The mayor is a DB. He thinks he's fancy and wears ridiculous shirts and ties. He granted the permit. They're protesting is supposedly limited to TTU's campus, but they're trying to pull something. Their permit if for the 23rd. Yet apparently they're planning on the 21st. Kinda weird. This town is quiet. There's an abundance of LEO's here from the PD to the SD. The sheriff's department here is much different than in Nashville. Here there are a ton and they do active patrols, stops and responding. I hope it stays peaceful. I really do. But should it not, I feel bad the the protestors. Your description of it still seems to be how it is now here. Confederate flags are abundant, flown freely from porches. I don't care which way the wind blows and who flys what, as long as you leave me and mine out of it. I do plan on 1 trip to town to bring the SotC boys a cooler of refreshments and then straight home.

Supposedly they're coming to Cookeville next week to protest a street on TTU's campus. Dixie. Of course. Our neighbor is in the SotC, he's concerned they might try to damage a memorial at the City Cemetary so they're establishing ways to "guard" it. I'm all for peaceful protest but they tend to get out of control when roads are blocked and what not. I'm very concerned for the possibilities of what could happen here, especially given the population here. It seems like a odd city to protest in. We're 15 miles outside of town and it takes a bit to get to us, but I plan on staying inside as much as possible and avoid town all together.

Well great. Now range time is on the menu today! BTW, sold my g20 to a great member here. Finally got it in NiB-X. So now all my Glocks are purdy, you know, for a Glock...

He should have just called 862-8600 and reported the suspicious activity. 5 hours later, he could give them the plate #.

Are you still in Rutherford County? Is she current on all of her vaccines? Is dog aggression her only issue? Try Big Fluffy Dog Rescue out of Nashville. I've worked with a woman who fosters for them where we live. If that doesn't work, send me a pm.

Part lab part pit girl pup free to good home
MrsMonkeyMan2500 replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
Thank goodness! We just lost our oldest last week and in my head I immediately started to think how to work this out. Whew! Glad she has a good home! -
Oh. No. No. No. The day you see me touch or look in someone else's mouth is the day my life is in danger and I'm forced to for work. I just do front office, treatment coordinating and collections. Mouths are geeeeroooooossssssssssss! I would for sure stick with the doc over me any day of the week.

I've been curious who you were! I worked in dentistry in Brentwood for another doctor for 6 years. Now that I know it makes me laugh. My mother in law rants and raves about your father, you and your son. She always talks about how amazing you all are!

What are you going for? Implants? Osseous surgery? Grafting? Personally I'd stay away from Dr. B. Jones. Depends on your insurance too. Dr. Deborah Robbins is really nice, Dr. Bill Carter is too. He's in Donelson so that's pretty close to Mt. Juliet.

That's a beautiful build! I wish we could do another buy like that again. I actually got the upper and lower and we built a great AR for me. Light, easy to use and comfortable for me. Great job!

For myself, I have chose to only comment in certain things because in my opinion, honestly, subjects of a certain nature cause some really ugly conversations. I read threads sometimes and I want to contribute, but then I stop because I know certain members will disagree and then to have to debate back and forth for a simple idea or thought is just not worth it. Also, while I share the views of many of you, I've noticed that certain people have gotten ridiculous on certain posts and it's just not worth associating myself with a thread when I feel like it's borderline hateful. On the bright side, met another member today. Monkey and I were both happy to get to stop and talk to him for a bit. But for me, I'm selective on what I discuss or participate in.

I've done it twice on here and I'm willing to bet good money I know you you blocked! In fact I want to guess so bad!! But I won't. Comms was one of mine, he got booted. The other one I'm not sure!?!? LOL Blocking is best. And if you blocked who I think you did, then I am ALMOST there with you!

Gauging Interest - TGO Logo Stainless Steel Tumbler
MrsMonkeyMan2500 replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Yesterday I asked Monkey if he wanted one when they came up. He said "oh no, I got my Wesco mug, I'm ok." It was a mug my aunt gave him when we last visited Michigan. He's weird like that. So I ordered 2 of the 30 oz thanks to Sidecarist last night. I told him I ordered myself one. Instantly he says, you got me one, right? I denied it and he was instantly remorseful of his answer earlier that day. So I came clean. I had to before he jumped on and ordered himself one. BTW, he ordered a tee shirt and didn't get me one. Can't wait to get these! -

Late to the game but Monkey needs a new mug. So please someone PM when when this happens. I'm pre-senile. I'll for sure forget. -

UPDATE: TGO dogs for adoption!!
MrsMonkeyMan2500 replied to MrsMonkeyMan2500's topic in General Chat
Thanks Hozzie, apparently we're just meant to have dogs that are worth more than cars and things. At this point between him and Max alone we could've bought a new tractor. LOL He's back to high energy puppy craziness so keeping him calm and contained is the main issue now. But I'll take that over him being ill! -
UPDATE: TGO dogs for adoption!!

Well, we had an eventful weekend. We planned to buy a car for Monkey's mom this weekend. Saturday we went to the vet with our Labaweiner Max to get his blood checked (he's 12 and has an auto immune disease). Jack, the little foster was ill for the past two weeks and antibiotics weren't helping. They took X-rays and come to find out, the little guy had a major issue with his small intestine. It was causing a blockage by obstucting itself. 1 surgery and 3 days later we have a recovering pup and no car. LOL His chances were not the best but we went for it. I'm glad we did. A couple thousand later and he's sassy and rambunctious as ever! The every 2 hour feedings is the hard part. 7 days to go, wish us luck! -
That's why I like Shiner Cheer! Wish it was available year round!

Monkey said that sounds good but he'd like another bottle of that Weller!! ;-)

I personally choose the Alien Gear reinforced belt. But be careful when ordering. I didn't read the size guide properly and got smaller belts than what I needed. But I did get them much fast than 6 weeks.

First and foremost, I'm really sorry that you're facing this. It's a tough decision. But faithful friends is amazing, Trek is right. When Monkey and I first got together, his big, huge, lovebug of a Rottie had a heart attack right in front of me while I was home alone. Monkey made it home, but I had called out vet and they recommended Faithful Friends. They were very kind and sweet. They sent someone within the hour to pick him up and take him to be privately cremated. It was $250 because Buddy weighed 160. It included a basic plastic white urn. He's now in a Jack Daniels Singel Barrel Box. Very fitting. When I made the decision 2 years ago to let my boy Bailey pass, I wanted it done at home in the garden and not in the vet's office. There's an excellent mobile vet that we used. She charged $450 but that includes cremation and a pretty wood box. Her name is Dr. Childs and she and her tech were patient and gracious while I said goodbye. tel:16157990616. I would highly recommend them. Whatever you decide, good luck. It is a very hard process.

Haha! Never!! Except maybe my 21sf. I hate it. I've never disliked shooting a gun so much. But you'll be hard pressed to ever see me list my others! Besides we have a no selling rule in this house. We keep everything. Everything. Monkey's only request.

I just might. I'm returning to work soon. I landed a pretty amazing job and we'll be fortunate enough to use my paycheck to pay bills and his will just be savings/fun/angry money.
