  1. Why not? You do realize the only people that obey gun control laws are law abiding citizens. If it is illegal to carry a gun somewhere, is that going to stop a criminal from taking a gun in there? No, it will stop you and me the law abiding citizen. The criminal will take the gun and rob the place or shoot someone, but if you and me were allowed to carry there maybe that saves our life or someone elses.
  2. In the 12 states there is no permit to OC and in Alaska and Vermont there is no permit required to CC. Can they carry anywhere, probably not but I bet they can carry to more places we can, like colleges and restaurants.
  3. Yes more eduction and training should be involved. But that is up to you to get it, a little thing called personal responsibility. I don't need or want the government telling me what to do. And you keep calling this a privilege, the right to self defense is not a privilege it is a right. I believe there is about 12 states that require nothing for citizens to open carry. And then you have states like Alaska and vermont that allow concealed carry with no requirements. And I believe the age to carry in these states is 18, not 21 like here.
  4. If a suppressor would allow you to shoot more, I say go for it. In many countries it is expected for you to have them and are easier to get than in the good ol' USA.
  5. When i saw the thread title the first thing I thought was "spammer"
  6. It stills uses fingerprints, on the watch not on the gun. Atleast that is what is stated in the link.
  7. A guy posted it on GOC this morning. If you take into account what you would pay for the 11 new mags, I got the 17 w/ 3 used mags for $325 or about $265 if you go by local prices w/ tax for the mags.
  8. What did you spend yours on Spent mine on a Glock 17 with 9 17rd mags, 6 were new in the wrpper, and 5 new in the wrapper 33rd mags
  9. You could just carry it in your hand. On a more serious note, what is it that makes IWB not work for you?
  10. I have yet to be denied, but I haven't bought a whole lot of guns yet. Probably about 10 from gun stores. I am surprised though, considering I have the same name as my Dad and he can't own guns.
  11. Don't quote me, but the one I saw at the Outpost was priced at $579 I think. I know there are not local to you, just thought I'ld throw it out there.
  12. There into the game now. lol
  13. The "cardboard trick" is ridiculous. It feels completely different than actually pulling the trigger. From what I have read, this dry fire kit actually feels like the real deal on trigger press and reset. So I don't think it would be a waist of money.
  14. WOW! I hope that is not real. But if it is, it is a prime example of why we need the Bill of Rights.
  15. Just looked a little closer and it looks like the guide rod looses contact with the barrel as soon as you reinstall the slide. So the notch on the barrel it sits on is for assembly purposes only.
  16. It is in place, just not all the way. When I remove the slide the recoil assembly is about half way off where it sits against the barrel. If you look at the barrel and guide rod with the slide all the way back you will see that the barrel has moved to the rear while the guide rod stays in place. So the guide rod looses contact with the barrel and looks like it is pressed against the slide release.
  17. Isn't the recoil assembly the same design as the sub-compacts?
  18. I think that is normal, but it may not be. All 3(2 17s and a 23) that I have owned do it.
  19. The Outpost Armory had atleast one 4th gen 17 when I was there a couple days ago. They may of had more but I wasn't looking for one so I didn't notice.
  20. I just bought a supertuck from a local store. You could adjust the supertuck close to neutral, but then the rear clip would be about an inch above the leather. So it probably wouldn't be comfortable when seated, the rear clip may dig in a little.
  21. I am pretty sure all of these cars do not have accelerator cables. They have a sensor on the pedal and a motor on the side of the throttle body. It is all electronicly controlled, so no CC servo. I haven't had any experience with any of these malfunctioning cars, but IMO blaming the floormats and the gas pedal was all BS. They didn't know what was causing it, so blaming the floormats and the pedal was just cover to try and give them time to figure out what was going on.
  22. They made it illegal for new automatic firearms to be sold to civilians.
  23. Terry Walden in Manchester would be a pretty good guy to take the class with. I didn't take mine with him, he was in Iraq when I took my class. But I have dealt with him many times at his range. Seems like a stand-up guy that knows his stuff. His number is 728-0223
  24. And they(Toliver's) always come down from the marked price. If you can talk to Mason, he is the best one there to deal with in my experience.
  25. Lots of them have an adjustment on the rod going into the master. If it isn't adjusted right the master can bottom out before the pedal is pressed all the way or the pedal could hit the floor before the clutch is disengaged completely.
