  1. VP9 all day. Longslide version is set to be released soon if you are interested. You can get one with 3 mags and tritium sights for $557, which is a steal. https://georgiagunstore.com/index.php/hk-vp9-9mm-w-3-15rd-mags-and-ns.html As far as the M&P, take a look at the other threads in this forum.
  2. Unfortunately, reports like Dave's of S&W customer service and quality are becoming more common. I would pass on the Smith. I have a VP9 with over 15,000 rounds without a single malfunction or stoppage. Trigger is great out of the box, but upgrades can be had. And with any HK, accuracy is excellent. You mentioned the VP9...well hold your horses becauses the long slide is soon to be released. That's what I would recommend. http://www.heckler-koch.com/en/products/military/pistols/sfp9/sfp9-l/product-overview.html
  3. My nephew bought a new 629 last year. After less than 100 rounds, the barrel stated to come unscrewed. He sent it back to Smith & Wesson, but the turnaround time was ridiculously long. I would be hesitant to buy a Smith at this point.
  4. Mark, there is not much room for gaming the new classifier. Like you said, the first mag on the strings that require a reload have to be loaded to six for the slide lock reload. The only advice I would offer is just make sure your second mag for the reload has a few more than six in case of a malfunction.
  5. Also, X-grip in the near future will be making spacers so you can use the VP9/P30 15 round mag or the USPc/P2000 13 round mag in the P30SK. http://x-grips.com/hk/ The ones for the P2000SK will work, but there seems to be some fitment issues. I'm waiting for the ones for the P30SK. http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgun-talk/254249-x-grips-p30sk-2.html#post2121409 http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgun-talk/223643-will-hk-making-extended-pinky-grip-p30sk-4.html#post1792223
  6. You made the right choice. You can also get mags for it with a finger rest. http://www.topgunsupply.com/h-k-p30sk-9mm-10rd-extended-magazine.html
  7. I'm really liking my P30sk. I got a killer deal on it from CDNN. They had the LEM model for $499. I shoot it almost as well as a full size pistol. I was skeptical at first, as this was my first sub compact pistol, but I'm loving it. It has been 100% reliable, as you would expect with an HK. Get the P30sk V1 LEM, you won't be disappointed.
  8. We just lost two states in a matter of weeks....great, just great. As others have said, I'm sure many others states will follow. What other states allow under 21 to get permits to carry? I guess that is the only states we will have reciprocity with when it is all said and done. Time to write your representatives folks, they are in session now. Maybe we can fix this.
  9. Also keep in mind the HK45C has a Picatinny rail, the USPc does not. I don't know if that matters to you. Both are great pistols.
  10. http://www.idpa.com/misc/ Preliminary version, comment period until Dec 3. New rules supposed to go in effect 1 Jan

    H&K VP9

The VP9/40 is the best polymer striker on the market. Hard to conceal? Really? I can conceal carry an HK45 without issue, the VP9 is a piece of cake.

    Ok Sig

Sounds typical of Sig CS. I dumped Sig a long time ago, HK is my go to and I could not be happier.
  13.   That is my favorite one right there.   I feel your pain, same thing happened to me at The Cheetah in Atlanta.   Except substitute “hot MS sun” with “in the VIP” and “IDPA employee” with “Cheetah Girl” and you catch my drift. However my cussing didn’t happen until the credit card bill came in the mail.
  14.   Mike will treat you right, order with confidence.
  15. You did the right thing. I have 8,000 rounds through mine without any malfunctions.    I don't know if this is the lowest price out there for mags, but it is a good price. http://www.crosscreekguns.com/HKmags.html
  16.   Best Youtube vid I have seen in a while.
  17.   What?! No, they don’t. The laws in the states you mentioned, except Vermont, are in direct violation of the Second Amendment.
  18. Awesome match! USCA is the funnest discipline I have ever shot. Thanks again guys for a great match.   If you haven’t shot one at Green River, you have your next chance in November.
  19. Yes, Wal-Mart is getting out of the AR business, at least according to my local sporting goods folks. They have even put the Federal Fusion MSR ammo on clearance. My Wal-Mart has the 223 Fusion for $11 and the 6.8 for $13.
  20.   Okay, thank you for the information. Looks like I’m headed to Arizona.
  21. I see that the Southern Kentucky BUG Championship is no longer listed on Green River’s schedule. Also, the Music City Cup V is no longer listed on the IDPA website and I could not find it on the club’s website.   Are these matches off the schedule for this year?   I just want to know so I can plan my match schedule for the rest of the year, thanks for any info.
  22.   You could say that for the Tier 1 units, but that is about it.   So they spend money on the Colt 1911 rail gun, to now go with the Glock, brilliant.  Two bad choices-they should have adopted the HK45c like NSWC did in the first place.
