    Good Ak 47's

Really depends on how much you want to spend.  Arsenal bulgarians are the best imo, but you pay for that.  The Arsenal Saigas are good as well and are usually a bit cheaper than the bulgarians.
  2. You could just buy a scorpion pistol and add the wire stock to it,  Of course then you have to do the paperwork for a SBR.  Although it seems the ATF has changed their position on it and requires compliance parts for it now to make it a SBR.   http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_51/358158_.html&page=1
  3. I have the green and black on the 5s.  The green was a gift since they didn't have the black and the wife knew I wanted one.  Hated it a first, but one thing is certain, if you ever drop it in the woods, you will be able to find it again.
  4. You're done for now.  I started with the 4.  Now I have a 3, 2 5s and a 6.
  5. Unless things have changed since I lived in FL (92-96), you could have a loaded handgun in your car without a license as long as it was secured as mentioned above.
  6. All I thought of when I saw the title was "Elmo's World".  Fitting if you ask me.
  7. The note is fantastic if you do any type of note taking, actually any type of drawing or writing.  The stylus makes the tablet a stand out from everything else on the market.  The hand writing recognition is fantastic.  Between the 2 the note is a no brainer.  The only negative on it is the 1280x800 resolution which is due to the fact that it uses a wacom digitizer.
  8. Someone somewhere must have changed a law.  Even in the enlisted club you are carded and must be 21 to purchase alcohol.
  9. Walmart has 2 types of 6920s they carry, the regular for ~1050 and the one with magpul bits for ~1269, at least that is what I have seen in Knoxville.
  10. If you are paying that kind of money it better be for an Arsenal Bulgarian.  They were always at the 800-1200 range.
  11. Here is a good discussion on it.  Most believe it is a myth and due to the 2 different methods of measuring PSI.  SAMMI and CUPS.   http://m14forum.com/ammunition/100445-7-62-x-51-cartridge-vs-308-winchester-differences.html
  12. When I was at DLI for language training, there was a Navy seaman named Janet Swallow.  Felt sorry for her.  She should have joined any other service.
  13. I can answer that, when the PS3 came out it was $499 and a blu-ray was $599.   To the point, I had the came issue where it stopped playing blu-ray, a good shot of canned air fixed it, it was just a dirty lens.
  14. Root it and LBE privacy guard it.
  15. Also if the engine is high mileage (or even low) you will not be able to slam a ton of boost into the motor without upgrading to forged internals(or course that depends on the stock CR).  Not sure on the fords but most engines today to 10-1 or higher which limits the amount of boost you can put into the motor without the possibility of damage.  If stock I wouldn't really want to go more than 8-10psi.  ATI offers complete kits with everything you need.   http://www.tobefast.com/procharger-ford-f150-suv-pr-10001439.html
  16. Actually I think people might miss them if the article is correct and MD will lose 31 million in taxes, but this is Maryland, they will just tax something else to make it up.
  17. Don't really care one way or another, but my favorite 1911 (TRP) has them so I must like them to some degree.
  18. wow, trying to get someone to swap my oncall weekend with me.  If not I will not be able to make it since I doubt there is an internet connection out there :)
  19. if you want quiet(er), look at a Gamo Whisper.
  20.   When I worked at a gunshop we had nothing but problems with the Sccy pistols.  Maybe the 2nd gen as been improved but I would stay away from the 1st gen.
  21. I used to be a part of the mafb (Mid Atlantic F-body) group.  I never made the trip down to TN though, but I raced in the VVF (Vette, Viper, F-boby) showdown every year.   When I saw MIR , I thought Maryland International Raceway.
  22. If you haven't been there check out m14forum.com.  More information than you could ever digest.  As for building it for 5K you should be able to do that without any issues.  Of course that will depend on the glass you choose as well as the base rifle.  With a new springfield M1A no problem.  If you are looking for a pre-ban NM, you might be 3+K just into the rifle itself.
  23. I will have to agree.  I have owned SW, Colt and Kimber 1911s.  The only 1911 I still have is my TRP.  It out shot all of those.
  24. My thought is maybe Ruger/SW etc have shifted production into their ARs and Semi lines to try to catch up with demand.
  25. When I was TDY at the pentagon and Clinton came to vist, the hallways along his route were cleared while he was moving.  While I did not understand it, it is the SOP for some strange reason.
