1. If they are illegal why are we not sending them back to where they are legal?
2. That was the only reason for going there and it was linked from another site.  Actually didn't know what the site was but with this garbage on there I thought that might be the case.   Thanks for the head up.
3. I didn't see this posted here but if so please move or close.   Amazing how ignorant people are.   http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/12/21/1172661/-How-to-Ban-Guns-A-step-by-step-long-term-process
4. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/01/rahm-emanuel-presses-banks-on-guns-86706.html?hp=f2 Sent from the iPad so couldn't find a way to make it a link.
5. It is not.  It returns February 10th according to the AMC site.
6. Thanks so much for the responses everyone and for the offer brighac.  This has been put on the back burner for now because of my other post looking for a heating and air repair company.    It's always something...
7. Can anyone recommend a good heating/ac company in the Memphis/Collierville area?   Thanks
8. I remember in one of The Talking Deads, after the show,  they said it was a nod to one of the writers.  Doesn't mean it will not turn in to something but they didn't make much of it at the time.
9.
If you have an alarm system, stay away from Vonage.
We us a cellular connection for the alarm. Thanks for mentioning that.
10.
Vonage, Ring Central and all of the others out there are required to have 911 capability. You register a street address as a part of the service. We used Vonage for several years, and have used Ring Central for the last couple of years. No real difference in the quality of service, Ring Central was just a lot less expensive. I think we pay around $14/month for the service that includes all the features and 1000 or so minutes of long distance. The historical "reliability" of the POTS lines is probably moot for most people who have cell phones. If your internet goes out and takes your phone with it, most just switch to using their mobile. Plus, with the decimation of the telecommunications industry over the last decade, I wouldn't put that much stock in the POTS lines being available in emergencies anymore. All the investment is going into mobile.
I got on the Ring Central site and it looked like all of their plans are either Office or Professional, pretty much business centric. Was I looking at the wrong site?
11. The only issue I have with cell phone only is at that point then everyone has your cell number. It seems with a "home" phone that telemarketers and the like could call that number and that would keep them off my cell. Please correct me if that is wrong.
12. Getting tired of paying a monthly phone bill that we barely use. Is anyone currently using Vonage or MagicJack for their phone service? I have looked at both of them but not sure if they are any good. I know we will be giving up 911 service and things like that but I just hate seeing that $45 bill for basic phone service and the majority of people that call are telemarketers.
13. Here is an interesting article with some quotes from the creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman. In it he says that Rick must act quick to save Daryl which makes be believe that they go back in to find everyone at the arena. If you watch the previews for the next episode you see the Gov walking through what appears to be a smoke filled arena so may be the come back and get both Merle and Daryl. In the interview he also says that the second half of the season is going to be more intense than the first half. Not sure how that is possible. I guess they are going to make the Gov as mess up in the head as he is in the comics. Sheetrock

Lowe's is where I got the piece of sheetrock and it seems too thin. Guess I'm headed to Home Depot in the morning. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

Sheetrock

The house was built in 79, just looked it up, and I do have some repair to a ceiling area that has the popcorn texture on it. Is there a way to tell if it has asbestos? Thanks

Sheetrock

I need to fix some holes in the house from some plumbing leaks. I bought some sheetrock last week, I believe it was about 3/8" thick but it seems too thin. What is the standard thickness of sheetrock for a house that was built in the late 70's? Thanks Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
17. Is there a major difference between #7.5 and #8 shotgun shells. I don't hunt, shoot skeet or anything like that. I mainly picked up the shotgun as a HD gun and possibly shooting matches. I know I would pick buckshot for the HD loads but for general shooting around at a match is there a difference or recommendation between the 7 and 8 shot? This would be shooting cardboard and some steel. Thanks
18. Exactly, this is the most important reason to get him out now and not give him another four years!
19. What Dolomite says cannot be emphasized enough. Tom Gresham brought up the fact that on the change.gov website they have added back their agenda for guns and the second amendment. Click on this link http://change.gov/agenda/urbanpolicy_agenda/ and scroll down to the Crime and Law Enforcement section. Check out the bullet point Address Gun Violence in Cities. There is some really scary things in there but it all ends with they want to make the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent. Add to that the fact that the next president will appoint two if not three supreme court justices and it becomes very evident that we need to get him out of office. Imagine what this country will look like if Barry gets to pick two more like his last two picks. It would devastate this country for at least the next forty years. Imagine if the supreme court voted down Heller and McDonald? That is exactly what you would have to look forward to for the rest of our lives and probably our kids also. Just my $0.02.
20. Great job Sam. I enjoyed meeting you at the show last weekend and your dad is always a blast to talk to.
21. I've often wondered about this also. I guess we'll just have to go back to vBulletin... Just kidding.
22. Here is something I was thinking about. Is it possible for the president to put off elections with some type of presidential order if we are in a war or Israel is? I read the other day that Israel probably would not alert us if they strike Iran and that there is a good chance they will do it before elections if it looks like Barry is going to beat Romney. That way they will have the US support that they probably would not get if he gets elected to a second term. It kind of make sense for him to ignore Israel and make them start something with Iran if it could keep him in office for a while longer.
