Anyone had roof replaced or know someone does good work. After the last hail storm I had a roof looked at ,no hail damage but roof is near ready to replace from 2004 install. I am in Hermitage and home is one level 1100 sq feet. No insurance company will be involved. One roofing company told me they do not get involved unless it is insurance job? Charge more? Thanks Will

Found it best to call TWRA about two weeks out and ask for your area or any close to you, they normally have info by then, also ask about rest of month as they open other fields on weekends. You can also check for private paid fields, they can be great.

area-nashville Lebanon to be new Middle TN gun show central
Will replied to seez52's topic in Events and Gatherings
The new B'oro RK location could turn out to be a great show as the other one was most of the time. I seen dealers there from all over the country with a lot of new neat stuff. Why they picked this show? As the promotors say first to pay gets the table (ninja stuff, roasted nuts to stink up place&crap) Should be all gun related but seldom is. The new Wilson Co center look nice on virtual tour hope it works out,but the RK &GA shows there were sad. -
Just drove by it,stopped to take a look,it is across the street from BK on Middle Tn Blvd. It is two large rooms in a nice remolded building in a strip mall with good lighting and air. looks to be 300/350 tables or so. Parking lot is quite large about three times of the old place, but will fill up if super crowd. It will take on the smell of unwashed bib overalls and molddy unspent paper money by noon or so.

The original building was on Park, this is on Middle TN Blvd and was a converted strip mall. Not at same location.

Has to be better than the fairgrounds shows, sounds like it is in a strip mall that was converted for large events. looks to be a few miles from original building.

Bought a well used 870 Bbl Police Trade In and it was fouled nasty,no rust. Out comes the Hoppes #9 which has cleaned everything my whole life. Did not touch it,combo of lead and plastic wad. Picked up Hoppes premium and nothing. Tried a couple more name brands and zilch. Called a fellow shooter and he said try Remington 40 X Bore Cleaner, had no faith as it did not stink like the rest did. Soaked bore ten minutes with it a yellow paste and run brush and patch through it. Patch came out loaded and black with debris and was almost perfect bore. Ran one more and now like new. Good stuff.

Yes GT price is only good if your on Nooga and pick it up there, you get the true LE price. They add GA tax and I think TN FFL is $15 but still way ahead. If you but any long gun LE there it is run in GA with no $10 background,we are getting hosed. Quantico Tact in Clarksville gives LE discount on S&W products.

There is a reason there are a couple dozen PD Marked guns from so many departments, they all went back to Glock. Google Atlanta PD dumping them in sixty days and going to Glock. I would guess same with ones your looking at.
-
If I am not mistaken there is only one Glock LE dealer in TN,Craigs in Knoxville. The others are in a Glock LE Program and their price has an add on. The only other is as noted above GT Dist in Rossville GA which at Nooga. GT is allowed to sell to TN resident at true LE price, and drives it up the street for you to a TN FFL. The Nashville Armory is in a Glock LE Program and I seen their price was higher than GT for same gun.

Welcome. To My Family everyone on this site is a Yankee (Yank) They were in Europe prior to WWII and the Yankees came over and stayed for two years prior to D Day.

True some are private owned, most are leased from a company with a contract as mentioned, but once it leaves the parking lot they all are under DOT,State& Federal Control&Rules&Regulations.

I got one first week they came out and hated the trigger pull and sold it to a buddy who shot it and liked it. just picked up a used one with a fired case dated Nov 2015 and no comparison. This one has a nice smooth trigger pull like a G19,heard they had to work on trigger and they got it down. I also added a Tuff 1 Grip and it helps a lot.

I hate lost game also, but as My uncle says Yotes&Bobcats gotta live too.

It is their way of getting out of liability in case you shoot someone on bus by accident or not. Tour Busses now have a huge target on them now with Willie/Rappers Drugs&Guns and are under a microscope. Example Feds/Local LE now use Log Book and a dozen other reasons to pull driver over for inspection on road or weigh station and run dogs. If they ask any weapons ?? If you lie you stay for jail for false information, tell truth, bus company boots you off rest of tour. to make a short story long this is just one example.

You will find you will save a pile of money because there is no need to ever own another gun. I would call Glock for price to refinish because their Tennifer Finish puts a polymer in pores to keep it from rusting.I had one done years ago, looked new and was low cost. Glock will also replace all parts in slide for free while they have it.

Had one a while back did same thing. Talked to my gunsmith and said drop it off and he would bend and pattern it until correct. Older pump not worth repairing, sold it. Gunsmith said he gets quite a few in a year. Come that way new? get dropped? who knows.

What a shame,a brand new center and after the first gun show they will have the lasting stench of beef jerky, roasted almonds, and unwashed bib overalls.

Got mine in grade school 1967 for Christmas.Good shooter once you dialed it in. Dad loved it and would always give me his .410 for our tree rat outings,he could put three rounds through same hole at 25 yds on sighting in. Not me. I just found Ithaca Contracted it out of a company in Germany to make it. Had he known this he would have cut it up with a hacksaw after spending three years there in a frozen foxhole. It resides in my safe.

West Virginia Legislators override Gov. Veto of Con. Carry
Will replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Great, have been watching this because I have family just settled in Virginia, becomes law in ninety daysI if only our lawmakers could do this. -
After catering BBQ to various groups for many years in Nashville the place that was requested on repeat was Hog Heaven - Pulled Chicken with white sauce. Number Two is Jacks for pulled pork, turkey&ribs. ,Trinity Road location only. That wraps it up for Nashville. There is a place I hear a lot about I want to try called Hickory?? on Dickerson near downtown. Pucketts at their Leipers Fork Location only is also very good but a long drive from Nashville.

With the Glock 42/43 being the hot carry gun there is not much difference now between power/capacity over a .38 snubby. The one thing taught in many classes is with auto misfire/jam tap rack slide with revolver "pull the trigger again"

Wanted to but not able to save enough money cutting grass A Colt SAA .45 Cal seen where they could be fired off horseback at full gallop up to thirty times without reloading and could take somebody off a hilltop at 300 yards with one round.

Open Carrier Gets Robbed of His Gun
Will replied to gun sane's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have seen two open carry clowns at WM as of late #1 had a full size XD sticking out of his right hip pocket in a pair of baggy pants ready to fall out. #2 was a guy all of 4.5 feet with a SOB Holster and a Sub Compact Glock hanging out mid back carry. It would of took two seconds to remove it without him knowing it. I guess I have never seen a reason to open carry.
