  1. Open choke #8 or #9 shot. Trick is pick out only one and stay on it untill you shoot then you might get another fast shot in at a couple birds or covey. Watch wher some of them land and you can kick them up again if you let them settle in a few minutes.
  2. Oscars is the place, worth the drive. I think he called it Taco Express when it was a couple blocks down the street.
  3. John @Game Fair -West Nashville-353-0602 He does this for insurance companies and individuals
  4. As above post-buy a new one and if you do not like it you can get all or most of your money back. Nice used ones bring almost new price as demand is high for the 19&23 models.
  5. Parking is main concern at both places. Hall Of Fame, stay parked at downtown hotel if that is where you are staying. It is near 2nd&Broadway where most things are at. Cha Cha on Belmont Univ Campus,LA type place highpriced little food in middle of plate joint. Skip it and stay downtown, lots more fun..

  9. 1917 Era Colt 1911 GI If original(see frame pitting) 80 percent? Approx $1800.00 Plated 400-600 You could take to plater and have nickel reversed and you will have no finish, can then have blued cost 200 -300 and will not increase value much. Just a shooter with history.
  10. Great choice, may be the only gun still made by 2015 as no need for any others. Most important with a Glock get the best quality holster you can find.

    Colt 6520 CAR 15

Three months ago ,great deal. Now ? bottom has fell out of AR"S/AK"S the last week. On Sturmgewehr today Colt 6920 $1099 from a dealer NIB and this is the M4 Style AR
  12. Call S&W 1-800-331-0852 Customer Service all they know is date of mfg
  13. Never could stand the guy having to sit through Carson as a kid. Just found out he was a decorated WWII Fighter Pilot and went back and flew missions in Korea. I now respect the guy.
  14. Was thinking of going and a couple of the vendors there told me there is no air working in building as of now. May be repaired or could be big month long job. anyone have update?
  15. Vans Gun Blue -under ten dollars. Only good Blue I have ever found,no smell when dry. Miracle Products Milton WI ships free if pre paid also available other places. You have prep work done only need to wipe down with acetone or cleaner. Will never look near new but lots better. Four oz bottle good for several guns.
  16. You got the double Whammy, that dude and his wife use my old CPA and they showed up at her office wanting to know how they could put two hundred fifty thousand cash in the bank without the IRS bothering them. Metro Nashville Police homeless study showed average panhandler averages sixty dollars an hour.
  17. Never seen one but have used Mika pocket holsters for years and best I have ever found. Around $25 shipped.
  18. Mine was four months. Number will only tell you renawels are at four months.
  19. No do not shoot it. Metal starts to fatigue at sixty years old no matter how well it was made. It may function fine or the frame could crack/break. It will go from a $1000.00-$2000.00 gun to zero in one round to a gun worth nothing except to you.

    CMP

Garand Collectors Assc, GCA They seem to send you a better gun when this is your membership?? You also get 4 nice books a year on garands from them. They will email your info to CMP on receipt.$35 Year GA. Shooting Assc Was $15 Year.
  21. I use a Mika Pocket Holster. Mika was the holster design person For L.A.P.D. now retired and has his own company. Cost is like $22 shipped and 8 month backorder is now down to a few weeks. Google will bring up website. ** Just looked Website now shows 8-12 week wait, but worth it.
  22. NM parts are very common on Garands. Are you sure bbl is not marked FED Ord they imported a lot of them in. Pull the slide open and look at rear of bbl markings are normally there MFG&Date. Winchester And Marlin marked the top of bbl and you have to remove rear top hand guard to see it. You may need to wipe wit oily rag to read.
  23. Great stuff used a lot in 9&40 never had one misfire/ftf with it. If you are using a lot you might look into Blazer Brass ,quite a bit less but also have had perfect function.
  24. The back of the Blue Book will give you year made and that is all you will find without a factory letter. If gun is older first generation gun and you are wanting to sell it a factory letter will help if gun was not altered in any way as it will tell you what it was shipped with (bbl length, finish, grips and this is what a collector looks at. letter takes about six months now and only do it if gun is in good enough shape for you to recover the money for letter. A Colt SAA collector could tell you their opinion.
  25. Nice gun bottom right hand corner, also nice display of antique handguns with it.
