1. I've seen a couple of articles online today stating that he was killed in a car wreck last night.  So far, I have not been able to verify it on a actual news station website...all blogs.  Any info?
2. I've had several hundred hours of training, from basic to advanced, not including shooting matches.  I have a list at home of all the classes I've taken, but I lost track several years ago of the actual hours.
3. http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20121205/US.Gas.Station.Shooting/ ATLANTA — A chance encounter at a Georgia gas station left a 65-year-old woman dead and a 73-year-old man facing a murder charge after authorities say the woman's car and his motorized wheelchair bumped and he opened fire, police said Wednesday. etc...
4.
I know that this has been ask b-4 , but I have wanted to get a suppressor for a very long time. If I had started the paper work then I know that I would have it by now. My question is what is the best suppressor for a auto 22 and can I use it on a 556 What is the avg wait time to get your stamp back I would like to get off as cheep as I can ,but I don't want to but junk and have to wait that long again I read that the stamp is $200 but what is the tranfer fee Thanks
The transfer (assuming you mean how much a dealer charges) fee depends on where you buy the gun. There is one dealer near me that makes you buy the item directly from the manufacturer then he, the dealer, charges a $100 transfer fee. There is a different dealer that charges no transfer fee if you buy the item from him, or a $100 transfer fee if you buy the item elsewhere and have it transferred to him. There is another dealer who charges less (but I don't know exactly how much) but he is difficult to get to give you your stuff once it gets there.
5. MSSA in Lakeland as someone has already mentioned, there is also Desoto Rifle and Pistol Club south of Memphis in Como, MS
6. This, but be very, very specific. If you ask, "Does this policy cover me if I shoot someone" is not specific enough. As someone else already stated, many policies cover negligence and accidents, but not intentional acts.
7. This. The actual State of TN requirement is that 70 percent of all the holes have to be in the black and touching the silhouette, no matter how little, counts as in the black. The target is a B-52 is pretty large. Someone has already mentioned this, but some instructors grade using the scoring rings, but that isn't specifically required by the State. Unrelated to the OP: The sad part is, occassionally, someone (while I was still doing classes) would fail the shooting portion. The ironic, yet funny to me part is, it was almost always the guy with the biggest attitude because he already knew everything. In the last class I taught, I heard a guy tell his wife, and I quote, "Don't pay any attention to their BS about how to shoot. I've been shooting all my life and that ain't how I do it, and I know what I'm doing." ...and yep, you guessed it, he wouldn't listen to anything we told him, and he scored a 62 or 64. His wilfe listened to what we told her, and she scored a 100. Of course, being the good instructor, I had to point it out to him.
8. I second this. I have one of these and I really like it, as far as shoulder holsters go. I don't wear it much, but I know when I do, I look just like Don Johnson.
9. I carry a Sig 229 or 226, a flashlight, and an extra magazine basically all the time. I wear a light vest most of the time. I also have an IWB that I wear when I don't want to wear a vest, which is very seldom.
10. The UPIN is a great idea, IF it fixes your problem. If the problem is that there is something actually on your record, it won't fix that problem. UPIN is for when they are getting your record confused with some other person's record due to similar names or similar address or something along those lines.
11. The state of TN will sometimes deny if there is anything at all on your record, regardless of the disposition of it. What basically happens is they see something is there, so they deny it, and if you appeal, they check into it and overturn it, and if you don't appeal, they don't have to mess with it. A UPIN may or may not help; it just depends on what the issue is.
12. Addtionally, I'm pretty sure it's posted anyway. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but it was posted the last time I was there.
13. My only tale about the classifer is, when I first started IPDA, I was going to go in to my first major match as a sharpshooter, but a few days before the match, I classified as Expert. A few months later, I was going to the nationals as an Expert, but a few days before the match, I classified as Master.
14. Many people also only carry when they think they are going somewhere they might need it. When I was an instructor, I had that conversation all the time. In fact, I heard a lady just two days ago say that she didn't understand why you would ever carry a gun when you were "just going to Kroger to buy bananas." I personally wasn't talking to her, but I heard the conversation. The guy talking to her said that where you were going and what you were buying had nothing to do with whether you might need a gun and she said again, "I just don't understand what a gun has do with going shopping." ETA: Interesting that the database apparently shows an "issue date" of the most recent renewal. Apparently, I've only had my permit for about 2 years.
15. looked for this, didn't find it. Please delete or move if necessary. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/25/enrique-chavezs-lawsuit-glock_n_1701930.html LOS ANGELES -- A California appeals court has reinstated a now-retired paralyzed Los Angeles police officer's product liability lawsuit against gun manufacturer Glock. Enrique Chavez was paralyzed from the waist down when his 3-year-old son accidentally shot him with his service pistol. etc...
16. Very basically, the gun can't be loaded and it can't be accessible. In the trunk is probably your best bet. However, for reference, here is what federal law says (and TN abides by fed law on this): § 926A, see also Article VI, U.S. Constitution, Supremacy Clause During the transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammo being transported is readily or directly accessible from the passenger compartment, or b. In the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver’s compartment the firearm and ammo shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console. § 926A, see also Article VI, U.S. Constitution, Supremacy Clause
17. Sorry, that's actually what I meant, by the drink.
18. Sort of off topic, but isn't it true that establishments that sell alcohol in TN must also sell some sort of food, or am I remembering incorrectly?
19. The original post wasn't difficult to grasp. MY question was, you see a woman being stabbed, so you know for a fact, or you should just assume, that the ONLY possibility that exists is that she is being stabbed by an attacker who is attacking her unprovoked for no reason, therefore the guy MUST be the bad guy, because no other possibility exists. That seemed to be the implication, based on what I what I took from the statement I was replying to.
20. Ok, leaving whether or not I would get involved aside, why should we assume that's immediately obvious? Should we just always assume that whatever appears obvious to us is what must be right? And I'm not trying to start any controversy or an agrument. I'm simply curious if you feel that's just simply what we should assume.
21. There is a video on Silencerco's Facebook page talking about the CLEO requirement and some other stuff. Where THEY got the info, I don't know.
22. Will it be a tax on real guns, or just Glocks?
23. Not on this particular article. He says it's his 5 personal favorites.
24. Well, in all fairness, the article does say that the guns listed are what he prefers. I mean, Glock....in 9mm? Who the heck would want that? Glocks fail too much and 9mm is innefective....Right? I mean, I read it on the internet, so it must be true!
