  1. I appreciate everyone's response and they all make a lot of sense. I will be looking for another Glock 19 and then maybe more Glocks and possibly more revolvers. Thanks again, the gun community has some of the nicest people in the world.
  2. Do you have backups of your favorite handgun? It is time to get another pistol and I am struggling with what to get. I love my Glock 19 and want to stick to a 9mm, possibly a 40, to keep my calibers consolidated. I have a XDm 40 that was my first gun but after getting the Glock a year ago I just really like how it fits my hand. I have some tax return money that I have marked for a new gun and was thinking about getting a second 19 to have in case anything ever happened to my first one but didn't know if that was overkill or if it made more sense to try something different. I have shot the Ruger SR9c and thought that was nice and was also thinking about the Glock 17 but I already have multiple magazines for the 19 and would have to get new magazines and holsters if I went with something different. I also need to get a shotgun, Rem 870 or Mossberg 500, and wouldn't mind having some type semi-auto 308 but not sure if I want to get those before I have a backup to my main pistol. More than anything I am just looking for your thoughts and opinions. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.

  5. i have noticed that since the new software I do not consistently get notifications of a new PM. One time I got a popup of a new message but other times there were no popup and no new message notification although there was a new PM for me. I have also noticed on Tapatalk that it doesnt alwasy have the newest message. I will send a PM to someone and Tapatalk will show that message in my inbox but it never shows the response from them even though on the website I have received a reply PM from them. Thanks
  6. Where in the Memphis area is the best place to look at knives? I had a buddy show me a couple of his knives, brands like CRKT, Gerber and Kershaw but he is from Mississippi and didn't know where to look in Memphis. I would like to check out a descent selection with good prices if that is at all possible. I am looking at pocket folders with a 2 to 4 inch blade. Thanks
  7. I've been in Collierville for the past 10 years and can't ever remember a shooting at WalMart. A lot of times I do my grocery doing after 7 and have bought there no problems. It may be difficult to find someone but if you keep bugging them they'll show up. Dont get me started on the customer service, typical Memphis attitude. They are doing you a favor by helping you... 8. If you watch the previews for next week you see Shane and Andrea talking about a change of leadership, possibly forced. Doesn't sound like Shane learned anything. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  9. Everything looks good on the computer and phone. Good job David. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  10. I caught Black Sabbath a few years ago at the Pyramid here in Memphis. One of the best show I have ever seen!
  11. For any of you with kids make sure you watch this. Pretty creepy stuff. I post this mainly concerned about the kids but it would be nothing for the government or anyone else to track you doing the same thing.
  12. If you need to call a company I have used Collierville heating and air and have had very good luck with them. Called them about 9:00 one night in the middle of summer and they were there in like 30 minutes, had someone deliver a part to fix the issue and only charged around $75 for it all. The do service outside of Collierville also.
  13. I agree completely with that. I just looked at Google maps and it looks like Humphreys is right around 1000 yards south of the range and then neighborhoods every where after that. Doubt it will ever open it back up. Now if they put it in the SE corner and face it east then there would be a ton of room but wouldn't expect that to happen either. I saw where RangeUSA is opening a place in Jackson that has rifle rated lanes. That is what they need to do here so you don't have to either be rich to join a range or drive over an hour just to shoot a rifle.
  14. I have heard about how hard these are to take apart and put back together but I found a video a while ago with a guy doing it and he made it look very easy. Am I missing something here?
  15. Didn't see this posted anywhere on here so I apologize if it has already been posted. Gun Store Smash & Grab Burglary - WREG
  16. I'd say this is very important. Tapatalk is probably the best mobile reader out there.
  17. ^^^ This +1. It is expensive but I have been thinking that if the range I currently go to shuts down that I will have to use part of a bonus check to get a membership started at MSSA. After that it would only be $20 a month and being closer to the house would give me a chance to go out and shoot more. I have always considered Atlanta a giant version of Memphis. My dad moved down there in the early 80's and there for a while it was a nice place to go and visit but anymore it reminds me too much of Memphis.
  18. Unfortunately I don't think there is an easy answer to this but it is something that has been going on in Memphis for quite a while. Here is a link to a story back in 2008 that covers the whole thing with Section 8 housing and how crime spreads with it. American Murder Mystery - Magazine - The Atlantic It is a pretty long read but worth it after seeing Memphis go down year after year as you watch it spread.
  19. Check out the 135 grain +p Gold Dots. I found some really good things about them when looking for a good SD load for my J frame.
  20. +1 for Butch that David is talking about. He was at one of the Memphis shows earlier this year. I talked to him for quite a while and he honored all of the prices that David had given me when David could not make the show. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  21. What in the world is the Fairview Plantation and who has $1400 laying around for a tip. That it's great for her but blows my mind. I thought I was doing good when I was a bagger at Piggly Wiggly and had this hot chick give me a$20 tip two weeks in a row. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  22. Very nice Caster. I had carried a XDm40 for about year and really liked it but after shooting a Glock 19 the first time I switched over to that and haven't looked back. I loved the trigger reset on the Glock and like you said it fits the hand perfectly. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm not a big Will Farrell fan but I was laughing my rear off at Elf the other day. There is always A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
