual liberal B's to me that refuse any view point other than their own.

Somes tactless and boorish approach is others non-PC reality! Folks have had enough. Learn that now or pay for your ignorance later people! They protest too much that it is offensive. BS, as it is nothing more than a distraction from how bad it has truly gotten.
