1. What analog_kid said. Even when our rental was already paid off it was just a small source of income and a huge source of stress. I am happy to be rid of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2. This is definitely a scam. It's been around for a while. The web makes it easy to get enough real information to make these types of scams seem legit. My money is on Raj never having been to Istanbul.   -southernasylum
3. The trigger is a single piece of metal twisted and cut with a notch. It pivots on the stock in a slot. The catch is a U shape with a notch that mates with the trigger. The bowstring pulls from the top of the U. There is a pivot through the catch and when the trigger is pulled the catch releases. Here are a couple of close up pics. Sorry for the poor pics. 4. I know I myself and many others love these: http://www.hanksclothing.com/hanks_amish_belts_ccw_the_gunner.html   -southernasylum   P.S. Use code: MDAYSALE for 15% off entire order thru 5/27/2014
5. She can hit a 18x24 inch box most times from about 15 yards. It can definitely be made more powerful but I wouldn't let get shoot it in our backyard if it was. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. We intentionally reduce the power on this so as not to hurt anyone. She shoots at a 18x24" cardboard box at around 15yards. She hits it most times. The pointy one goes clean thru the box the padded ones bounce off. If we wanted to we could have easily made it lethal at intermediate distances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. I'm so proud of my 14 year old daughter. She attends a private school. Her school requires all 8th grade students to do a 25 hour project and log their hours. I helped her with a couple of difficult cuts on the angle grinder and router but she did most everything on this. She even demonstrated it outside of her school. Her teacher was so excited to give it a try as soon as the teacher shot it she said "Well you'll be getting an A!". Other teachers heard about it and came out to give it a go. This was her project: -Stock is 2x4 pine -Trigger and mechanism is a flat piece of steel cut and bent after she heated it with a blowtorch. -Bow is a piece of 1" PVC heated and flattened then reheated and bent to shape. (People on the interwebs are getting 150lb draw on 1 1/2" PVC so we went with 1" -String is 550 paracord -bolt is an oak dowel rod with a penny ground into an arrow shape and packing tape fletching. ( I actually made this arrow, she made two like it with foam on the tips in case they wouldn't allow her to shoot the sharp one) Yup, my daughter rocks! -southernasylum
8. One quick tip. If you don't like the mold the first time just toss it back in he oven. It will flatten itself out like new and be ready for another try. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. Try using your oven and start at 300 degrees. I just put it on a cookie sheet in the middle rack. I normally do 315 degrees but some ovens may vary. When it gets floppy it's ready to work. I've done many crossbreed style holsters and a couple raven concealment style and I only burned one piece of Kydex in the learning process. WARNING, you may never buy a holster again.   -southernasylum
10.
I ordered Leaper UTG Pro Super Slim 13" handrail. Thanks TGO for the input.
Let us know what you think. I'm happy with my quad rail but I wish I got that one instead. I have small hands and I think that would be more comfy for me. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. That big yellow stripe is there for a reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. I'm glad for any pro gun legislation to pass. I hope we can get the park carry passed next time. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. I used the UTG Pro Free Float Quad Rail. I like it. They are made in the US and very sturdy. They have a UTG Pro Super Slim that I wish I would have got instead. Way cheaper. The Rifle Length Super Slim is about $110 and the Quad Rail that I got was around $80.   -southernasylum
14. There's already plans for a spinoff in a different part of the country. I think it could be interesting. I know it's a soap opera with zombies but I'm hooked. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

17. I actually thought it was funny and sad all at the same time. Look for more of these types of ACA promotions on some of the more popular Youtube channels. Nice Peter who does the Epic Rap Battles of History put out a video about how he and several other popular Youtube personalities were invited to the WH to meet with the prez and were asked to help promote ACA. I'm a fan of Nice Peter but he seems to have fallen for the spell of the prez and said he plans to help out with promoting the ACA. I'm not gonna quit watching his videos over it but I hope it doesn't just become all political. It is interesting to see where this administration is spending its' time and efforts. Guess there's a lot of free time for this kind of stuff when all of the borders are secure and we have a solid foreign policy.   Here's a link if anyone's interested:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEcxXDWqs-A   Funny to me anyways is that Nice Peter seems to be at the head of the table.   -southernasylum   Also found this propaganda video about the meeting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEtv5CT9Fa0
18. I love my P229 in 9mm. It's been my EDC since I got it. The 9mm will need different magazines but the .40 and .357 can share mags. If the price is decent you should give it a go. Even if you hate it they aren't hard to get rid of.   -southernasylum
19. I got several Sig228 MecGar 15 round flush fit mags from Midsouth Shooters Supply for my older Sig p229 and they work great! they look just like the factory mags hand hold 2 extra rounds. The price per mag was only $24.29 each for the nickle finish. The black ones are a couple bucks cheaper. Looks like they are in stock, here's a link:   http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=00099MGP22815N   -southernasylum   P.S. I just assumed you were talking about 9mm. Not sure about any of the other calibers.
20. For anyone who is interested, many laptop batteries use 18650 rechargeable batteries wired in sequence. My wife's laptop battery needed replacing so I cut the old one open and use the 6 salvaged batteries in some cheap Chinese Cree flashlights with no problems. The batteries all tested fine so it must have been part of the circuit board that was bad. I got a USB charger from Amazon for under $6 to charge them and it works great.   I bought a couple 5 mode Cree lights and didn't like having to cycle thru the modes so I modded them bypassing the circuitry and now have simple on off maximum brightness settings. For 6 to 8 bucks a light I have absolutely no complaints. I do long for some of the high end lights but I can't get myself to pay that kind of money.   -southernasylum
21.
Mark my words, someday the firearm industry will start coming our with "aged" guns. They'll charge an arm and half a leg for a gun they'll bang with keys and chains and drag around the shop. "Now you too can own a genuine Colt with the look and feel of a trusted companion." Don't believe me? Just wait.
The latest Jesse James gun is being described as "battle worn" and your spot on with the price too! It starts at $3500 it looks great, but definitely not $3500 with of great! Quote from his website on the Sandman Rifle: "They are painstakingly hand finished with KG Gun Kote, and Authentically weathered for the Ultimate Battle Scarred finish." -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. I didn't know Rural King sol firearms. I haven't been in years. I'll stop by next time I go visit my parents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

24.
Here are the $30 differences... I would rather pay the $30 more but either way $99 shipped for a NiB BCG is insanely cheap when you compare $99 round cut, no logo, 30 day warranty, investment cast key, investment cast extractor, NiB extractor $129 angle cut, logo, lifetime warranty, billet key and billet melonite extractor
Thanks for the info still a smokin' deal. I'm tempted to put one away for later. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
