  1. Nice!
  2. I will never use them again. We had them several houses ago, our phone line got clipped by the weed eater and was broken for several days. When i asked them why they never called to check on us they said that its not their policy to call if there is a trouble alert on the phone line. So I asked them if all an intruder had to do to break into my house was cut the phone line and i was basically told "yes" . Cancelled that day, have been using Action Alarms and have been very pleased. If the phone or power goes out there start calling my and my wife's cell phones to make sure that we are OK. Also my parents had ADT, my dad died of a heart attack last year and we were considering moving my mom to TN. I called them and explained that my dad was gone and that my mom was moving. They told me that they were very sorry for my loss but the disconnect fee would be $300. My parents were over 2 years into a 3 year contract (which I'm not sure how they got conned into that).
  3. I had worked the night shift the night before in the ER and was sleeping when the attacks happened. My girlfriend (now wife) didn't want to wake me but she came over and left a note taped to my bedroom door to turn on the TV as soon as i woke up. I spent the rest of the day glued to the TV in total disbelief.
  4. No one asked you to give them any of your money. I truly get tired of people throwing out their political views in threads that are meant for fun. The Sweddy Balls skit is awesome and the thought of any ice cream company (liberal or conservative) making it a flavor is hilarious. Go make your political stand in one of the appropriate forum sections and let us enjoy this thread.
  5. My wife made us go to Publix tonight to try and find some. No go this trip. His balls are magnificent.
  6. Boy FX has always been bad about the amount of commercials they play but it was rediculous last night. The first break had 10-12 commercials. This season looks to be great like the others.
  7. He certainly will be missed, one of only a few members that I had had the honor of meeting.
  8. Season 3 released today on DVD, watching it right now in preps for season 4 premier. Hands down my favorite show.
  9. Last nights Griffin performance was much like his fight with Anderson Silva, only thing missing last night was Griffin running out of the octagon crying.
  10. I really can't stand Silva but he does make each victory look easier than the last. I too would love to see a Silva/GSP match up.
  11. Two houses in a row I found them in my water meter box. Now if I ever have to get into a meter box for anything I am a bit nervous. I am surprised that one would be in a mail box or anything that you use everyday.
  12. No one said anything about living there. Someone mentioned going to GTs and people act like you are going to get shot before you reach the door. Not the case at all.
  13. I read the article and yes its disturbing. I think your original comment gave the notion that if you entered this neighborhood you had a 1 in 10 chance of being the victim of a violent crime. The article stated that within one year you had those chances of being a victim, as in if you lived there every day of your life. It's bad news either way but I find it hard to believe that its the 10th most dangerous in the country. As for going to Soddy-Daisy, not after dark, i hear banjos. I probably know most of those 30 officers that responded last weekend. Back on topic, come to Chattanooga and have a great time, its a neat city. As with any city, just gotta know where to steer clear of.
  14. Thank you. I have been to GTs probably a hundred times and never once have I feared for my safety.
  15. Wow! I'm with ShamGlock on this one. Yes crime has risen in Chattanooga, as it has in every city that sees increased growth. I'm sure that coming from the metro Soddy-Daisy area Chattanooga is quite intimidating. Where exactly did the "1 in 10" data come from?
  16. I'm sure I'll be taking my boys before the weekend is over.
  17. Mystery solved. I'll be working your fight, I'll be there to make sure the other guy doesn't die after you beat the crap out of him.
  18. Dude who is this? I train at Micky's too.
  19. Everytime I see one of those fat slobs in a Tap Out or Affliction T-shirt I always want to ask them where they train.
  20. Sorry, dogs can be the most loyal friend you'll ever have. I hope the rest of your move goes smoothly.
  21. I have used the Camelbak BFM backpack for years. I was on a federal disaster team and I have drug that bag all over Louisiana full of gear and it has held up well.
  22. Whether or not he is in the medical field or not he sure appears to be closed minded. My wife is an doctor and I have been an ER/ICU nurse for 13 years. I have seen a lot of suffering and for me to say that someone should be forced to live when they are terminal and have nothing left to live for but pain and suffering is disgusting. Who are any of us to make that judgement for another person? Pulling someone off life support and turning off feeding tubes is much more cruel than giving the patient a peaceful option to ending their life. Simply stopping life support can leave the patient with hours, days or weeks of suffering. I have watched hundreds of people die, most of them died without the dignity that they probably deserved. Obviously this is not an issue that everyone is going to agree on.
  23. I think the man deserved a Nobel prize. While I also do not agree with suicide I believe that he gave the terminally ill a peaceful, less painful way of ending their lives. If you know that all you have left is a few weeks or months of pain and misery why should have to suffer because someone else thinks it is wrong to end your own life?
  24. Oldogy I am sorry to hear about your son. I have ridden for several years but I could never use my bike as an everyday commuter. I enjoy getting out of town or going to Deal's Gap to have a little "therapy" but every time I head into town I feel like someone put a huge target on my back. I would like to think that I am a smart, somewhat skilled rider but when most drivers are on their cell phone, eating, petting there pomeranian or some other stupid activity it just doesnt make it worth the risk. Another thumbs up for the MSF class, it not only made me a better rider, it made me a better driver while in my car.
