1.
I have thought long about this. Phil Robertson has no business placing judgement on anyone. In Christianity I believe only one being makes judgement calls. I am also sure that if you believe in God that you were created in his image, and that has a lot to do with why only God may pass judgement. Phil woke up one day on third base and thought he hit a triple. Just another person out of tune with reality.
To my understanding Phil didn't cast judgement on anyone, he simply said that according to the bible what they were doing was wrong. 2.
The bolt coming back forces the trigger forward through the use of a lever. The fulcrum of the trigger being forced forward is the trigger pin. I can see the trigger pin hole in the lower become egg shaped over time with use. Maybe not immediate but eventually.
Gotcha. I assumed that it would be over time that it would wear down. Couldn't see something breaking instantly, but again I'm not fully in knowledgable in AR's and the exact inner workings. I have built two and working on the third, but put together 5 lowers and all the parts kits have been of the same quality and in the $50 to $75 price range. As much as I shoot, it'd be cool to have one, but over the life of the AR I can't see it doing extensive damage. Thanks for the feedback Dolomite. You are truly a gentleman and a scholar! 3.
I am going to wait a couple of years before picking one up. The wait is for the company to work out any problems from use, like durability or possible damage to the lower. In that time the ATF will have had their chance to change their mind on the "legal" ruling by then. And, most importantly, the cost will come down or the copies will be out.
Speaking from pure ignorance, what kind of damage could the trigger cause the lower receiver?

5. Friend of mine has one from them as well, he likes it. Placed my order, so as soon as it comes in I'll get it mounted and try it out. Looking forward to the 6X magnifier that's coming along with it if nothing else! Ha ha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. Creator of the show talked about his death on Talking Dead right after the show last night, there was no conjecture of him not being dead. It's a pretty sure thing in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. Thanks. The reviews are all pretty positive so I'll give it a shot and see how I like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. What kind of gun do you have yours mounted on? I'm looking to put one on either an AR15 in 5.56 or .300 Blk. Just worried about it keeping its zero. Have you had any problems with that? Thanks for any input you can give! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. I think I speak for Infiniti owners everywhere, we are just as upset as everyone else that this happened and we wish she were driving a Hyundai... In all seriousness, terrible incident to have happened. The use of a gun to "neutralize" her as a threat was probably not needed. Prayers to her family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. Check out the Nikon Buckmaster line. They're under $500, have great clarity and mine has held its zero since day one (approx 4 years now?). Mine's mounted on a Remington 700P. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. That Pico is bad azz! I've had my eye on one for a while. Have a coworker whose sister works for them... Boy I'd love to be able to get a "friends and family" discount! Ha ha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. The more I think about this scenario, a shotgun does make more sense (to me) than an AR-15. I have an 18" Remington 870 Express that I keep in a scabbard (molle-able to my go bag). For 20+ miles you'd just have to keep an assortment of different shells in your bag. For my 6 miles, through a populated area, I'd guess that I'd have to keep a large amount of shells in the bag, especially if we're talking about a total societal collapse. Stealth would be the utmost priority in trying to get from A to B, after that I'd think firepower/defense and then food/water. In the short distance that I'd have to traverse, fire wouldn't be a necessity as I'd probably be moving at night to use the cover of darkness anyhow. I'd probably recommend the same to everyone else. Just my thoughts. Each of us will have different priorities and circumstances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Being born in Colorado, I do enjoy a Coors original on occasion. Coors Light is good from a tap as well, but I've found that Yuengling is my new best friend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. The wife and I work 6 miles away from the house. In the nastiest weather I've navigated from work to home it took me 2 hours because all the highways and back roads were at a standstill. I know we couldn't walk 6 miles in 2 hours especially with the potential increase in foot traffic of others. We would potentially have to detour our normal route to avoid some main routes that would be taken, so I'd guess roughly 3 hours or more. At first I thought, "AR should fit this nicely" but then got to thinking about the importance of maneuverability through wooded terrain and the "shorter" distance that we'd be covering. For us, I think our handguns should suffice. I'd just be slightly more concerned with having enough ammo/mags on hand. The 25 rounds that I carry with me daily may not be enough. As long as we could manage to make it to the house we'd be good. Then the thought process shifts to defense of the house/supplies. So, long and short of it, H&K USP Compact .40 and I just need some more mags to store in the trunk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

