What is "TFG"?

Well, he's probably not likely to catch monkeypox.

Comp-Tac CTAC IWB holster at 8-9 o'clock (I'm a lefty). I've never found anything better.

So my all-time favorite Arnold movie may not be too far-fetched?

Ho-hum. I had it for the second time a month or two ago. A headache and a scratchy throat, then I was cutting grass a couple days later. Covid ain't what it used to be, although some sure wish it would come back.

How do brakes last longer on an EV? Electric engine braking? And how much does the average car owner spend on coolant? Also, EVs are supposedly harder on tires.

Ok five weeks lol. I deleted that part before you replied because someone may have felt that I crossed the political line and I didn’t want to get the thread closed. You may want to do the same.

I haven’t researched it and don’t really feel like it, but what are the current rules/laws for abortion in TN? I’ve always been surprised either side blows so much political capital on the issue. To me, why someone gets an abortion is not nearly as important as when they do. Does TN have a time limit?

I've done this several times and it's no big deal. It's nice to have a tool-less takedown 1911. Some claim that FL guide rods increase accuracy, but this is baloney. Recoils springs may last longer with FL guide rods, however.

Bumped to top lol

Mental health card for gun owners?
deerslayer replied to Grayfox54's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yep I read that when he said it soon after Uvalde. It’s interesting that a guy convicted of murder wants to dictate who can and can’t own a gun. On the other hand, he is a celebrity and his opinion is gospel to some. -
I don't think anybody else scrolls down the TGO website far enough to even see the club forums.

I've had good luck with Smith Plumbing and Hugo Plumbing, although neither one was cheap. From my experience with plumbers (and lots of other things), between good/fast/cheap, you usually get to pick two.

Well I’m glad the SC ruled the way it did and they have proven yet again that elections do, in fact, have consequences, but I don’t see how this decision eliminates many of the restrictions we already have in some places or prevents certain new ones. Also, incentivizing red flag laws is a step in the wrong direction. Call me silly, but I’m not ready to become complacent and declare that the fight is over.

Sounds interesting - would be neat to put a (user) name with a face for those we haven't met.

A friend got a Zastava M92 7.62x39 pistol and mounted a suppressor after doing some quick machine work to the muzzle. He set it up for Brown Bear 196 grain subsonic ammo and it runs like a sewing machine. That thing is a hoot to shoot. I have no idea what Brown Bear puts in the load, but it can definitely be done with a 168.

TVA asking customers to conserve electricity

Just wait until the climate cultists get their way and reduce/eliminate coal and natural gas. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. -
You’re crazy. Everybody at work today was bitching about the heat and a few said, “I can’t believe it’s this hot.” Ummmmm news flash, it’s Memphis, it does this every summer, at least the past 50 summers… And the news doesn’t talk about the temperature any more. Heat index sounds scarier I guess.

That’s my point - it’s already happened in places in America where many said it would never happen. People in other states woke up one day and no longer had the freedoms you and I still do.

All that makes sense, although I’m not convinced a simple awareness-of-your-surroundings mindset is unhealthy in the long term. Whatever the case, I don’t think having this awareness attitude or being in a prolonged combat environment (as apparently referenced earlier) is a valid comparison to simply being concerned about and aware of what gun laws have become in other states and could eventually become n ours as well. This is the comparison that I believe Link implied earlier. A refusal to become complacent does not mean one is afraid and paranoid.
