I took an advanced firearms training class in Mid TN last year and the instructor who is quite tall and large and ex LEO- Swat ,early sixties said "I am a fat old man with back problems and if somebody plans on hurting me with or without a gun,I am shooting them." I left out some language to clean it up. So there is one trainers opinion. If you want to pm me I can tell you who it is.

I see .25&.32 at our local Nashville WalMarts quite often at a good price. Was seeing 100 pack of .380 all the time but that is hard to find again. I also found that some of the WM'S have .22 in stock and keep it under counter and all you have to do is ask.
-
Its all about marketing, let everybody else put one out first then put out a superior product , Then .380 first than a 9mm because you would not sell many .380 s if 9mm was put out first. Now that they have tripled the plant size in GA and can now make smaller guns there probably be a lot of new models coming out. I would guess .22 cal will be Shot Show Of 2016 I am like most shooters when I seen a Miami Police Officer with one about 1987 I said I will never own one and the first one I shot I hated and could not hit a thing with it,but with a little practice found I shot better than any other brand. I now see why they have near 70 percent of US Law Enforcement Market.

Not when there made in Smyrna GA ,no import issues anymore. I get down to factory and work with them at times, but it is like insider trading in the stock market, all just my .2 cents worth with no change and my opinion only. Have to wait and see.

I think it will be like the 42 it will be shown at the Shot Show. It will be just a little bigger overall and will be 9&.40 with .22 lr&mag to follow. My Guess.

Talking to a few folks that live near that exit and they said getting in at 9 AM would not be much of a problem but leaving the show will be brutal unless they have a traffic cop at exit to get back onto main road from Expo Center. The State just said they halted construction on and off because of cold weather and are now hoping to have bridge open by Thanksgiving Day. I sat at a table for a few hours last Franklin Show and we seen about fifteen people come in,it was bad because it was a good show at one time. It looks like the large shows are over in the Nashville area unless a promoter can start one at a nice central location that has lighting,heat/air,&parking.

One of the reasons there are so many .40 M&P'S on the market is Atlanta dumped two thousand+ after two months because they could not keep them functioning ,and went with Glock 22 Pistol. This is after Atlanta using S&W for about sixty years. Combine this with other Police&Security getting rid of them at a fast rate now market flooded with them. (G&T Dist.@ $319) wow Plenty of G-22 Gen Three on market because they make PD'S an offer they can not refuse to upgrade to Gen 4 Pistols and quite a few departments going back to nine or forty five. I used to prefer S&W in the 6906/4006 era stainless and function.

Next question, will we now have to pay sales tax on items ordered through Buds/KY Store as they have a TN location? May have to contact KY store for this.

Got one and really like it much better than LCP,was at factory couple weeks ago and had them look over for any updates and they replaced the mags. The new mags have a # 1 printed into mag on rounds window. Single Stack 9 will be brought out at Shot Show just like 42 was a little larger overall.

Is this part of Bud's Guns out KY?

What kind of belt do you wear with your holster?
Will replied to jeff43's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
After many years of holsters and belts I had an instructor tell me the secret and it is mentioned in above post Kydex Insert Any leather gun belt would sag then try another holster. About a year ago I got a Aker Kydex lined leather and now carry a Glock 22 & extra mag under a T-shirt all day and hardly notice I am wearing it and it pulls everything up tight and flush and never find myself adjusting it,hard to believe it took me fifteen years to stumble across this simple fact. I have mentioned it to a couple buddies and they said" Your just finding this out" I think Galco&Bianchi make them. I got mine from a guy advertises on the Glocktalk Board under the holsters for sale and goes by Pesky He is retired and lives down the street from Aker and turns in orders daily. If he is still around he will get size, color, width&buckle You want. I paid $45 shipped for it last year and still look brand new. -
Went to last one there and it was moved into the back corner of building with no air because a retail store moved into the original part. Talked to promoters people and they said not only were they unhappy so were all the dealers. Said they were trying to find a permeant location like the old Smyrna location. The building has to be able to give a min. one year lease or more allowing 2-6 shows,a large lot allowing plenty of parking, clean, well lit with heat and air working, allow plenty of tables with room for wide isles and be affordable, within about thirty mile radius of Nashville. No luck so far.

Just dug out an aluminum slingshot I put away as a kid. I started looking for flat bands with the pouch and found out all of them have gone to the tube, like Wrist Rocket. Has any one seen them for sale at a store? I know I can get them in EBay or make a pair from a sheet of rubber but would rather walk in somewhere and pick them up. Things change in forty five years. Thanks Will

Same plan and mentality as TN Gun Free Dining Bunch, get one and keep chipping away.
-
Not a lot of it,like to keep a room open and uncluttered. Still what I think was a good price for a 35 mile move across town safe included, and when you use Pros they get a lot more into a truck than I would.
-
Two bedroom condo, outside stuff and room to spare.
-
Thanks all safe House was lowest@ $375 and West End Lock was highest at $500 I ended up finding a local mover that did the safe and a 16" truck full of contents of home for $345 Total, they were licensed, bonded insured. This was across Nashville three hours .

Anyone know any? Thanks Will

I have not seen a S&W 64 under $400-$450 in years and seldom see them now. I was in GT Distributors in Roswell GA which connects to Chattanooga TN and the had a case full for $319 The one I looked over was in good shape with lockup. The salesperson said they were trade from local Parks&Rec Police. They also had tons of S&W M&P .40 Atlanta Police trades for $299 with three mags New to like new condition, seems Atlanta PD only had them a few months and hated them and they went to Glocks. If you buy a pistol there they run it up the street to a shop in TN and transfer for fifteen dollars plus your $10 tics.

Last show was April ,normally not a hot humid month. Why won't they fix it? Cheeep?
-
Last Summer only a few of the air units were working for the whole building,a few of us rented a table for the weekend and packed up and left buy two pm on Saturday. I lost about 10 pounds and it was only about 90 degrees and no air moving with the other side of building worse yet. If you have been there before you know to get in at open and leave by ten. it has been that way the last few years, doubt it it fixed yet.

GSSF Match - Music City Tactical Shooters
Will replied to HOGNUT's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Great fun shot first time a couple yeas ago,and now check for one on my way to other cities to shoot in if driving. A couple of things for new shooters ,bring 100 rds ammo per event. You may not need it all but have it and another 100 per another event. Try to bring at least 3 mags ,one will do but three will save You a lot of time. Sign up for all three stages in the one event right away and get on the board it will keep You from waiting for people that signed up after You. First time questions ask the person behind or near You and they will fill You in on best way to do it. Bring about three mags worth of ammo and You can shoot the practice plates for a couple dollars, great practice before You start event or while waiting for next stage. Bring cold water food ,hat@Off Spray. Have fun. -
You can also get the smaller, lighter weight ,thinner, single stack Model 42 it is just a shortened 9mm cartridge.

Part of their marketing plan. They just finished the new plant in Smyrna that allowed them to make this gun in United States and if it came out in 9mm the .380 sales could have been poor, so with orders waiting for rest of 2014 it looks like they will make it in .40 next year to meet demand for LE wanting it as a backup. Then the 9mm and demand will be high, and final it will be offered in .22 caliber. All marketing.
