Notice I said allegedly. The media isn’t talking about this video at all.
-
I’ve read that the kid was some kind of junior law enforcement cadet, but rumor has it he also has a criminal history of underage drinking and shooting guns. This is allegedly a video of young Mr. Rittenhouse in the white tee shirt beating up a girl. If it’s Rittenhouse in this video, I certainly hope that he shares any funds gained from his lawsuit with the young lady he allegedly assaulted. As for the Wisconsin incident, I’ll wait on the trial. Now that I think about it, right or wrong, at my age I would never allow a group of people to beat me down in the streets. I probably wouldn’t survive. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/kyle-rittenhouse-video-kenosha-shooter-punch-girl-a9702206.html

You are correct about the RMR being the standard. I have several. I can’t speak to how the Holosuns will hold up to extensive use, but I really like the 507C Green V2. I have three so far. I like the Eotech like reticle, and unlike the RMR I don’t have issues with my astigmatism with the Holosun.

Thanks for helping. FOUND ONE!

Did you all look at the form? What do you think about #29?

Looking for ASR flash hider
Links2k replied to Links2k's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I was able to get the ASR 1/2X28 tpi flash hider. Thanks again for the heads up. -
Health insurance is what makes people work longer than they want. I truly wish that retiree heath care were more affordable so that people could enjoy their golden years in comfort doing things they enjoy instead of working.

Coffee County crime spree
Links2k replied to White Goodman's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Good article! This is why the thought of sitting in front of a judge and jury for anything is horrifying to me. We’ve been reduced to the best justice money can buy. It’s also why we have a thread discussing concealed carry legal plans. An individual can do everything right in a self defense situation, and depending on another person’s opinion still end up on the wrong side of the law. We have a family legal plan, but I think I’ll also go ahead and get the concealed carry plan. They are offering 15% off to Sig Legion owners. -

Thanks for the heads up. They were sold out when I checked. I ordered an In Lead We Trust barrel a week or so ago with the 1/2x28 tpi. They are back ordered until 9/18/20, so I should have it shortly. -
Please let me know where you decide to have your kydex sheath made.

At the end of the day the individuals working law enforcement signed up for the job. Some may have felt it was their life’s calling, others may have done it for pay and benefits in larger cities or just a transitional job for others. Not one was forced into what’s going to become an increasingly more difficult job. As a former officer, is this behavior acceptable to you simply because you don’t like how criminals, protesters and politicians are behaving or because you don’t agree with their politics? This isn’t cop bashing. I have a cousin on Baltimore P.D., a friend who is a lieutenant on M.P.D., a cousin who retired from M.P.D. less than two years ago, and a friend who died in a boating accident several years ago who was a sergeant on M.P.D. at the time. I could name more. It’s a thankless job that needs special people to do it. I have officers that I’ve known since high school who won’t speak to me anymore because I ask questions like this. It is in no way an unfair question to ask. When you were active, did you sign up to serve only those you agree with politically? I ask the same of young war fighters when they decide that politics is more important to them than following lawful orders and performing their duties with integrity. I know cops are human, but it’s my opinion that when you put on the badge, you shouldn’t make decisions based upon which citizens lean left and which lean right politically. Decisions about how to handle calls shouldn’t be based upon being butt hurt over how politicians and chain of command decide to implement policy. If this is the case, those officers are cheating themselves and the taxpayers.
-
These people should retire and find other work. They are stealing from the taxpayers. How many other professions would you accept this behavior from? They signed up for the crap show. It’s been a long time since becoming a cop didn’t entail dealing with unreasonable demands and expectations from an ungrateful public and politicians.

I saw the story earlier in the week. They gave very few details except the child was riding his bike with family and this jack wad shot him in the head. There is no justification he can give for shooting that baby. @crake you are correct, if this were a black child, the media from all of the major networks would be in front of the house of the slain child whipping everyone into a frenzy. This is why we have to take media reports with a grain of salt. Sometimes I watch Fox and MSNBC at the same time on my television and iPad. It’s like the left and right Twix factories, they are putting out the same product, but they package it for the targeted group that they need to keep pissed off and tuned in for ratings dollars.

I’m satisfied. It’s a little lighter than I expected, but I doubt I’ll be using it for anything. I was just curious about the knife because I recently watched a Prime movie about the first guys to receive the knife. I still have the Navy Seal knife the I purchased from Willis. I have carried it a few times. I can’t think of a real use for this dagger unless I decide to become a ninja.

It showed up today. Pretty fast.

Price wasn’t a factor. I have several RMR’s. I’ve mostly used prism scopes and more recently green instead of red lasers over the last few years. The green Holosun dots and reticles are pretty crisp. Time will tell on Holosun durability.
-
It’s not a pistol optic, but it’s a Holosun. My fifth (two pistol/three rifle) since this thread was started. I really like their green optics. They are clear for me even with astigmatism.

Prayers for your grandmother and family.

You make some good points, and it gives me something to think about.

I’m not touching the part about God, because we could talk all day about atrocities committed by believers and followers of Christianity. Secondly, I don’t advocate violence during the protest. There is another thread, or maybe this one where I mentioned that I would not support violent protest or protest after dark. I also mentioned that I would have no problem with the authorities arresting members of my group if they are out after dark when all of the trouble starts. You don’t have to believe that the protest will force change, but I’ll argue that they already have. Cities are meeting with protest leaders, changing policies and looking at reallocating police funds to social programs. I think that’s a real of a start by a group of young people. I don’t believe the divide can be any larger than it already is. We on this forum pride ourselves on our 2A rights believing that we will stand against a tyrannical government, but that’s a lie. People are in the streets exercising their first amendment rights and being attacked by government agents in the streets. The 2A supporters are sitting on the couch pissed at the people exercising their rights, and cheering the government agents. It seems like gun owners only gear up and stand up to the government when they are forced to quarantine, wear a mask or can’t go to Chilies. The so-called strong that you mention aren’t going to do anything either, unless someone is actually trying to harm you or your family. Their is a lot of liability involved with being a hero when your other option is to stay in and secure your home. Finally, I intentionally used bulldozer man because he only destroyed property. Had he injured anyone, I would have chosen a different example.
-
I don’t think it’s an insurrection. People are fed up, and a lot of Americans can’t relate to their plight. Most people on TGO are working or retired. Our biggest inconvenience is watching the protest on television. I know the protest caused some issues in Nashville, but surprisingly Memphis kept things pretty much under control. With the exception of what I embarrassingly call normal Memphis crime, the city has been relatively quiet for weeks. No major protest. Now we have federal agents coming to “help” the police. I believe that this action is a solution looking for a problem. There is no one rioting in the streets of Memphis now, but I believe the arrival of the feds will change that.

No, I’m saying goodnight.

Everybody knows THAT guy.

I can’t argue with you about people wanting to gain political power, but I have to disagree that racism was on its way out. I’ll compare the protest that started after George Floyds death as this generations bulldozer man. You have millions of people of all ethnicities who feel like they’ve been overlooked and taken advantage of for years. The Floyd video was just the spark that lit the flame. The protest are bulldozer man saying I’ve had enough, and you will recognize me one way or another.
