1. I know they are not the best way to carry a gun but I always wanted one for long car trips and occasional winter carry. Here is my attempt. I "borrowed" heavily from the Galco design. I'm happy with the way it turned out although I did make my mag pouch upside down! I realized it after I stitched it or I would have started over on that. I did my best to salvage it. Seems to work just fine. Thanks for looking. -southernasylum
2. Prayers sent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. Thanks for the heads up. I don't frequent that spot much but I do once in a while. I am usually on high alert when stopping for gas. Seems lots of shady folks like to find a mark at gas stations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Price wet is 140/hr. Instructor cost is separate. They give me a break on the tax since I pay cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. Hey guys. I wanted to say thanks again to Mike D. aka LawEnforcementSalesTN. A while back he offered a great flight simulator setup for fee in the Trading Post. I took him up on his generous offer and my now 15 year old daughter is 6 flight hours into her private pilot license! I just wanted to share this. I know I haven't been very active lately. I have been pretty busy and mostly too broke to shoot much lately. Here is one of the many reasons why. A pic of her very first lesson's preflight inspection: Thanks Mike! -southernasylum
6. Great write up! I don't recall the last time I read such an informative and well written article in any gun publication. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7. Wait! So for just $1.25 I can put BHO out of work!? Heck, here's a fiver!   -southernasylum
8. I'm late to the party but my family and I enjoy leisurely kayaking the Harpeth  here in Franklin. There are several places to put in within a few miles of our house. Pinkerton Park, Lewisburg Pk., Williamson County Parks and Rec. etc. We go upstream a couple hours or so and turn around and make our way back. We've got just cheap sit on top style kayaks but they are worth every penny.   -southernasylum
9. Merry Christmas TGO! Thanks David and staff for such an amazing forum. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. BTE stuff is great! I really should stock up on their stuff before their price starts to equal their quality! -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
11. This is what I was thinking. 236mil for 50,000 cameras?! That's $5260.00 a pop! And I thought go pro were expensive. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. I had a similar thing happen to me but I was in a cross walk. I had pretty much the same reaction. I think the adrenaline was such that I didn't notice how bad it hurt until about a half hour later. My knee still hurts once in a while. I should have got her info. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. You know in your heart you need one of each! I love them both. -southernasylum P.S. It's a tax write off for you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. I got a couple of Henkel knives years ago at either Ross or TJ Maxx at a deep discount. They are my go to knives for food prep. You probably won find a full set but I usually only use a few different knives depending on what I'm cutting. I've seen other quality kitchen knives there as well. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. The video says the laser is firing rapidly. The video is synced to pick up the laser(a subsequent laser) at different points of travel because no camera has a frame rate fast enough to follow a single laser. Pretty cool looking effect they got. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. Check out his "Industrial Revolution" video on YouTube. He's amazing. I love the Ben Howard song in it as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. Great info. Thanks for all the tips. I always try to find as much info as possible, then I plunge in head first! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18.
...I have several extra square feet of black pigskin, if you need some to practice with. Just shoot me a PM.
Thanks for the kind offer. TGO is great like that! I already have some I bought last year, I just haven't got around to experimenting with it yet. How did the stuff stick to Kydex? What type of glue did you use? I probably better try my hand with leather first. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19.
nice job, especially on the boning...it took the pattern of the gun real well...did you press it too or is that all boning?
It's all boning. I can never leave well enough alone and tend to over work the leather. All of my work has that distressed look to it. It's a good thing I like that look because I don't think I could do the clean smooth style finish. I'm too rough handling the stuff. Next time I'm gonna try to do one with a pig skin lining. Anyone have tips and tricks on that to save me some hassle? -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. I made this for a friend. It's my first attempt at a thumb break OWB holster. It's for a Glock 22. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. Couldn't resist. I ordered a set. About what will it cost to have these installed?   -southernasylum
22. It's on the corner of 96 and 11th just west of downtown. It's just a drive thru shack but the food is good. I love the white sauce. Hey do have a picnic table or two outside but I've never seen anyone use them. The pork is great and I like the chicken with the white sauce too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. I like them as well but in Franklin I prefer BB's. -southernasylum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. I like my Sig229. If you like the 226 the 229 is similar with a little less bulk. I have small hands though. May not be good for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
25. I like to parboil mine in beer with salt and pepper. Then I finish them on the grill slow and low. Add sauce just before they're done and more sauce after. I usually tweak some sweet baby rays or some other off the shelf sauce with garlic or ginger or whatever I'm in he mood for. I'm usually too lazy to add wood chips but it does taste better that way.
