Just FYI I use the Mecgar 15 round mags in my 229 and they are flush fitting just like the factory 13 round mags. I've had no problems at all with them. I got them from midsouth shooter supply. Thanks, I was thinking that. I'm not very tacticool but with this new AR I might wanna get a sling to go with it. I've never used a single point and I don't plan on patrolling the neighborhood so I may be happy the way it is. I'm christening it as a pistol for now to leave my options open. I've left my stock with a friends just in case I want to make a rifle one day. I do love the way jrock4's turned out. Decisions, decisions...   -southernasylum

This is my first build. Do you guys stake the castle nut? I'm not sure if I'm gonna want to put an end plate with a sling attachment on in the future or not. Should I just wait? Also, for anyone who has never done a lower and is thinking about it. It was much easier than I anticipated. Not having to use roll pins helped a lot I'm sure.   -southernasylum

Defense distributed already posted a video of a single shot, reusable polymer pistol called the liberator. The only metal parts are the finish nail used as a firing pin and a metal piece added to make it detectable so as to abide by the law. The 3D printer file was downloaded i think 100,000 times before their site went offline. It's still available on many file sharing websites. They voluntarily added the metal for compliance but I'm sure the law will keep the bad guys honest when it comes to their polymer guns. Another pointless feel good law in my opinion. -southernasylum

PSA has some LPK's with Gissele triggers for $210 today for those interested.

My daughter and I stopped by today just to check it out. It's very close to my house. They are only open for the range and  ammo right now. The gas isn't turned on yet so there's no heat there or I would have stayed and shot some. Prices aren't too bad, certainly better than Ussleton's were. Unless the temp goes up I suggest waiting until they get the heat going before you visit.   -southernasylum

Wow. I just had a problem with my card today. I checked my account and found a $222 charge to sears.com. I canceled the card right away. It was within the hour from the fraudulent purchase. Sears won't cancel the charge so I've got to deal with it thru my bank. There was a time not long ago that would have put us under. I'm just glad I caught it so early. When you wash that stuff off in the shower use cold water. It will reduce the amount that gets into your pores. It makes a big difference. The cold shower is no fun but better than days of itching.

This. You don't want to trap any moisture between the insulation and the floor of the house. Also close the vents in cold weather and remember to open them again when it warms back up. If there is a lot of moisture down there don't do anything till you get that taken care of.   -southernasylum

I was a big BF2 fan back when it came out on PC. I've not kept up a gaming rig since then. The new vids are making me consider an xbox or ps. It looks awesome. I hope they keep a balanced gameplay. BF2 was very well balanced when first released then they nerfd everything because players workin as a team had an advantage. Well when people work together they should have an advantage. I still played many more hours than I'm willing to admit. You always knew you were having a good game when you were booted from the game and called a cheater.
