  1. Thanks everyone.  I appreciate the advice.
  2. I know that a handgun needs to be shipped to a FFL but how about a rimfire rifle?  If I were to order a Ruger 10/22 from Palmetto State Armory would it need to be shipped to a FFL or would it be shipped to the house?   Thanks
  3. It did have a label but because of the color difference from the pictures on the website I just wanted to make sure I had what I thought I had.   Is the load data on the label normally starting loads or max loads?   Thanks for your help.
  4. I finally had a chance to look in to the powder I got from David last time he was in Memphis, thanks again David. Looking at the Rio website http://www.shooterspagetx.com/rio/components_powders.htm it looks like the powder is CSB-5 judging by the color. A lot of posts I see about the Surplus Pistol Powder is that it is CSB-1 and to use Universal data when loading. I'm attaching two pictures so you can compare them to the powder pictures in the link above. If it is CSB-5 would I still use the Universal load data? David it is even possible that you got CSB-5 or are the colors off from my picture to the pictures on the Rio website? Picture below. Dolomite, I tried to match your photo for comparison of the powder you have and the powder I got. Thanks for the help.
  5. I am looking to get some quotes for a bath tub refinishing job in Memphis.  Can anybody recommend a company or two for a job like this?   Thanks
  6. Hey David,   So sorry to hear about your loss.  I know how difficult that can be.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.
  7. Thanks Sam.  I sent a message to their Customer Comments page to thank them and let them know I will continue to support them because of their stance.
  8. Thanks for all of the great advice.  Did any of you carry or take anything with you.  I know you couldn't in DC but if you stayed out of DC what about then?
  9. We are thinking about a family trip to Washington, D.C. and I wanted to get some advice.  Any tips on what to do or what not to do, where to go or where not to go.  We will probably be staying in Alexandria and then taking the subway in to D.C.  I don't think I can carry out there so I may not take anything at all as much as I hate to say that.   I'm sure we will see the Smithsonian and all of the National landmarks but wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.   Thanks
  10. Makes sense. Thanks. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  11. I know they sell springs for the sks bolt to keep the firing pin back to prevent slam fires. Has anyone ever tried one? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  12. Congratulations. I actually found some here about a month ago, nice to get it at a descent price again.   I went for my weekly grocery shopping this morning, not getting there until around 8:00, and they still had a case of Remington 525 bulk pack.  Couldn't believe it was that late and still some available.
  13. So I had pretty much given up on finding any more cheap 22's from Wally World after two incidents about two or three months ago.  I'm an early riser so it's nothing for me to be up by 5:00 or so.  Sunday morning is when I normally do the grocery shopping and I know that Wal Mart puts the ammo out a 7:00 every morning so in the hope of someday finding 22's I would normally go grocery shopping on Sunday's around 6:00 and hope that I might get luchy one time.  After starting this a couple of months ago though I found out you need to be up earlier than that and willing to go to multiple stores to have a chance.  Two weekends in a row a couple of months ago I stopped by the sporting goods section to find a couple of guys in line waiting.  The first week the guy that got the ammo had gotten there at 4:30 that morning, of course they only got in 2 1000 round boxes and he got both of them.  The following week a new set of guys and the first guy in line talked about how he had gotten 2000 or 3000 rounds the week before  by hitting a couple of the Wal Marts.  He had gotten there around 5:00 that morning and was able to pick up another 2000 rounds so, I thought to myself there is no way I'm waking up that early and standing in line for a couple of hours just to get some 22's.  It's been so long since I have seen it in most stores I figured it would take another year or so to get back to normal.   Maybe it's just that I have gotten lucky the past two days but i have found more .22's in the past two days than I have for the past year or longer.  I stopped my Avery yesterday on the way home and low and behold they had a 500 round box of 22's, havent had a chance to get one of those in more than a year or so.  The guy said they got six boxes in that morning and I grabbed the last box around 1:30 or so.  Then this morning I had to grab a couple of things from Wal Mart and wasnt even going to go look but I figured what the heck, it cant hurt anything.  There were about a dozen boxes or the 222 count 22's sitting there.  The guy said it had been a slow morning and only about two other guys had been in to check and this was around 8:30.   I'm happy to see what I've found because I'm trying to get enough 22's together for me and my son to go to an Appleseed shoot  by the end of the year so this was a good start.    Anyone else seeing 22's starting to come back around or did I just get lucky?
  14. Hey David,   Will you have any 8lb jugs of W231?  If not I know you mentioned SR7625 as an alternative to W231, would you have any of that?   Will you have 115gr or 124gr FMJ's, possibly Montana Gold and primers?   Do you still have any bulk .22's?   If you have any of this can you provide ballpark prices for it?   Thanks
  15. Of course there could be some of this going on also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmIMn2Quss8 You can start listening around 3:30 for his insider information , which of course requires a tip for him.
  16. LOL, thanks. I appreciate it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  17. Does anyone know if the Wal-Mart at Winchester and 385 stopped carrying ammo? I was up with nothing to do this morning and drove by to see if they had any 22 and the whole ammo cabinet was empty. The ammo cabinet was still there with all the price tags just no ammo, at all! I tried to find someone to ask but no one was working over there and getting help from anyone else is near impossible. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  18. Same thing here, I'm told they are waiting in line at 7:00 most every morning.  When I asked if they considered putting the ammo out at random times throughout the day like Academy does the guy said they tried it one day and one of the "guys" raised such a stink with the manager that they decided to put it out as soon as it comes in to keep certain people quiet.  I probably haven't seen any 22's in close to a year and can't be there at 7 every morning to stand in line with the regulars so i wish things would get back to normal.
  19. While I agree that the loose ammo will not explode in a fire what happens to loose ammo stored in an air tight ammo can that is in a fire?
  20. I checked where I live and of all the places it lists only one establishment had anything reported. Funny thing is the one place they reported on allows guns. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. Hey David,   Does this mean no more shows in Memphis?
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVrUf-GDPec   This guy has it right.  Actually a good video for anyone wanting to debate restrictions on magazines.

I've used Teamviewer many times without any problem. A local tech company also uses it for all of their remote support. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
