  1. We could maintain a 6 foot distance at the USPSA match. Half the time the RO starts the timer and just stands there and watches.
  2. Well, let's say it is happening. Are we to believe that China, Russia, Iran, and all the other world thugs have suddenly decided to launch cyber attacks simply because Donald Trump is a smartass? Or because there is some economic advantage for them? If Obama were still in office, you're telling me they would withhold their cyber attacks and ignore whatever benefit a slow US recovery may provide for them? Maybe they would even ship us some corona testing kits. Trump needs to tone down his twitter rhetoric, but I don't believe world leaders base their economic/foreign/geopolitical policy on some stupid twitter comments, especially when that policy could be construed as acts of war. If they want to hurt us financially and get him out of office as a result, it's not because he's a twitter bully. It's because he's not shipping pallets of cash to Iran, not colluding with the Russians, and not supporting the Chinese economy at the expense of the US economy by declaring that US manufacturing that moved to China is gone forever. Like his predecessor.
  3. CASA outside Little Rock is the one we are wondering about. MSSA is our home range and if IDPA or USPSA gets cancelled there, we'll know before MSSA does, unless MSSA is cancelling all matches (which is not yet the case).
  4. Well, it apparently didn't work. I just went to several legit news sites and loaded a couple articles on each with no issues.
  5. Looks like all rifle and shotgun matches at MSSA are cancelled this weekend. IDPA and USPSA are still on as far as I know, so apparently match directors are cancelling matches, not the MSSA front office. I plan to go play with a bolt gun and let my daughter shoot an AR next week, so hopefully the whole range is not closed by then. I would imagine we'll get an email update from the Razorback guys soon. They are probably still in wait-and-see mode and I can't blame them.
  6. That is my exact plan next week.
  7. If your scenario involves the utility guys not coming to work, maybe shop some portable water filters.
  8. Not quite the same ideas. Trump is pushing a one-time payment (possibly more), basically an individual bailout in an unprecedented scenario. Yang wants a permanent allowance from gov-daddy. They both smell, but one out-stinks the other one.
  9. I don't believe a couple incompetent, butt-hurt foreign leaders will train wreck our economic recovery. But I do wish Trump would forget his Twitter password.
  10. I had planned to go to Kroger after work and heard about TP shortages, so I went during the day because we were OUT of TP. Sure enough, Kroger was out. The store was packed and it looked like everybody was buying canned goods, chips, and beer. Maybe they were expecting to get furloughed. I picked up a few things and stopped at Dollar General. They had TP. Mission accomplished. This is getting stupid.
  11. If you have a significant collection with several of the same model, do it. If you have two guns to your name, no way. Some guns may appreciate in value, but many won't. The bottom line is if you will use the boat more than the guns collecting dust in your safe, go for it. Turn something you don't use into something that you will enjoy.
  12. And have things changed all that much?
  13. Every time some Democrat scoffs at the notion that the Second Amendment prevents a tyrannical government because the US military is so powerful, I point out that the Viet Cong might disagree.
  14. Back in stock, limit 2 per customer.
  15. Start putting something into a Roth, 401k, or LIRP yesterday.
  16. I regularly shoot with Keegan’s brother and have seen his work. It’s top notch.
  17. At some point, I will pick up another 48. I like having two of things I like. For me at least, it's just about the perfect size carry gun. The longer grip (vs 365, Hellcat, etc) is a big advantage. Big enough to draw/shoot, small and light enough to carry/hide comfortably all day. I usually carry it IWB, but have also carried it in a belly band. Now it holds 16 rounds.
  18. Tested mine this morning. Put 60 through each one loaded to 15, plus one in the chamber. They run. Now I will run a box of carry ammo (Hornady 115 Critical Defense) through each and start carrying them. I'm ready to buy Shield stock.
  19. Gamer guns have Warren Tactical Sevigny Competition plain black rear and fiber optic front with some combination of wider rear notch/narrow front sight. Have a couple carry guns with the same setup. Also have plain black Ameriglo or Dawson rear with wider notch and .125" tritium front on other carry guns. I despise dots or outlines on a rear sight--just a distraction. Dawson Precision doesn't sell a plain black rear/tritium front set, but they sell each separately.
  20. Trying to renew Benefactor status and not sure if I'm missing something. I placed an order to renew last night and never got an email. I checked on it again tonight and it still said Pending. I read this thread and realized that my chance to renew had expired and I just needed to purchase a new one. I cancelled the order from last night and purchased a new one, but still didn't get an email. When I go to Store/Orders, it says Pending and has an option to pay the invoice now. BUT I already did. What am I doing wrong?
  21. Well since you are the only person in America who actually wants white outline sights and demand still dictates supply, I guess we’ll never find out.
  22. If you brought your sights-free gun, your point shooting prowess, and your paycheck and we set up targets at 5, 10, and 25 yards, I bet I know who would not be laughing.
  23. Ha! Neither Glock nor S&W offers what I am convinced is the best. I am quite fond of plastic Glock sights, however, because they are so easy to remove Good luck in your search for white outline rears. I have a feeling you will need it. I hope I’m never nearby when you start point shooting In a defensive scenario.
  24. Why not? The shooter should focus on the top edge and sharp corners of the front sight when precision is required. Dots are there to more quickly draw the shooter’s attention to that front sight. Rear dots, outlines, etc are just a distraction. A solid orange front sight may benefit some if it is more visible and thus easier to focus on, but that is a completely different concept from white or fiber optic dots.
  25. Anyone doing true target shooting needs neither dots nor outlines; they are better off with plain black front and rear sights. White dots, squares, etc on the front sight are not the proper aiming point; they merely speed up sight acquisition.
