  1. I'm interested in a lower and probably an upper also. Depending on final price and how close one of the FFL's happens to be to where I live.
  2. We've never had cable.  I still have the same outside antenna on the roof I've used for almost 20 years.  We did replace the old analog TV with a digital one when that switch took place, but we pick up the over the air channels just fine.  And we use Netflix for newer movies.  It works great for us and certainly saves a boat load of money over cable.  Certainly where you live and the distance from the stations will determine how many you can pick up.  As has already been posted, http://www.antennaweb.org/ is a great resource.  Good luck.
  3. I see it locally at some of the Farmer's Markets, but we buy ours from a local guy who just has a sign out in his yard.  The local raw honey is so much better (and better for you) than the processed stuff at the grocery store.  I suspect that once you let a few folks know you have some for sale you'll be able to move it pretty easily.   Good luck.
  4. Very nice.  The size and shape look like it would make for a very useful blade. Very good job.  And I agree that you need to come up with a mark on these things!
  5. Congratulations.  That field is strong now, but is probably going to explode in the future.   After all, the NSA is going to need lots of folks to "not listen" to all of that data they're collecting, right?     Just kidding.  I do hope the degree leads to more and better opportunities for you!
  6. Welcome.  We spent a few days at Davy Crockett State Park a few years ago and had a blast visiting the Amish area and sightseeing.  A very pretty part of TN, and everybody we met seemed to be very friendly.  We've talked about going back but just haven't made it back up there.
  7. I've seen quite a few variations of the Savage 24's but never that particular combo.  I imagine that would be a very useful setup.
  8. Wow.  I've never heard of anybody having it on their head either.  Most folks I know that have had it all had it on their chest or stomach area.  And most all of them said it was one of the most difficult things they had ever had to deal with.  Good luck and I hope the meds start to take effect soon!
  9. I love it!
  10. Prayers sent for your family. I absolutely believe in the power of prayer. Now that doesn't mean that they are always answered the way we want, but I have seen too many instances where prayers were clearly answered in ways that could not be explained.
  11. Wow, it really healed up fast.  Glad it wasn't any worse than it was, and the idea of taking a picture a day and turning it into a movie was pretty cool!
  12. Yep.  Beautiful dog. Glad you found the "keeper" and got her safely off the street. Great job!
  13. Awesome blade.  So is it going to be a user or a collectible? If a user, then you're going to have to show us some pics of what it will do. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing!
  14. I have several of his books and have definitely been impressed with his knowledge and approach.  I would be very interested in your review after the class. Have fun!
  15. That's great news. Congratulations!
  16. Wow.  I was in there about 2 weeks ago and the only handgun ammo they had was some 44 mag.
  17. Hey, "stuff happens" in life, what matters is how we  respond. I'm proud of the way he recovered and handled the situation. I agree, his parents should be proud.
  18.   Same story here in West TN at our Wal-Mart.  I haven't seen any handgun ammo (except for 1 box of 44 mag about a month ago) at the local store since Christmas.  The clerks tell me the same thing, there's a line every morning before 7:00 with the same guys waiting to buy everything/anything that came in over night.
  19. Great video.  I've already forwarded a link to a bunch of our dog loving friends. Thanks for posting it.

    IT'S A GIRL

Congratulations to both of you.  I hope everybody is doing fine and gets to come home soon!
  21. Congratulations to BOTH of you.
  22. I was in our Wal-Mart about lunch time today and wandered by Sporting Goods just for the heck of it.  Plenty of shotgun shells, some rifle cartridges, and 1 box of 17HMR.  That was it.  The person behind the counter said they had not received any ammo in 4 days and the early morning line crowd was starting to get pretty testy this morning when they didn't have anything to put out.    I mentioned that for those of us who work for a living it really wasn't an option to come stand in line at 6:30 just in case some was delivered.  She said she was getting tired of hearing some of the folks in line brag about being unemployed and on government assistance, and how much money they were making tax free by buying ammo and selling it for double or triple the price.  Hmmm this must be part of the government plan to stimulate the economy!  Our tax dollars at work!
  23. I haven't seen anything other than shotgun shells at our local Wal-Mart in months.  Yesterday I asked a lady we know who works there if they were getting any ammo.  She said they get small amounts in regularly and they put them out at 7:00 in the morning.  She said there's always a line waiting to see what shows up and all of the ammo is usually gone within 20 - 30 minutes.  Of course she said yesterday they didn't get any in, so all of those folks waiting in line were pretty ticked off!     Since I still have to work for a living, standing in line at Wal-mart at 7:00 in the morning just in case some ammo shows up isn't an option.  I'm just glad I bought a few extra boxes after the 2008 scare.  Things may not ever get back to the way they were 6 months ago, but I still expect it will get at least a little better then this at some point.
  24. Glad he's up and walking with a walker already.  That's a good sign. Prayers for a full recovery sent.
  25. Nice collection, and they look to be in awesome shape considering their age.