16. It's something weird, that's for sure. I think the kid that died in the shower (Patrick?) at the end must have gotten too close to the fence. They showed the same zombie that had the bleeding eyes a couple of times at different points in the show. It was "looking" at Rick both times. I gotta imagine that the boy got too close to it somehow. One of the producers on Talking Dead afterward said this season should have a "greatest hits" type feel to it. Hope that means more overall action. To me last season was very slow. JMHO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. Thanks for that guys, much appreciated. This is what I was reading on http://www.handgunlaw.us http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/georgia.pdf 16-11-126. Possession and Carrying a Concealed Weapon; Penalty for Violating Licensing Requirement (a) Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun may have or carry on his or her person a weapon or long gun on his or her property or inside his or her home, motor vehicle, or place of business without a valid weapons carry license. (b) Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun may have or carry on his or her person a long gun without a valid weapons carry license, provided that if the long gun is loaded, it shall only be carried in an open and fully exposed manner. (c) Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun may have or carry any handgun provided that it is enclosed in a case and unloaded. (d) Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun who is eligible for a weapons carry license may transport a handgun or long gun in any private passenger motor vehicle; provided, however, that private property owners or persons in legal control of property through a lease, rental agreement, licensing agreement, contract, or any other agreement to control access to such property shall have the right to forbid possession of a weapon or long gun on their property, except as provided in Code Section 16-11-135. No Permit License Is needed to carry the firearm inside your Motor Vehicle either openly or concealed. Note: The GA Court of Appeals ruled in (Hubbard v. State, 210 Ga. App. 141, 143-44 1993) that if you do not have a permit/license honored in GA you can only carry a firearm in “Your Own Vehicle.” This means you can carry in “Your Own Vehicle” without a permit/license but if you are riding in a vehicle that is not yours you must have permission of the person who has legal control of the vehicle http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/florida.pdf 790.25 Lawful Ownership, Possession, and Use of Firearms and Other Weapons (5) Possession in Private Conveyance.--Notwithstanding subsection (2), it is lawful and is not a violation of s. 790.01 for a person 18 years of age or older to possess a concealed firearm or other weapon for self- defense or other lawful purpose within the interior of a private conveyance, without a license, if the firearm or other weapon is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. Nothing herein contained prohibits the carrying of a legal firearm other than a handgun anywhere in a private conveyance when such firearm is being carried for a lawful use. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to authorize the carrying of a concealed firearm or other weapon on the person. This subsection shall be liberally construed in favor of the lawful use, ownership, and possession of firearms and other weapons, including lawful self-defense as provided in s. 776.012. 790.001 Definitions.-- As Used in This Chapter, Except Where the Context Otherwise Requires: (17) "Securely encased" means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case; or in a closed box or container which requires a lid or cover to be opened for access. Do these two support my theory that she is ok with a handgun in the glovebox and a mag located elsewhere in the vehicle, so as it's not in the same compartment? This is where I'm assuming (and I hate doing that, which is why I'm trying to make sure) that a mag more than arms reach away from the glove compartment is acceptable. Thanks again.
18. My wife is taking a trip to Florida this weekend, while I'll be taking a trip to Arkansas. I have a carry permit and will be carrying, but she does not. My question is, what are the laws in Florida and Georgia about her possessing a handgun as long as it is unloaded and stays in her car until she gets to her destination, where it will be secured in the house where she will be staying? From what I have read online it seems that she'll be ok to have the pistol (unloaded) in the glove compartment and a loaded magazine in a different location in the car (arms length or more, similar to Tennessee). Just want to make sure what I'm reading is accurate/I'm reading it correctly. She will not be carrying it around with her, and yes we'll be getting her a carry permit when time and $ allows. Any info you guys could provide will be much appreciated. And apologies if this has already been addressed, I did several searches and didn't find anything that addressed possessing a handgun without a permit in those states.
19. The wife makes fun of me for having coffee stocked up and in the bug out bag, but danged if I'm gonna miss my morning coffee! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

21. Once I have to bug out (because my intention is to stay put for as long as possible) I suppose the wife and I will have to take both vehicles out to our meet up location with our support group. There's a lot of gear to transport (ammo, food stuffs, clothes, supplies,) and we'll need both cars. Currently driving an Infiniti G37 and she's rolling a Cadillac SRX. I'm currently keeping my eyes out for a truck that I'll be able to pass off to her as a "toy" or a "hardware store" truck and begin my preparations for the BOV from there. 22. I was just at the WalMart on Murfreesboro Rd in Antioch earlier tonight, they've got a sign up with a "No sales after 10:00PM or before X:XX AM" I shop around and pick mine up on line or press it on the Dillon 650, but on occasion I'll swing by and see what they have. That sign's been up for a while too, want to say almost a year now.
23. Great book! Read it twice and it's still on my night stand. Pretty amazing what Mr Lutrell went thru. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
