  1. 30 years ago I bought a SKS in great condition for $99. And a Mosin for not much more than that. I guess I can just reflect back on the "good ole days."
  2. I've been married to a redhead for 40 years. So, I would understand his analogy even if written in ancient Hittite cuneiform...
  3. Never fired a Canik, but I have to agree with the Ruger SP101 choice.
  4. I am about the furthest thing from a Glock "fanboy" as you will ever find. I do own two but that's all. A model 19 and a model 20 which is in 10 mm. Yes, it has big grips, but I have big hands. I did put a Talon grip wrap which gives a sandpaper type grip so it is locked in hand regardless of recoil or sweat. I also have a Trijicon RMS on slide. I gotta say that it has sure done a good job. These pictures were taken prior to the Talon grips being put on.
  5. By "scratched up" you mean a lot of scroll engraving?? Right?
  6. That video was very informative. Thanks for pointing it out, Deerslayer.
  7. Was it from the texture of the grip or the shape of the bottom of the mag??
  8. Very few problems in life that "buying more guns" won't solve..... I think Socrates or Plato said that.....
  9. While my primary AR is the Daniel Defense DDM4 V7, I have to agree with all that River02 says here. I too replaced the trigger with the Gieselle SSA-E trigger and also have an ACOG scope installed, but it is just absolutely flawless. I have not put as many rounds as River has through his, but I have put a lot and never one, single failure. I have fed quality ammo through it and I have fed crap, too. It eats it all. Again, this is not to sell a "brand" but these things are just as solid as a rock in their makeup, construction and performance.

Don't get me wrong, but I think "picking up three" in one day puts you in the category of a big revolver guy.
  11. I agree with Ken on this.............
  12. That was an interesting little tour. Thanks for posting.
  13. I don't know anything about them but based on what @1gewehr said it's probably a parts gun, but I would still love to own one. As he said, "Go shoot it and have fun."
  14. Thanks for sharing that. Love it.
  15. I really like the Tomcat also. Love the pop up barrel. I kept it stock for years but "dolled" it up a bit with some new wood grips.
  16. Very nice indeed. I have since added Talon grips to mine, as well. Many have tried to discount the XDs but for the life of me, I don't understand. It has been one of the most reliable and concealable pistols I've ever owned.
  17. Springfield Armory XDs .45. Over 2,000 rounds and still rockin'.
  18. It's a marketing opportunity. The sharks smell blood in the water.............
  19. Very nice. What was your distance?
  20. I'd say that if you are gonna buy one revolver every 30 years, this is a pretty good one to grab.
  21. I guess you can offer some pretty good deals if you never plan on shipping out the product..........

    Amen to this.............
  23. As pleased as I am with my Tisas products, I can understand your weakness. I may start getting weak, too.
  24. I'll second this recommendation............
  25. The GCA is who I used in all of my CMP purchases. Very easy.
