  1. If anyone goes to the show let me know if you see anyone selling projectiles, 9's and 308's, and surplus powder. Thanks
  2. +1 I picked up a Marlin XS-7 in .308 and it has been great for the money. Right around $300 without scope.
  3. A mosin was the first gun I ever bought so I was very cautious about it all and bought one of the Okie headspace gauges, Okie Headspace Gauges, to check it before firing it for the first time.
  4. I didn't really think about Sophie coming out of the barn. I figured it would be Hershel's wife and there would be some kind of big break down for him or something like that. I normally don't watch a lot of zombie shows but I have really enjoyed The Walking Dead so far.
  5. Check out the Proarms Podcast #23, High Quality for Your Caliber. They talk about what is some of the best cartridges in each caliber based on a number of factors including police reports and data for their shootings. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  6. Damn that made me nervous. Especially when he twirled the gun around before putting it back in the holster towards the end.
  7. I read an article recently that talked about making your own desiccant packs. They used Fresh Step Crystal cat litter, some tea bags and tape. I looked on the Fresh Step site and it shows that the crystals are silica gel and nothing else. Would you think it would be safe to make your own desiccant packs with this? Can you foresee any issues with this being put in with loaded ammo for an extended period of time?
  8. I have lived in Memphis all my life and have watched the city, as a whole, decline to a point of no return. I think this link here is a perfect example of why. Wendi C. Thomas: Kemba Ford's assets: name, looks » The Commercial Appeal
  9. Unfortunately Jake is just the type of person they are looking for to put on tv. I must add that I am very happy that Dustin won. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  10. Funniest name I've heard any liquor called is "Liquid Panty Remover". Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  11. Each local community decides on if it is allowed or not. I know Collierville has not banned guns in its parks but I believe that Memphis and a couple of others have. Welcome to TGO.
  12. Yeah there is a Schnucks right across the street from the Kroger here in Collierville.
  13. I don't think the Costco on Winchester is posted, at least I dont think I have ever seen it. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  14. Not sure this is the correct place for this question so if not please move it where it belongs. I normally wear a loose fitting t-shirt or a Hawaiian type shirt for carrying and normally they both do pretty good but what kind of shirts do you normally wear when carrying concealed? I don't really like the typical photographers vest or anything like that and the button down Hawaiian shirts do really well but I am looking for something like that but without the floral print, something solid colored. Any suggestions. Thanks
  15. Welcome to Collierville. I don't think we have anything like that locally.
  16. +1 They are not perfect but just ask England and Australia how important it is to have a single large organization to stand up for your rights. There is a youtube video that covers what all went on over there and shows the government destroying some really nice rifles and shotguns, just makes you sick to watch it. If the NRA doesn't do it for you then look at Second Amendment Foundation, they have been behind some of the bigger cases lately that have gone before the SCOTUS and won. Really think long and hard about why you don't like the NRA and decide if that is a reason to not have your voice heard or counted when it comes to your second amendment rights. Remember that from the outside there is not much you do but as a member you can change the things you don't like as with any organization. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  17. I always wondered why Wharton was in Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns group and I guess this explains it a little. I also find in interesting that 4 of the 5 cities that were awarded money were also members of Bloomberg's MAIG. Now we are left to wonder what kinds of "plans" does Wharton have to reduce handgun violence. Wharton wants to use Bloomberg grant to fight gun violence, help local economy » The Commercial Appeal
  18. I sent an email off to the Mid-South Airshow people to ask them about CCW at the show to see what kind of response I would get. They were very nice in their response but I was told that weapons were prohibited plus homeland security would be there. Not sure if it was meant that they would provide security for the whole show or just oversee everything.
  19. I believe it is the Desoto Rifle and Pistol club. Desoto Rifle and Pistol Club
  20. Glad to hear it was good. We normally like all of the Pixar movies and will probably take the little one this weekend. Thanks for the report. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  21. Good luck David, there are not many other than the ones you already mentioned.
  22. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Really gives you an idea behind the power of these calibers.
  23. I always thought this one was funny.... DYSLEXICS UNTIE
  24. The ProArms Podcast did a show on the best rounds for each caliber and one of the top ones they found for the 40S&W was the 165gr Speer Gold Dot.
