  1. So I have the opportunity to go hog hunting this spring in Oklahoma. I was wondering your thoughts on a lever action rifle with a scout scope mounted up front for hogs. 30-150 yards. I have been looking at 30-30's, 45LC, 45-70, and 44 Mag. What do you think would be the best choice? I have found some pretty good deals on marlin 30-30's. Mostly under $300.
  2. I love the PM9 and it dissappears in my pocket. The P238 is nice but I do not see a need to go under 9mm.
  3. Well I called Sig customer service today. They told me that since I was not the original owner that I would have to pay to have the gun fixed. They said it would be $55 shipping+$55 for one hour of the gunsmith's time. I told the rep that I had a little concern in paying $110 to fix a $300 gun. He put me on hold and when he came back on said they would waive the gunsmith fee if I would pay the shipping. I thought that was fair and gave them my CC#. Then they emailed me out a UPS shipping label. It's going out on Monday. They said approx 2 weeks to turn it around. I will post an update when I get it back.
  4. I have been talking with Chip Cain on getting one set up. I highly recommend him. Very knowledgable.
  5. I know you said under $50.00 but I have been wearing a Wilson Combat sharkskin belt (black 1.5") every day since 2003 and it is still going strong. I wear my duty weapon, mag/surefire pouch, shield, and 2 phones all day every day and it has held up fine. I think it was about $100 and if this one ever wears out, I will order the same one again. You know what they say; when you buy quality, you only cry once.....
  6. I was in Franklin today on business.....so a little side trip to Franklin Gun Shop was in order. They had (2) P-210's in the Sig display a ledgend and another one. The more I see them, the more I want one!
  7. You do not need a detachable face, I hid my wife's radio in her console. You can also mount under seat. Extra class here, wife is a tech..
  8. I'm a big fan of the Kahr PM9. In my book 7rds of 9mm beats 5 .38's
  9. Some Day.........
  10. I do not see how oiling the mags will help the firing pin......
  11. Most counties in TN have Grand Jury every month. In some of the rural counties it is every 3 months (once per quarter). As stated above they are used to prosecute felony cases. I have also experianced DUI cases being presented to Grand Juries. If you call the court clerk in your county they will be able to adivse you how often the Grand Jury meets.
  12. Yeah thats why I tried the Federals. All of those rounds shown did not fire after 5 DA strikes from the hammer.
  13. A buddy of mine had a Sig Mosquito he was trying to get rid of. Me being the Sig fan that I am, I picked it up. He said it jammed a few times on him. So, I did a bunch of research on this pistol and came to the determination that if I ran CCI Mini Mags through it I should be ok. Took it to OnTarget today to see how it ran. I broke the gun down and lightly oiled it. Then I loaded and inserted a magazine with 10 CCI Mini Mags. Racked slide, decocked and let her rip. CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, Bang. Yup it took 5 DA pulls to get the round to go off. Next round same thing. 3rd round 3 pulls then it fired. Repeated this process for about 75 rounds. Most of the rounds would eventually fire but a few did not. Here are a few of the CCI Mini Mags I picked up that did not go bang. Then I decided I would try some Federal rounds. Same story with those. Only sometimes I would end up with this: I broke the gun down and oiled the firing pin and hammer. This did not help either. Looks like it is going back to Sig. I shot 120 Rounds of CCI Mini Mags and 50 rounds of the Federal. I found the gun to be very accurate though, excuse the flyers as I was rapidly pulling the trigger in DA mode to try and get the rounds to fire. I never did make it through more than 3 consecutive rounds before it would fail to fire. Yeah I know its a PINK gun and yes I am secure in my manhood.............
  14. Well I was visiting some family in Iowa and got exposed to some Templeton Rye. Apparently it is made in Iowa and was made during prohibition. They claim that it was Al Capone's drink of choice. Anyhow it was really good wiskey.
  15. I bought my dad some old smokey for xmas and he seemed to like it.
  16. I have a 2022 and it is a fine shooting gun. I can't believe they aren't priced higher. It is a steal under $400. Look around used here in classifieds, sigforum, and gunbroker. I have seen them sell anywhere from 300-400 used and sometimes with extra mags, holsters, etc. It is a rare occasion that I buy a brand new anything.......
  17. I would get the fullsize 9mm. I had one and liked it.
  18. My wife likes her Glock 26 with pierce +1 extension
  19. Good Luck!
  20. I'll echo what others have said, good folks and excellent selection. If you see it in a gun magazine, they usually have one in stock. Prices a little on the high side. I bought a gun there in 2001, a Wilson Combat CQB. I had to have one and they had it.
  21. I had one it was a good piece. I never had any problems out of mine or personally witnessed any that had problems, but I have read that the blued models have problems with cracking frames or slides. "They" recommend the INOX model to prevent this.
  22. I have been looking at the Raven for my G23/ X300. I have tried a couple of others (safariland paddle, galco owb) and was not happy.
  23. I love me some old school smith's.
  24. I wouldn't think theyre scared of me. They don't even know what I do. I go there in plain clothes. Also I do not work there and am not an Outpost Homer, just letting everyone know that I have had good service from them.
