  1. The Ruger SP101 in .357 with the 2 1/4" barrel was my first revolver. I wish I hadn't sold it. It was one of the most accurate revolvers I have ever shot. It would touch 5 rounds at 5-10 yards all day long.
  2. I've been "playing" since 2003. I still suck. I pick it up when things get stressful at work, play a few months, hit the wall and put it down again. It's a vicious cycle. I just picked it up again 2 weeks ago. I took lessions for about 5 weeks but missed a couple and finally quit. I have an alvarez accoustic/electric.
  3. Anybody tried the Taurus titanium tracker in .41?
  4. Heres mine. It's a 57-1 that is Magna-Ported and has an action that is smooth as butter. Used to be my dad's but I had to buy it off of one of his friends because he wouldn't sell it to me. It has killed it's share of Javelinas.....
  5. I wear a G27 (issued) in an ankle glove daily. I have tried the alessi, uncle mikes, and desantis. The galco is the best.
  6. I am a fan of Smoking/Grilling boneless pork loin. It is easy to do and cheap to buy. I usually marinade it in a 50/50 mixture of tequila and Spicy Brown Mustard overnight, then grill/smoke for an hour or two depending on the size. I have found it dirt cheap at Sam's Club and you can catch it on sale at Kroger sometimes.
  7. I'm taking my father-in-law to this after Christmas. He is a huge western fan. BTW I grew up a few miles from John Wayne's birthplace and have been through the museum. I was young and did not appreciate it like I would now. Might have to go back there sometime.
  8. I've shot these through glocks and berettas and never had any malfunctions. Haven't tried the rifle version. They do hurt when you get hit with them.
  9. I have been looking at the Uniden BCD396xt or 996xt for digital. I just haven't been able to let go of the money to buy one. They are about 500, but will do about everything. The state is going to digital in the next couple of years and I travel to states that are already digital so I need to go ahead and buy one if I want to monitor. I have had a scanner since I was about 10 years old. Shoot me a PM if you need any help.
  10. Did you use oil or grease on the frame rails prior to the incident? I have a few Sigs and use grease on the rails. Not saying this would have prevented it, just wondering what you use for lubrication.
  11. Extra Class here. Used to run with the Maury Amateur Radio Club in Columbia but haven't been active the last couple of years. A good bunch of guys, and they do testing also. www.w4ggm.org

I carried and shot a USP 40 fullsize for about 4 years (sold it right after college). It was a great gun, I have zero complaints. I liked the fact that I could carry it cocked and locked (Variant 1). I would buy another one tomorrow if the price was right.
  13. I bought my wife one in .40 DA/SA. She put the houge grips on it and carried it a few years until switching to a G26. We still have the gun and it is fun to shoot. I wouldn't hesitate to carry it for Self Defense.
  14. It's been my duty weapon since 2004. No complaints.
  15. I have shot several of them and have owned a Ruger MkII for about 10 years. It is the best one in my opinion. I have the stainless model with the bull barrel
  16. I've got plans to build a 9mm AR SBR. Going to register a standard lower as SBR. Then build the upper, or buy. Going to have a ramped bolt so I do not have to change the hammer out and prob the hahn block because UZI mags are cheap, and I have some already. I am going with a 5.5-6 inch barrel with the intentions of suppressing it in the future. Then I am going to get an 11.5" 5.56 upper to go along with it. Ideally it would end up something like this: 9mm AR upper 5" 3-lug barrel w/ mag block *PRICE DROP* - AR15.COM I think this guy is a member here, and he has done it right...... If I had the money sitting around I would buy it right now. Hope this helps.
  17. I would go with the ESEE 5. It is on my list to buy. I have a SOG seal pup and Cold steel SRK, both are excellent knives.
  18. For the Kel-Tec and LCP it is hard to beat the plain old pocket clip.
  19. I'm going Friday "working" might come back Saturday on my own.

Those guys on Prison Cops on A&E don't look like they PT.....................
  21. I have an emerson with the "wave" feature. It works if you practice with it.
  22. Double check with Pritcharts, I stopped in there one day for a tour and they told me they didn't do them. This was about a year ago.
  23. My wife bought me one of these for Christmas when we were dating, I guess that had something to do with the marriage...........
  24. I have a buddy that went to NM last year and is going back this year. He hired a local guide for cheap and they saw alot of elk but he didn't bring one home (trophy hunting). He had some great stories and pictures. I hope to get to go some day.
