  2. time to take the wally world stroll....congrats and carry safe!
  3. was depriming some CBC brass last night (I hope I've called it correctly), and I noticed that several shells would not fit correctly in the shell holder. Seems you had to really work it to get it right and then guide the shell into the press. Anybody had this issue? It was not with any other headstamp and not every CBC round.
  4. """It is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government....""""
  5. I will say one thing for Jess, I got the pleasure of meeting him, his wife, and daughter at the last gun show in Knoxville, he has two very good looking gals around him and I know he's proud.....so for those who wonder about the part of Jess' avatar pix that you can't see......
  6. its your gun, handle it all you want too. just be careful it doesn't go off accidentally.....
  7. Most of our wives/girlfriends would not allow us to do what you have done with the pixs of your gf. Mine.....NFW! So for me, I just enjoy seeing other show off their other half. Take no offense from me, my comments are in good fun, besides, I don't want an @$$ whoopin next time you see me. I might have to hide behind Suntzu:nervous:. Like I tell my dad, I carry because I don't/can't run like I use too!!!
  8. something about a school girl with pig tails....
  9. welcome from other side of state - knoxville. post often and stay late.
  10. yesterday I was at my sister's house, and she told me the night before it sounded like someone was wiggling the front door handle and trying to get in. She was in the downstairs portion of her house and she keeps her .38 spl in a drawer downstairs. He pulled the hammer back to use as SA and after the incident was over, she went to release the hammer and it had stuck. I tried for several minutes to get the hammer to release and somehow unbeknownst to me I did. Has anyone else had this happen? Did she simply pull the hammer back too far in the heat of the moment or could there be something else? I have shot this pistol several times before in SA mode and had no issues. Humm, all you S&W guys chime in here......
  11. think of it this way: new hobby, new hobby, new hobby.........and its relaxing, fun, and you gain knowledge. plus it gets you out of the house if your bench is in a separate building. it gives you something to do in your old age.......
  12. welcome from knoxville. personally meet as many people here as possible and you will find out we generally bullchit alot. we often get together and shoot at Norris, $30 annual fee, July-June. John Sevier range on rifle range in ktown is ok, its outside, no 7 yd but 15 yd is the closest. CCA has ladies free on tuesdays, 1/2 price for any male shooting with you. As for the rest of it, gun show March 20/21 at Knoxville Expo Center, meet us there at 9:00 and we all drool over the stuff there. who knows, you might find something a little larger you like (Springfield XD9, XD40, etc). Post often and stay late...
  13. welcome, watch the post for shoots with fellow tgo'ers. usually montly shoots are in order. post often and stay late.....btw - springfields rock
  14. Anybody had any problems with marring the gun being holstered with the ST? I purchased one recently, love the holster, EXTREMELY comfortable, love the fact its adjustable. I've heard Kydex will mar the finish on the pistol. What say ye?
  15. Ok, for all you peeps who have had a gun deal fall thru, how long does it take to get over it? I had snagged a Springfield XD40sc last week, guy was selling for his bro and seller got tied up with his family and we couldn't close deal Saturday. His bro got "upset" and decided not to sell it after all. I was very, what's a good word, pi$$ed - to say the least. Guess I memorialize it on the back of my car....
  16. you're going to make me cry next time I see you at the range, aren't you? You'll say "see what you could have done!" Look at your "old" AK and my "new" AK.....nanny nanny boo boo
  17. no disrespect, but I always felt the ones on the highway represented a "sign" thus subject to a sign tax". Although sympathetic, it is somewhat trashy.
  18. +1 for Austins. Took my class there as well, great bunch a fella's. Although the shooting range in December was somewhat cold, it was still fun.
  19. its like having nothing on at all.....
  20. thread won't die
  21. since it is law that no guns be carried on school grounds, and we all know there are currently none being carried, handled, etc on school grounds, forbidding the ownership/legal carry, etc OFF campus will not hold up in court. If an employer tells you that you cannot own a gun off the work campus because they do not allow it, we would tell them to soak their heads. So why is this different? Hamilton is an idiot, always has been, always will be. After all, he fired Fulmer, hired Kiffen, and the jury is still out on Dulley. Send Hamilton packing, he disgraces the university.
  22. ahhh the life of a dog, there's nothing like coming home after a long hard day and having my butt sniffed at least a dozen times by my four dogs......ya gotta love those little creatures.
