Just Getting Started (2/5)

  1. To each his own, but I bought a Kimber K6 a year ago and have been pleased with it. Good trigger, night sights, 6 rounds and 25 ounces.
  2. I agree with a previous post, that bear spray is more effective than a handgun. Having said that, when I am in back country, I also carry a Ruger LCR .357.
  3. I have read several accounts of Sig P-320 discharges without pulling the trigger. Maybe they did maybe they didn’t. I also remember all of the allegations of Glocks going off without touching the triggers for the last 40 years. I believe a lot of these stories are people just covering their ass for being stupid and careless.
  4. Light weight, easy to carry on longer hikes, I always carry my Ruger LCR .357. I used it this past Sept. at Glacier National Park.

    P365 vs Hellcat

I’ve been carrying my 365 for just over a year. Couldn’t be happier with it.
  6. Not sure how quick you need a new Venom, but I bought a new one 1 1/2 weeks ago at Kings firearms in Columbia, Tenn. I did pay $30.00 to much, but I wanted it and it was in stock. Good luck.
  7. Welcome to TGO, also from Columbia.
  8. Like some other comments, there is not an absolute best carry weapon, as for me, I carry a Sig P365 and sometimes Kimber Micro 9. They work well for me. Good luck in finding the right weapon for you.

    Kimber K6

I just picked up a Kimber K6 revolver I had ordered online. I haven’t had a chance to get to the range yet. I had been considering one for a little while and decided to go ahead. I like the looks, the trigger, the night sights and the 6 rounds. The range trip will tell me if I made the right decision or not. I was wanting to get any feedback I could from any members who have any personal experience with a K6. Thanks.
  10. I have a Ruger American .22 mag. and it is as accurate as any rimfire I have ever owned. For the money, you can’t go wrong.
  11. I was in Dunhams Sports in Columbia, Tn. the other day, and they had plenty of Federal 9mm ammo. It wasn’t cheap, I believe around 12.99 a box, but they had plenty.
