NM parts are very common on Garands. Are you sure bbl is not marked FED Ord they imported a lot of them in. Pull the slide open and look at rear of bbl markings are normally there MFG&Date. Winchester And Marlin marked the top of bbl and you have to remove rear top hand guard to see it. You may need to wipe wit oily rag to read.

Great stuff used a lot in 9&40 never had one misfire/ftf with it. If you are using a lot you might look into Blazer Brass ,quite a bit less but also have had perfect function.

The back of the Blue Book will give you year made and that is all you will find without a factory letter. If gun is older first generation gun and you are wanting to sell it a factory letter will help if gun was not altered in any way as it will tell you what it was shipped with (bbl length,finish,grips and this is what a collector looks at. letter takes about six months now and only do it if gun is in good enough shape for you to recover the money for letter. A Colt SAA collector could tell you their opinion.
