  1. as an old school wheel gun guy back in the day it is s&w first followed by colt and ruger. charter and taurus are side by side when it comes to wheel guns. you can get a good one that will never have any problems and the next time you get one that is a "pos". you just don't never know. some never have problems with them. other do. but you get what you pay for.
  2. yes it is six more. fun.
  3. terrible part of town, terrible part of town. go to the mall area off i75 for hotels. but stay in the name brand ones there, the ones that charge a higher price. the other ones have had the meth lab and dope sale problems. stay out of the hotel at spring creek and brainerd rd. meth labs again and it has turn into a place to sale dope from at night. the best hotels are downtown. the name brand ones next to the river. not a far drive from the comedy catch. you will pay the $$$, but you know you are not sleeping in someone else old meth lab. and the guy next door is not selling crack and your car will have all it windows when you go out in the morning.
  4. alcohol will work. or some disk washing stuff.
  5. wow that is high. no reason to pay that price.

  9. shoot them, i have shot ammo from before ww2 without any problems.
  10. good deal. your brother in law is a moron. glock for a rossi?? what is wrong with this picture. must have been some gold hidden in the rossi.
  11. yes chatt is poor on ranges and gun stores.
  12. not much around rs gass. there is a opry land mall and hotel close by the tbi biulding. down town for nite life. good music, cold beer, and food. several mall around town, but if been in one mall you been in them all. i like tootsie's orchid lounge in downtown, to me it has the best music of all the downtown places. whith many good places to eat on the river close by.
  13. it will the same thing as you find at any gun show these days. high price guns, high price ammo, lots of knifes and beef jeerky. but someone there will find something that they were looking for.
  14. i pickup one in 85. it was fun to shoot. wish i kept that gun.
  15. $18.00???? no way i would pay that to see a bunch of knifes and beef jerky. it has got to the point that the price to get in has made it not worth the trouble. the gun shows are a bunch of high price guns, ammo, rambo stuff, along with lots of beef jerky, magnetic jewelry, glasses and jewelry cleaning, and nascar collectibles. and the local gun stores are getting about the same, high price and rude people. must be the reason internet sales are killing them.
  16. i did about 25 miles this morning to get the old bike hot. did about 80 miles just before the 1st. i got cold weather gear, so the cold does not matter. rode all year round when i lived in dc to work. some morning it was around zero when i left the house. the rule was if it was snowing or raining when i got up i did not ride. but coming home from work was another thing. fun in the snow in the hov lane in dc rush hour.
  17. the gun stores in chatt are just bad.
  18. to me one of the hardest knike to sharpen is a benchmade.

  22. western auto 20 ga single shot that i got in the 60's. killed a bunch of birds with it for years. the single shot made a better bird hunter out of me. got more birds during a hunt than any other person that went. one shot, one bird was the way to go. had two good bird dogs too. life was good.
  23. nice deals. don't see that around here. just high price stuff.
  24. i am a member of crc and i am not 65 years old.
