  1. It's the ultimate in pocket carry gear, as it eliminates the need to carry a knife also. Who wants to try it first?
  2. My book lists the P220 from 300 for 'Good' condition to 550 for 'Excellent' condition. Couple of notes, it says add $40.00 for either the K-Kote finish, or the nickel slide. Add $100.00 for stainless.
  3. I would probably take it back to the first gunsmith and have them take a second look at it. I doubt they intentionally returned it to you with a problem. Perhaps it worked well with their test ammo, or perhaps they didn't test fire it. They may have just disassembled it, found a broken/ damaged part, replaced it, and gave it back to you. However, if they didn't test fire it then I might be more inclined to take it elsewhere. One of the biggest things when doing any sort of repair work is that you do everything you can to ensure the problem is fixed before you return the item to the customer. Just out of curiosity, what type of pistol is it? Intermittently won't extract, I take it? Any damage to the properly extracted brass, or the brass that doesn't extract? what type of ammo are you using, have you tried any others?
  4. I really like that. Mind if I borrow it?
  5. I just got home from the Hendersonville Tea Party. they estimated 2500 attendees, and said Metro Police were estimating 9800 for the one in Nashville.
  6. Did a bit of research on the HK 4, because I'd never heard of it. Found this: Modern Firearms - Heckler-Koch HK-4 pistol Seems like an interesting little gun. Enjoy it!
  7. I'm on the right wing, but I never thought of myself as radical. I always kind of figured I was in line with most of America. Now, though...it makes me wonder.
  8. Got our reappraisal today. Taxes went up (as expected), but not terribly.
  9. Not to derail this thread, but I have a related question. I just bought one of the Lee turret press kits, which include a Lee Safety Scale. It looks like the Lee Safety Scale and the Lyman 500 scale are very similar. Is the Lyman a substantially better scale?
  10. I recall this coming up a while back, I believe the general consensus was that while it is legal for two residents to ship a firearm to each other, most carriers don't understand the law or don't care, and won't play nice.
  11. So, the amendment prohibits carry in a restaurant that serves, if there's an 18 and up age restriction? What restaurant does that?
  12. I was told once that most ports won't allow commercial ships to enter with firearms on board. I'm not positive that's true, but it would explain why none of the targeted ships ever seem to be armed.
  13. I'm going to try to make it Friday afternoon, got plans for Saturday or I'd make the trip. I went to the last one, it was pretty good.
  14. Looks like I'm okay, unless there's an asteroid or a 50 megaton...then things get iffy. RW, any land for sale up your way?
  15. Nice Jeep. But as for the Jeep wave, well...I had a '48 CJ2A, and still have a '51 3A and a '57 3B...I ain't waving unless the fenders are flat or the tires are taller than my hood. Lift it and throw some Boggers on, then we'll talk.

  17. Great job guys. It's good to see our elected officials getting some one on one information from folks who really do know what they're talking about, not running down a list of party line talking points.
  18. The shop I work out of is right in that area. I was there for a little bit this afternoon, it was coming down hard. 99.7 said that the following lines would probably die out before they got here, but I haven't checked the radar to see if that's the case. Hope so.
  19. Yeah, a couple of folks have. I've been able to sway the conversation enough to avoid answering thus far.
  20. I honestly never paid it much attention, but I've had several people at work comment on my TGO hat. Other than that, I don't really have any gun related clothing.
  21. Another Dave fan here, debt free but the house. The truck's a little old, but it gets the job done. Congratulations! It feels great now, after having made the last payment, but just wait until next month when the paycheck comes in and...doesn't have to go anywhere! :D
  22. I got to thinking about this earlier. How many of y'all wear gun related clothing, be it TGO gear, stuff from various manufacturers, or anything that's gun or shooting focused?
  23. I just picked one up at HG not too long ago, but I really like the black and tan ones. Planning to get one, since I didn't make it down to HG yesterday.
  24. Do a search for "Auumnition Encoding". It's been thoroughly discussed, short answer is that it's just a rumor.
  25. That must've been what the weather radio was beeping about a few minutes ago. Just some heavy rain so far, hopefully that's all we'll see of it. Edited to add, I just got up to go look out the window. The gravel road's under water, the pond is overflowing (not related to the road), and it's really coming down. I think I'm going to go put some rain gear on and move that bobcat into the barn.
