  1. I’m all for nuclear, but we (USA) have the means and capability to eliminate many of the the oil/gas/fossil related problems you describe. Also, the resources needed for electric cars are becoming harder to obtain.
  2. Because supply was limited, but that wasn’t so with gas.
  3. Also, why did world markets freak out after the 2019 terrorist attack on Saudi oil refineries, but no one over here noticed?
  4. Of course POTUS doesn’t set the price, but why was gas cheaper before the pandemic, when everybody was driving to work and going on vacations and demand was higher than ever? I haven’t read about reduced oil refining capabilities due to covid-induced labor shortages in the oil industry.
  5. Would a boost in supply from new US production not theoretically reduce the price? Assuming the Saudis or somebody didn’t respond by reducing production.
  6. Exactly. Gas was $1.89 two or three years ago. Wonder what changed.
  7. That won’t be a significant accomplishment. Are surpressors allowed/not allowed, change what division you’re in, etc?
  8. 20 rounds sounds better than the 60 or so the F class guys shoot. I got 600 certified about a year ago. When do the benchrest guys shoot? I think F class is (was?) 1st Saturday. I’ve heard people joke that Benchrest is competitive reloading, not competitive shooting.
  9. Nice shooting! For a while now I have meant to go embarrass myself with my Bergara at the next F-class match there. Is that the new Ruger target rifle? Also, did this get you 600 certified?
  10. My dad’s cousin got killed on one and my in-laws both died on one back in 2013, so my riding days are probably in the past. I don’t fault anybody for riding, but I do tell every biker I know to please be careful and try to be smart.
  11. My new Springfield Garrison .45 ACP. Ken Mays installed some usable sights and an ambi safety, took the trigger from 5.5-6 pounds down to 3.75, blended the Smith & Alexander magwell with the frame, checkered the front strap, put a mild undercut on the trigger guard, and gave the gun an overall massage. I added the LOK Bogies camo grips. It’s gonna be my new CDP gun for IDPA. Thanks Ken!
  12. I saw $4.84 diesel yesterday at a gas station on the way to Little Rock. Same station was $5.04 today on the way back. I wouldn't be surprised if it's $6 next weekend.
  13. Pretty much. Otherwise, I can't think of a reason our leaders would refuse to increase American oil production, which would A. lower the price for Americans already fighting inflation B. Supply the rest of the world or much of it and C. Make dickheads like Putin irrelevant. Instead, supporting the green energy cult is more important than national security.
  14. What are yous guys talking about?
  15. I have no problem with OC, but wish people would be a little more responsible about it. As in, use a quality retention holster (not a Serpa or Uncle Mike's). Show a little bit of situational awareness. Most of the OCers I see could be disarmed by my teenage daughter before they realized what was happening.
  16. That you Vlad?

    FTE Issues

Glad you got it figured out. I’ve seen extremely worn Glock extractors fail, but not new ones. Are you using Shield mags/mag catch on this gun?
  18. 90 bucks an hour for a lane rental?? Please tell me you are exaggerating.
  19. I often felt that bob and his guns did more talking than shooting.
  20. I once borrowed a friend's HK USP and to call it mediocre would be an insult to mediocre guns. The DA trigger pull did enhance my grip strength, however.
  21. I get it, but that’s kind of an apples-to-oranges comparison and not exactly a slippery slope. Following someone on the highway for a couple miles is in a different zip code from searching your house or scanning your emails. At least SOMEBODY is doing something near the border.
  22. Well, I'll play devil's advocate. What is the point of carrying a SAA with an empty chamber? I don't have access to a SAA or an 1873 non-transfer bar clone, but how far can you pull the hammer back before the first click? If released before hitting this spot, is there enough force to light a primer? I am the last to defend Baldwin and would enjoy seeing him getting buried civilly and criminally, but the facts need to be "bullet proof" first.
  23. These things are shooters. I recently ditched the G48 and started carrying my EMP4 again. I actually shot it tonight in an indoor IDPA match and had a blast. I recently picked up the bobtail version after learning they were discontinued. I haven't shot it yet, but if it breaks in and runs ok, I'll get a plain black Dawson rear sight and call it good.
  24. Wow. Sounds like the drive-thru nowadays - “Here’s 8 bucks. Just give me what you think I need”
