Out of my two knuckleheads you'd think the pittie would be the better guard dog. She's taught the border collie to protect the back door pretty well though. I'm pretty confident that together when they hang at the door and peer out at somebody that's not supposed to be there they'll mosey on... At least it's worked on the Jehovah's that go door to door every few weekends! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Colorado apartment complex bans guns
Tedro2022 replied to c.a.willard's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
When I moved from Murfreesboro to Nashville several years ago the apartment complex had written into their lease agreement that there were no firearms allowed to be kept on the premises. I didn't have near the collection back then that I do now, matter or fact I only had one Smith & Wesson pistol. It stayed locked in its case inside my dresser the entire time I lived there. Never really thought twice about their "rule." I'd rather protect myself than die at the hands of someone who broke in and thought they were gonna just take it all and kill me in the process. Most of the ones that I get come out of sample boxes that have been shipped from overseas within the last week or so. They're still fairly new. And as far as Mr ProGun's comment; well, we do work together, Sir! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anybody use silica gel packs in their stored ammo? I use ammo cans when possible, but even in the ammo cans I throw a pack in there for just in case. Reason I ask, I work for a footwear company and I come across these on a regular basis, I can snag some and mail them to you guys if you would like? Just want to see if there is a demand before I start pillaging shoe boxes... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I laid sod at a golf course in Arkansas one summer, that was probably the best job I've ever had. I currently buy shoes for a living... could be worse, I know. I truly regret not lying to each and every recruiter I talked to coming out of high school about my asthma (d@ asthma). That probably would have been a good move for me. But the past isn't something you can change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Long time getting Handgun Carry Permit Renew-Update
Tedro2022 replied to The Legion's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Mine was set to expire in Aug, I sent in the renewal in June (1st'ish) and received my new permit this last weekend. So figure about a month and a half turn around right about now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Close man, NightStalkers is their name, 160th SOAR is their unit designation. They usually fly little birds OH-6/AH-6, Blackhawks MH-60, Chinooks MH-47s, and whatever that stealthy blackhawk is. Pretty crazy bunch.. Their motto: "NSNQ - Night Stalkers Never Quit" Believe it or not, it hit me while I was out walking the dogs this morning that I'd typed that wrong. The Night Stalkers are some bad MoFo's though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Nighthawks are based out of Ft Campbell, they're the elite helo group in the Army. I'd imagine that some of the incidents described above were training missions that they've flown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it okay to drink while carrying/handling guns?
Tedro2022 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Well...just watch out...we all know that even unloaded guns go off completely on their own all the time. :) Thanks, Dad. Like I said, I make sure the ammo isn't anywhere near while I'm cleaning. As for it magically finding it's way in, no it doesn't when you check, check again, and then check again after that. Empty mags and empty chambers = no accidents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Is it okay to drink while carrying/handling guns?
Tedro2022 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'll have a beer while I'm cleaning up from the shooting range, after I make sure the ammo isn't anywhere where it could find its way into the firearm. Crucify me if you want, but I know what I can handle as far as alcohol goes and I know how to safely handle firearms. I don't get trashed and walk around w/ guns. You just have to know yourself and your own limits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Northern Colorado to be 51st state?
Tedro2022 replied to Tedro2022's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Lets just pray enough people get out to the voting boxes in the next election for POTUS to make a difference (a positive difference would be nice). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Northern Colorado to be 51st state?

You don't think Congress would take their request seriously? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Looks like about 10 counties have begun preliminary discussions on how to break away from the rest of the libs that have invaded the state I was born in. http://denver.cbslocal.com/2013/07/09/effort-to-create-new-state-called-north-colorado-grows/ Hope this will open some eyes out west!

I quit eating ketchup after witnessing a similar incident. Sitting in a restaurant (the kind where you have to ask for the condiments to be brought out to you) in North Dakota I saw a kid take the top off of a ketchup bottle, pour some on his plate, and lick the bottle top to get the excess off. All before his mother could grab the bottle PUT THE LID BACK ON IT AND SET IT BACK IN THE CENTER OF THE TABLE! Bus boy came and cleaned the table off after they left, wiped down the outside of the bottle and put it in his tub to take to the back. Hence why I don't care for condiments, especially ketchup. :gross: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This put me in a bad mood.

Got an SKS from my father a few years ago, Norinco, that's got an aftermarket stock on it. I'd love to find a nice wood stock to put it back into. Would anybody be able to point me in a good, safe, direction? -
Like Eric88 said, I hate seeing that dog suffer. That cop just fired 3 to 4 shots at point blank range and couldn't put one in its head to put it down without it having to suffer? Don't get me wrong, that dog is dead because of its owner, but I think it could have been handled a bit differently. I'm a dog guy, what can I say? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New parking lot law takes effect Monday, July 1
Tedro2022 replied to Sky King's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
So, I quit doing any business with any business in the mall that does not own their own property such as Sears or Penny's with their own entrances so you don't have to enter the mall.
Sears and Penny's don't "own" any of their mall locations. They lease them from the mall the same as any other mall tenant. Bass Pro gets away with it in their mall based locations because it is written into their leases with mall management that they sell firearms and if the mall would like to have them as a tenant they will allow carry inside their leased spaces. Sorry to tell you that your logic is flawed. But if you can get away without shopping at a mall, I say go for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
This has me thinking I may just ditch my handy-dandy iPhone, iPad, Mac Book and turn off the internet and cable to the house and just get a hard line hooked up with an old rotary telephone... Time to start the underground bunker phase! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Extreme Danger: Brady Liberal With A Gun
Tedro2022 replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
My comment is also waiting to be moderated... Just couldn't resist! "Your comment is awaiting moderation. I am also mortified to think of how many people can buy a hammer, walk around with it in their carpenters pouch and not smash people’s heads in with it. Two tools with very specific uses. If I enjoyed carpentry, I’d own more hammers. Oh that’s right, next you folks will want to tell me what size and shape a hammer I can own along with where I can take my hammers also. Listen, I haven’t gone out and bought a sewing machine because I’m not interested in sewing. Some folks are, but I’m not going to infringe upon their right to sew as a hobby. I’m also not going to push for legislation to make ever person who wants to learn to sew on a sewing machine have to pass an 8 hour orientation class and sew something while being supervised by an instructor because there is an inherent risk of sewing your fingers with the machine. All it takes is some training and some practice and then you keep practicing until you get good at it. Now, which one of those two things was I just talking about? Using a firearm in a responsible manner? Or using a sewing machine in a safe and responsible manner?" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Richard, if you don't mind me asking, do you work in the medical field? I've been kicking around the idea of getting up to speed on my first aid training. Never hurts to know what to do in an emergency situation. Just curious where you might have picked up the experience to go along with all the supplies you've got stocked. I'll be ordering another soon for the Mrs go bag. They have them in all price ranges, and if you spend enough time on there you'll find a kit with everything you need in it. Very fair pricing and good quality stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
